I've heard more than one gay community voice say that the decision to put L first was in gratitude for the number of times lesbians cared for sick and dying gay men during the AIDS crisis. I was too young and in the wrong part of the country to see that first hand. But I believe it. I will gladly put L first if even some of the L community cared for the rest of us in that time when the country, culture, and our families left us to die unattended.

The Denver airport is rebuilding some portion of their runways currently and has a reduced capacity because of it. A LOT of flights through Denver are being cancelled or delayed. I'm going to avoid connecting through Denver for the rest of 2025 at least. I had a flight that was supposed to connect through Denver early in June. Denver delayed my flight's arrival and cancelled my connection. I found a hotel for the night then they cancelled my flight in the morning and rebooked me for the afternoon. Then they notified me that flight was unlikely and to pick a standby flight. The soonest standby flight available was three days later. I rented a car and drove 820 miles instead.
