Google "Nestle water rights" Bottled water is a horrific industry. I do my best to not support it. It amazes me that we used tap water throughout my childhood and early adult years, but now we feel that buying water or even filtration pitchers and storing a few gallons in the fridge at all times is important. I've never lived in an area where tap water tasted so bad that I couldn't drink it.

I'd be content to be ravaged on a six-burner stainless professional range.

If Valerie Harper is up for it I think it would be great to cast her as a new female character who eventually becomes a love interest for Dan. If not, possibly Sandy Duncan or Betty Buckley.

There's no reason that recording the show would suddenly cause a ratings drop.

March 24, Grace and Frankie, Season 3.

Reviving this thread because I've been binge-watching "Grace & Frankie" for the past couple weeks. The show has become somewhat of a guilty pleasure. It has many of the sitcom tropes I've always hated: Pat resolutions to complex conflicts, instantaneous transitions for both the vibrator business and Sol and Robert's relationship, excessively stupid/naive/silly "Rose Nylund" type character traits for Frankie - Coyote - Sheree, dumb storylines, repetitive "we're angry until we reaffirm that we love each other" plots, everyone lives in comfortable upper middle-class wealth or successful extremes including the recovering addict, one-note character profiles for many of the parts -- "the neurotic," "the ditz," "the hypochondriac," "the emotional one," etc. I've grown to love the show's heart in spite of the formulaic plots and mawkishness. June Diane Raphael plays Brianna so well, and I love that character. Ethan Embry is so cute as Coyote, and it's a hoot to think that he played the spoiled kid in "Dutch". Peter Cambor is a stud, so it's cool to see him nerded-down as Barry. It's fun to see these older beloved actors show up -- Marsha Mason, Craig T. Nelson, Swoosie Kurtz, Michael Gross, Talia Shire, Mary Kay Place, Corbin Bernsen, Christine Lahti, Vernee Watson, Estelle Parsons... They should have made the show "Grace & Frankie & Jacob" though. I treasure every second of Ernie Hudson's screen time. At 73 he's painfully handsome, and I think Jacob is such a lovable character -- especially when he's wearing a t-shirt. There should have been an episode where Frankie gets swept into the ocean and Jacob has to save her, getting soaked and/or shirtless in the process. -

Reporters for local TV news are often terrible journalists. The pay is very low, and the stations are often just looking to hire telegenic college grads. It's been a long time since all but the top colleges took grammar and writing seriously. News stories are developed in a couple of hours, and are based on two or three soundbites. My impression is that there are maybe one or two reporters with writing and journalistic skills on staff at any station or newspaper writing a few decent pieces. News is 95% filler written by and for people who communicate via text and social media post. It's not edited heavily because most stories have a lifespan of a day or less. One of the trends in reporting that amazes me is the practice of pulling stories off of social media. If people are arguing about a topic in a Facebook group or a comments section a reporter will go with "People are concerned about ______" as a subject, with absolutely no research into the substance of a topic. As an example, one of our council representatives proposed a bill that generated a lot of controversy, much of which was centered around disinformation spread about fear-mongering falsely predicted consequences of the bill spread by business owners with obvious vested interests. Two local TV news stations picked up the story, quoting comments from Facebook and seeking interviews with vocal opponents, but they used a biased layman's interpretation of the bill instead of actually reading the bill's verbiage. I questioned one reporter as to why the bill itself was omitted from the story. She explained that it would have been too wordy and no one would understand it. I sent her a copy of the two short sentences making up the actionable component of the bill's text, and she countered with "it just didn't make a good story." It became clear that she had never bothered to look it up.

Please forgive my defensive response. You appeared to be reading some unstated position into what I had said, and the over-the-top prior response about bigotry and not accepting people had me loaded for bear. I don't know if there's a definition of a "true top." I don't think bottoming disqualifies a top from being a top -- I could spend paragraphs exploring my opinion of the nuances between total top, versatile top, and versatile as well as the reasons why someone might bottom and still be classified as a top or mostly top. I'm a total bottom and a pleaser. I've topped, but only when it's been expected of me -- it's not something I seek out for myself. I get a big charge out of the (often unattainable) ideal of an uncompromising top seeking his own pleasure.

"Requirements" is an interesting reinterpretation of what I've stated. Also, "to <sic> much to handle" is a bit of a stretch. You're putting a lot more thought into this than I do. This started when I noted that I'm one of those guys who might set expectations for the advertised tops mentioned by the OP. If you want to debate this as an absolute you're talking to the wrong guy.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a vers top. I've never said there's anything wrong with it. "Bizarre" is a matter for point-of-view. "Bigoted" is a false assessment. I definitely agree that it's possible for my desires and inclinations to not make sense to you. This has nothing to do with not accepting people in the community. I'm talking about who I choose to hire for a sexual fantasy. If I said I was strictly into having sex with guys in leather gear you wouldn't say that I'm unaccepting of naked guys. I completely understand bottoms who value experienced versatile top and versatile men -- because they appreciate what a top can learn from being on the bottom and enjoying it. I enjoy the illusion of a sexual partner dedicated to an aggressive dominant role.

They kept it because Marina Sirtis loves to twirl it in-between her fingers. I think Frakes just didn't wanna do it.

Yes, block him now. Clearly looking to hook up, damaged and still healing from a breakup, baggage packed with drama. I've both met this guy and been this guy.

Netflix's Queer Eye For The Straight Guy Reboot
Nvr2Thick replied to LoveNDino's topic in TV and Streaming services
I just started checking out this show. It was pretty clear even from the first episode that they were following a formula and the encounters were contrived and semi-staged. Does anyone really believe that the guys didn't know that they were going to be pulled over by the redneck cop's redneck cop friend in episode 3? Does anyone buy that Karamo was frightened and put off by this fake BLM moment, and that the conversation between him and the white cop was unscripted and spontaneous -- leading to Karamo's growth-moment? Episode 4 with the straight-acting guy coming out was just annoying. I have doubts as to how real the story was. It makes me think that they hooked up one of their friends to get a makeover on the production company's budget -- "Just let your hair and beard grow for a couple weeks, dress kind of frumpy, throw your shit all over your gorgeous condo, and we'll come in and hook you up." They took a coming out story, one of the most difficult parts of most of our lives, and prettied it up with a guy who already had an active gay social life, a super-hot boyfriend, and <oh my gosh!> a hot body. I seriously doubt this guy was conflicted about coming out to his family and coworkers if he was ready to pose in leather for a TV show. I don't recall watching any of the original shows. This one definitely appears to be more of a fictional TV drama. Even the Trading Spaces reboot seems more real. -
I'm one of those closed-minded guys who fixates on the stereotype of the total top, and can have a problem accepting a versatile top or a versatile man who happens to be very skilled in the top role. Apparently a lot of us are out there forcing some more versatile escorts to adopt the total top role for the sake of our illusions.

A digital effects team had to remove Jonathan Frakes' back hair from a love scene in the last (awful) Star Trek movie.
