Yes. We did it from fourth or fifth grade on up to senior year. I was a scrawny, unathletic kid, and this was one of the few areas where I could perform well in gym class. There was a mark on the rope indicating how high you needed to climb (probably around 15 feet) but the gym teachers either encouraged or didn't discourage students from climbing to the gym ceiling beams. I read an interview where Allan Ball said that he made a mistake casting St. Patrick because he was too good-looking. The final episode was beautiful and overwhelming, for me.
