  1. I'm going to Vons every day the next few days at different times to see when is the best time to go. I went at 10am today minimal to average amount of shoppers per pre-panic days, but workers were just starting to stock some of the items that were out. Going to try Target before closing later to see how that store fares at the end of the day...I need conditioner and TP!
  2. Behavior that I call "now factor"... basically when someone is looking to meet 'now' , or only once I am in town (even though I am only ever on town for two or 3 days and balance other appointments) or only because a certain opportunity arises, instead of willing to book in advance, even if in advance would only be commiting to something two or three days ahead. Also when it seems that rates will be the ultimate deciding factor, rather than be in conjunction with availability and in today's case health as well. The now factor seems especially true when my travel dates have been set over 3 weeks, and would have shown up in searches in each city since then. I'll disclose this has been Chicago the most this trip, but I didn't end up going. It helps because it shows there is more interest in that city than the typical number of new inquires I receive, but should be taken with a grain of salt as these might be hard appointments to book alongside others if they can't set dates ahead of time or only looking because they think they can haggle for lower rates. Although a few possible gems have been uncovered that hopefully will be fun times when I can travel there next ??
  3. Side note, my neighbors would extra hate me if I invested in speakers/sound system...they probably only just slightly hate me... blasting 00's rock since finally being home today...might go on a Santana tangent now
  4. For all the "geezers" out there, you rock!?
  5. The title of this thread is "What's happening in Las Vegas with COVID-19" Kindly take your views of the situation over to the Politics portion of the forum. Thank you.
  6. I thumbed down your posts too...?‍♂️
  7. Why can't we get through a global medical crisis without focusing on polarizing, (the "P" word...shh) ideologies??!??!!?!!!?‍♂️ (This emoji is my new life now)
  8. I kind of unfortunately arranged a travel trip right in the middle of this craziness DC March 13-15 NYC March 15-17 Boston March 17-19 Chicago 19-22 Lockdowns started happening the dates I was in DC I have had a 90% cancellation rate over the entire trip from appointments I had already on the schedule, some due to reconsiderations others from their own travel plans being cancelled. Ultimately, I left Boston back home to Vegas on the 19th. Interesting though, a side effect is that I am noticing a few things about certain cities and their hiring tendencies and behaviors because of all this. Unfortunately too, some have already tried to contact me looking for a basement bargain? Some have limits and value their self worth and mental health, and I caution others who might try this to not. Myself, if it came down to it, would rather enter the regular workforce again before accepting a rate that would make me feel negatively towards that. I can be flexible sure, and I am sure others may as well, but don't expect to pay 100 when someone's rate is 240, even for less time. For meeting with one person, and risking my health I am not about to accept less than half than normal?‍♂️
  9. Just got back from the grocery store, small victories in what I was able to get, other compromises. I never seen bare shelves like that since I was part of a grand opening team of a few jobs... EMPTY
  10. People also can't cover up when coughing either...in Boston before I left back home to vegas, in a Dunkin donuts this guy, waiting for his order with dining chairs and tables already taped off, had the audacity to cough several times with making any effort to cover his mouth with anything!?‍♂️
  11. Again, the danger is how many of those cases that live will turn out to be deaths once supplies for medical intervention are no longer available? I agree though...world is ending panic? No. Cause for dire concern and immediate action? Yes.
  12. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html The reality however, is that there is a large number being kept alive by ventilators. If and when that supply is maxed out, the death rate will increase significantly because human intervention will not be able to lessen the number of deaths.
  13. Anyone else live in an apartment complex where amenities have been shuttered till further notice? And is there ground to stand on to petition to pay less rent? (Las Vegas)
  14. I find it's even less reliable than the email system, at least within the browser. Unless directly on the page or refreshing the page, it still relies on a email notification to know that you have a message, which can come hours to a whole day later or not at all. Add to that a 25-50 percent crash rate (on my Samsung phone on chrome browser) when trying to even click a message to view it, I'll have to close the page and reopen it. *In fact, 5 minutes after I typed this go to check, and I have message on messenger from 2 hours ago...page froze trying to open it ?‍♂️
  15. Super long post to say the obvious, on a medical issue, why would we seek to get information from the opinion of a journalist on Instagram? Who uses his site to double as a store to profit off of merchandise??‍♂️ Whose SEO description for his website on Google is "Truth In Media is an internationally recognized source of real news that cuts through the false left-right paradigm." So not unbiased but potentially political leaning...

  17. For those that are the medium to lower tier of income flow from digital content, the hustle/grind is going to be real and hard. I would expect increased propositions to go on well into the next several months.
  18. Didnt know where else to post this. Flying home from Boston to Vegas right now. Airport is EMPTY! Probably close to a dozen TSA agents on their phones. Very stark contrast to what the scene must have been for international arrivals a few days ago.
  19. You can freeze both so you never know?
  20. Been noticing the fakes you and @dutchal have been uncovering...makes me wonder, for the boasts that there are an endless sea of hotties to chose from in NYC...what percentage of those ads are fake pics or scams?
  21. Based off his hash tags it could work for him, although seeking.com or the like would be the appropriate platform, I agree not an escorting platform. Even so the marketing wording needs to be way better.
  22. If he can't cover the costs of a travel schedule or minimize costs, he shouldn't be traveling. My rule of thumb is when you have to overly speak in the affirmative about something, it's BS. Deposits can and are used to weed out flakes, but those providers that operate like that do it in a valid way with a tasteful manner that ties into their image and brand, and don't reiterate it weeds out flakes. So the fact that he has to say that in his approach, I guarantee you that it is a scam and he would only actually meet if he feels like it.
  23. This is practical on paper, but at what point is it that the other person is too picky or apprehensive? We as escorts even get this, or in non hiring hook ups as well ( people want age, height, weight, waist size, dick size, race, eye color hair color, pictures to confirm, reask stat questions, ask for more pictures, and on and on with the cycle, with curvy/overweight women it can be exponentially worse) To the @britok I would just disclose a weight range and height in this manor...5'9 250+...or 5'9 300+.... etc. then just add that you are healthy and hygienic. If a provider asks for pictures or any other questions on stats or appearance they are already going to be judgemental.

  25. Excluding China for having to experience it first, the whole world dropped the ball really. I have been reading about this virus since New Year's. Anyone I've met can probably recount me saying I have wanted to take a trip overseas this year, because as far as International travel I have only been to the Caribbean and Puerto Vallarta. But had to abandon hope months ago when I read airports in China were starting to temperature screen, as I always have run warm. I just vastly under estimated consumer product panic.
