There is a lot of contextual stuff that makes different touches okay or not okay. In a bathhouse, I pretty much expect to be touched. I’ve slowly reached forward to place my hand on a guy’s chest before slowly tracing a line down his belly and finally touching his cock and balls. Do either of those with some eye contact and you’re behaving respectfully for the context of the environment. There are other signs of consent in a bathhouse environment. If a guy is blindfolded and has his hands through the loops of a Saint Andrew’s Cross in a bath, he’s pretty much advertising that he’s available to be used somehow. I heard a piece of advice for teenage boys about how to ask permission to touch their date without sounding like a robot or like a prossecutor interrogating a witness. Imagine a teenage boy and girl kissing and making out then this happens: BOY: I like your ass. BOY: I want to touch your ass. BOY: I’m going to touch your ass. BOY touches girl’s ass. She didn’t have to give explicit consent in that scene, but he’s done due diligence prior to touching her. Whispered into her ear while they kiss and make out, she may be dying with anticipation for him to touch her ass before he does it. It can turn gaining consent into something actually sexy and kind of a form of dirty talk. If the guys near the pool at the resort had used a strategy like that, this whole thread would be entirely different.

I got the COVID, flu, and RSV shots on Monday afternoon. I felt pretty strong headache, body ache, and nausea symptoms from Monday night through Tuesday evening. But now, Wednesday morning, I’m feeling 97% normal. I felt like I needed to rush to get the COVID shot while I could. CVS let me schedule all three shots online and I was in-and-out in less than ten minutes.

At 52 I took first in age group, second in men, and fourth overall in a local 10k race. I’m 58 now and I run as a middle-of-the-pack fun run guy. Every year the train hard enough to improve performance and train hard enough to get injured levels get a little closer together for me. I’ve given up a few rougher activities. I don’t race obstacle courses (I loved that sport!) anymore and retired from teaching martial arts when my doctor told me to avoid getting hit in the head after surgery to restore my hearing. But, I’m hitting the gym and jogging in a five on one off schedule. My Korean War veteran uncle still speed walks in local charity 5k events at 93. You’ll have to adjust how you exercise over the years, but stay as active as you can.

I always say that tastes in sexual attraction are like tastes in foods. One person may love liver and onions while another person only eats ice cream and some people are happy to eat whatever they can get. My sexual attractions are REALLY broad. Wow. A provider I ate dinner with several years ago told me some heartbreak stories he’d experienced but none were so life-and-death. He said that had a bunch of encounters with 50+ year old closeted men who had wives and children who had their first male-male experience with him.
