I dropped my phone in the InnDulge hot tub last night. It was submerged for a few seconds and the touch screen now isn’t working. Fingers crossed it dries out and returns to normal. In case anyone is texting me I am not ingoring you. I can’t respond now, but will get back once my phone is working again.

I once left my phone in the pocket of shorts I washed (before smart phones).  Put it in a bag of rice for a couple of weeks, worked fine after, but screen had a weird line on it.

  3. Been on Ozempic since late last summer (now on .50 dose).  Had a very had time with side effects for a very long time in the beginning, diarrhea mostly, and some nausea, was ready to give it up, but finally, after all this time doing better.  I learned certain foods were triggers for the side effects.

When I started, my A1C had always been just a skosh under diabetic level.  I was pre-diabetic for years.  Now, my last A1C was down to 5.4.

Before Ozempic, my weight had ballooned up to 268 (5 foot 5 inches).  My weight has since gone down to as low as 242, but has fluctuated between that and 250.

Age-related vertigo, perhaps? Anybody else experience such a change?

Last 10 years or so, driving over long bridges (e.g. Mackinac) gives me a lot of anxiety.  Even the Skyway, a very short bridge in comparison, can get me tense.  30-40 years ago, had no problem driving over the Mackinac, or  Golden Gate Bridge.

Worked at Willis Tower for a few years, would go up to a floor in the 60's were you didn't land in other offices, and look out the window for a quiet break.  Didn't have a problem with that, but that was over 10 years ago.

I've been trying to make sourdough bread. Ordered some good starter from the King Arthur baking company. But my results have been kinda MEH!

Any bread bakers among the brethren? I need some tips.

The only tip I can offer is go to Shop and Save (Chicago and burbs).  They make a good Sourdough (no yeast) bread.

I got the Covid and RSV and the same time last week.  I have not had any reaction to Covids before (other than the sore arm), so I am guessing it was the RSV that put me in bed for two days?  Severe fatigue and headache and blahness!

My doctor told me to space out the shots (flu, covid, RSV) by a week or two each.  Flu, and covid done.  We'll see how the RSV goes.

  7. My condo has radiant heat along the outside walls that usually keeps me warm and toasty, so much so, I sometimes open the patio door a crack to cool it down.  However this past week of below zero temps, it was cold inside, and I turned on the heat on the air-handler to warm up.  I think I need to invest in new windows,

  8. Growing up in Detroit, we didn't shop at Sears.  Closest Sears was Grand River and Oakman, but we lived close to Grand River and Greenfield that had Montgomery Ward, Federals, and a block away, a JC Penny. Every fall, go Wards for school clothes and shoes.  Our kitchen and laundry appliances, and living room furniture was from there.  It was a big store, attached to Kresge's (parent of K-Mart).   Three floors, plus the Mezzanine, and an Annex. Sold just about everything, including cemetery headstones (our across the street neighbor worked there selling headstones).

Or I went to Macy's to buy a new bed and the salesman said I would get 10% I believe if I opened a Macy's credit card. I did and just closed it after I paid it off.

Be careful.  Once, several years ago, while Christmas shopping, I was offered extra discounts if I opened a new account for purchase.  I agreed to save some money.  I think it was Penny's, Target, and Sears.  Next thing I know, in spring when my car insurance (State Farm) bill came due, it had gone up more than expected.  The reason given was based on my credit report where new accounts were opened.
