Strictly therapeutic masseurs on gay sites - yay or nay?
rustyrex replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
And this is why have nearly stopped booking from gay sites. I do not go for therapeutic massages from people that aren’t licensed and I’m not paying more because they are a good looking man. If I want therapeutic I go to other sites. If I book on the gay sites it’s for more than massage but it seems most of men on these sites are so vague and when I press for details they don’t really offer them which means I’ve basically wasted my time contacting them. So no thanks…I’m not paying $200 and higher for someone to literally try to tenderize me because they think I’m muscular enough to handle that sh!t. Last time I hired from a gay site the guy was unlicensed, and I thought okay well maybe he’ll offer a hell of a HE. Nope…didn’t even remove his cloths and hurt me because he thought he was helping me out with literally grabbing my muscles and driving his knuckles into me and I specifically asked for erotic. So no thanks…for truly legit licensed massage you can get it at a reasonable price elsewhere…from a straight guy even…if that’s your thing. But for me it’s a no unless they have a dual ad on RM too. -

Recently got back from Phoenix and hired 2 amazing guys. Both were totally what I go for, roided out muscles with tats and both experiences were really good. But....one of them didn't clean out all that well. It totally killed the experience and he was so embarrassed he ran to the bathroom to clean up. I was so disappointed because after that, it pretty much ended the experience as he didn't want to continue. What do you do in this situation? I ended up finishing myself off and didn't bring up the issue as I could tell he was mortified. I didn't hold anything against him either but I wonder...this has to be a common issue. How do you all handle this?

I’m not sure “star” is word I use anymore. There are so many amateur and popular faces out there that are in business without the backing of a studio and do really well. I been with a couple of porn models and it’s almost like a surreal experience. Being able to actually have sex with the fantasy on the screen still shocks me. Are they worth the hype and the price? Depends on the model. Some are absolutely worth the expense and others…… For me it’s mostly about the experience of being able to enjoy them as they are.

Texted him yesterday and never heard back from him. I’m thinking the profile isn’t real or he isn’t serious about his ad. He’s done videos with a few of the listed guys in Vegas.

With the advent of new ways to spruce up a picture I’ve noticed it starting to happen more and more in the ads. It’s getting to the point that I’m starting to doubt my trust in anyone’s pictures nowadays. I understand guys want to look their best but we are getting to a point that I can’t tell what’s real anymore. Some guys way over do it and their skin is too smooth or blemish free and some have hair that looks fake. After looking at some pics generated by midjourney of people that don’t actually exist, I’m wondering how long it will be before it infiltrates and overruns the ads and porn. These two pics are somewhat obvious to me, but you could also argue that they are using a filter. I wonder if providers will need to verify they are a real person in the future?

Just picked up RAV4 prime and I love it! No range anxiety and I have the best of both worlds. I do ev mode for day to day and hybrid for the long road trips.

I was hoping to meet this guy, after seeing him just take someone’s money and flake…not anymore.
-
Yes I’ve met him many times. Very nice guy and very genuine. I’m not sure why he changed his name this time around and covered his face. I didn’t know he was in the hospital I don’t really social media except this and one other plat form. If this is his last hurrah hopefully it’s one that can keep him comfortable for years to come. He’s been saying for years that he’s going to live in France hopefully he can make that possible. I would see him again but he’s preferred to stay in the bigger cities so our paths probably won’t cross again.

To do a proper flex on the guys….you gotta put on the whole jewelry box. Make sure you have Aunt Ekla’s broach on for good luck!!!
-
Don’t forget height….I hired someone that said they were well over 6 feet and ended up being shorter than me. Catfish’s too….the guy answers the door and I’m like…I think I have the wrong place…then they get all crazy and admit that the pic is very old.

