I can't imagine you are any less engaging and passionate as when we met maybe 15 years ago.

In the lower mountain, it can be. BUT even if it's raining on the lower part, it will be snowing on the top part. It's a wonderful GIGANTIC resort you'll have a great time, don't let me disuade you :-)

2019 - Coming to Broadway "Epic Gay Play"
Rod Hagen replied to edjames's topic in Live Theater & Broadway
I have some friends with mostly good taste who also saw both parts in London. I'm ambivalent. I want to see it, however, I chafe against theater prices lately. When I saw Wolf Hall, Parts one and two, when it was playing in London, the total, for both tickets and two nights, was nearly $1200 total (@ $300 x2 each both nights). I look forward to hearing the thoughts of other board members (thank you MscleLovr) who see The Inheritance as I make up my mind There's no guarantee it will come to LA, it's not a musical, so I'll have the additional expense of travel to New York, a city I do not love any longer, or at least not deeply, not any more. p.s. Last Year I made the mistake of seeing King Lear, and had the pleasure of seeing the mostly enjoyable Network with Brian Cranston. -
I can DEFINITELY attest to all of that!

The one time I attended there was SO much rain down in the village. I love Whistler and I've been other times, but for me it's always rained in the lower elevations, even in the colder months January and February. Has it usually rained for you in the lower, or am I just unlucky?

At clinics, I assume they are building some database for some study that might be useful, I tell the hole truth. I'm ashamed to say, I've never told my primary care physician the whole story. He knows I'm gay, he knows I'm active; he might benefit from knowing I'm for hire, but he's a family man and a friend and so in the 20 years I've known him I have held that part secret.

Jeff Goldblum's new show at Southern Decadence?
Rod Hagen replied to n2guysnatl's topic in The Lounge
Having nothing to do with your thread other than it's about JG, over the last 20 years I've seen him several times in West Hollywood restaurants (not the gay ones, although Hugo is gayish) always with a young woman and ALWAYS very very affectionate with her. He is certainly not afraid of public displays of affection. :-) Seems very friendly to everyone around him. -
I've been escorting for 20 years and it was only a year ago that I became reachable via business texts. I just hate the language: How much? Available? and, "Hey". Emails and phone are much more personal and MUCH less likely to lead to flakes. But, I live in the world and eventually I had to give in. I don't like it, but part of being a compassionate person is to utilize the language of others.

Why rural "straight" men have bud sex with each other.
Rod Hagen replied to Walker1's topic in The Lounge
Love that movie. Love all Paul Bartel movies. Yes, he says "A mouth is a mouth is a mouth." As RB is about to get fucked (or whatever transpires, we don't get to see much) he says to himself, "you live long enough, you do some crazy shit." My favorite part of that scene is when RB wakes in the morning, looks over at RS next to him in bed, and rather than be appalled or regretful, he shrugs his shoulders in a very "not so bad" manner. Fun movie. -

Oh the number of times I've fantasized about going back in time and fucking EVERY closeted farm dad in my very very small home town; it's a large number of jack sessions that's for sure. -
I saw NPH do Hedwig, he was fantastic. 15 years ago in LA I saw Wade McCollum do Hedwig on stage and he was remarkable.

withouth the pour over, you're right, it's not too big. :-)

I guess I've aged out of the club! Or I've become a prick. OR I was always a prick. :-)

When I've stayed at hotels that skimp on the inroom coffee maker and are too inexpensive to have room service, I've resorted to letting the hot water run for some time and then using my Starbucks Italian Roast instant coffee packets. It's not nearly as hot as I'd like, but it gets the morning moving. Mike B, I love your collapsible travel kettle, but I'm a minimalist carry-on-only packer and that is just too bulky still for me. Maybe version 2.0!

Late night appointments. Okay? Not okay? Why?
Rod Hagen replied to Aaron_Bauder's topic in Questions About Hiring
It depends on where you're living. SoCal ppl have very flexible schedules, so day time's no problem. NYC ppl work till 8 or 9 or even 10, so late night may be only option. Oh and those SoCal people who are from the East Coast tend to prefer late nights. When I was an escort in my 20s I took all the 3 am calls just because I thought it was sleazy and fun. Once I was in line at 2am to get into the Hollywood Spa (bathhouse). My pager went off, I used someone's nokia (remember that ring tone?) to call them back. Drove to the hills for an appointment. Finished just before 4, still felt energized, so I went BACK to Hollywood Spa and fucked till Dawn. I switched to day time and early evenings in my early 30s and remain there now. Point-being, late night is exciting and exhausting. Also, there's more likely to be drugs if that bothers, or excites, you. -
Kristian is the man!

Who's the original Nice Guy escort, Casey Donovan? People I know who hired him said he was as nice as advertised. Any one here who hired him?

I give my masseur a big tip at Christmas. (Money, not that other kind of tip :-) ) I do it to let him know how much he contributed to my happiness and health that year. And I do it all in one big payment, rather than stagger the tips throughout the year, so it's something he can count on, at a time we all need more money, the end of the year. And that way he never has to have that voice in his head that says, "he tipped $20 to me last time, but only $10 or not at all this time, did I do something wrong?"

In my 20s most of my clients were in their 40s, the rest were distributed more or less evenly through 50s 60s 70s and 80s, maybe 90s. In my early 30s, most were in their 50s and 60s. However, also for a few years in my early 30s I offered a discount to those 24 and under, just as an experiment. And it worked. I wasn't old enough to be a "daddy" but I was old enough to steer inexperienced men around tight turns. In those years I often saw adult teens and men in their early 20s. Young people bore me, generally, so after awhile I stopped the discount, or at least stopped advertising it. Now, more than a decade later, I rarely see young men. A couple have called me daddy which on the one hand I get. On the other hand, there's nothing about me that seems "daddy". I don't have gray hair yet...yet. Nothing about my personality is "daddy" so much as I'd never respond with that kind of lingo: "son" "boy" etc. But I get it, I'm 46, so there's that. I think escorts my age and a bit younger probably have better "luck" seeing younger guys because they're willing to play the daddy card. That's not me.

Funny episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where Jeff Garlin was looking at houses just to fuck the agents, and when his wife figured it out she made him buy the most expensive/ridiculous house even though he had no intention of actually buying one.