Do most clients hiring masseurs expect a happy ending?
rustyrex replied to MeatHead's topic in Questions About Hiring
After being a client with this long term I would say this, what are your true intentions? Are you just trying to make extra money for a side hustle or are you interested in delving into side of sexuality of being desired and being payed for it. There are a lot of men that are unskilled in both massage and emotional intelligence and once they get into this type of work they become emotional drained, more apprehensive about gay men in general, and jaded with the business of providing a service that is extremely personal to a complete stranger. For example, the last guy I hired for a massage was very apprehensive about meeting me and wanted various things up front before the encounter such as payment with cash. The appointment was in his home, which was in a very bad side of town, and I could tell that he wasn't even comfortable with me being there until he realized I was not a threat. His body was amazing and he was somewhat personable but very stand offish. He was unskilled despite him telling me he had training and his manner wasn't welcoming. He did offer a happy ending but once he got started it was like he wanted me to cum in 3 minutes. I had to finish myself off but the encounter wasn't the best. I will never go back to him again and I noticed that he took his ad down a week later. I don't think he had it in him to continue providing that kind of service. He told me that the business wasn't that good and that his safety was compromised with a couple of guys that he had to call the cops on. He told me that he would get calls in the middle of the night from men that were high and wanted to be seen and would harass him if he refused. He told me about having a guy steal from him and having to pull a gun on another guy to get him to leave. He told me he doesn't see men of color because of his past experiences with them and that he's refused someone at the door once he sees them. The real kicker is that he is only one of the many stories these men tell me. While there was a time I thought about going into the business myself I had to ask myself why and what were my expectations of the money and reward for being desirable. I decided it wasn't for me. The job I have now provides me a sense of being in that business, I work in healthcare, but at the end of the day I'm emotionally exhausted and want to be in cocoon away from others so I can recharge. It takes a special type of soul to be in the business, if you have what it takes then give it a try. -
As someone that lives in ABQ, it's okay. There is a community here but it's not as robust as the bigger cities and the way of life is slower paced. It's fairly affordable but it does have lots of homeless and violent crime. Not to the scale of the bigger cities but it's gotten worse over the years. We have cultural things that make us very unique...we do have a tourist draw for the Balloon Fiesta. If you wanted to go to a bigger city they aren't too far away. You have Denver and Phoenix which are 6ish hours away. Vegas is 8 and Dallas is 9. The border is 4 hours away if that's your thing. It's a democratic state and fairly liberal. It's gay friendly and the weather isn't bad but it does get cold here in the winters.

I could see requiring people to pay for access to the phone number or access to email the provider but limiting pics seems a little overboard. It’s like they want to have a side business making money off shielding the pics but here’s the real question. Are any providers getting paid from the premium memberships? Why would I want someone to charge for my pics and then not give me a cut of the proceeds? If I were paying for photographers and photo enhancements why wouldn’t I want that money back if someone else is making money off my likeness. How would limiting pics that I use to entice customers be a good move for me as a provider? Charging for access to the phone number however would cut out the nonsense and most likely put a serious customer in contact with who they want to see. I’m a little pissed by the move because I’m not spending money for pics when I can do that and watch actual porn on a site that is better equipped.

Remember if you want more you have to be up front about it. I got to the point where I’ll ask for playtime and they either say yes or no. If they say no, I move on..I’ve gotten to old to do the maybe or maybe not guessing game. I just ask for what I want or need. Better to go in and know what your getting than pay a lot money and be pissed jr didn’t even get caressed.

I gave up on masseurfinder years ago and as soon as guys starting charging outrageous fees without any type of skill I went to a local guy. He’s gay friendly and married but has thrown hints…I don’t let it go to far because he’s the type to back away and tell me he doesn’t want me as a client if it goes to far. Usually book an hour and a half it’s almost a steal. The massage is pretty good and I don’t feel ripped off because I don’t expect anything more. Going to the other sites however, I end up paying more and might get some playtime with someone who isn’t trained but I expect more due to the overt advertising of erotic or sensual. Sometimes it’s anything but that. Glad I found a regular guy that is reasonable.
