Good point. Could just be that the client has anger issues or just lacks respect for escorts as human beings with the same freedom of choice as clients.

There is also that pesky practical issue of being cleaned out and ready to go. Douching is not particularly good for you. Certainly not douching one or more times per day. For the client, it's no big deal. It's a special occasion. But it can be a lot of work for an escort to bottom regularly, and God forbid there be the least little mess, he would get shredded for being unprofessional!

As for the cause of the OPs rant... anyone who would say he is not "top enough" for me because he has bottomed at one time or another, is an asshole. And not the good kind.

So we make more money when we are hotter, don't screen our clients, and treat our work as if it were another job?
It sounds like you are saying hot people are dumb but at least they make more money ;-)

Non of the escorts I know that screen clients turn them away because of their stats (or their race). Those that don't screen tend to end up bitching about their jobs more and find themselves in unsafe or unfortunate situations.

In the end, whether we screen or not comes with its pros and cons. And I love the puns!

    Oy vey.

This may be a mistake. I’m going to limit this comment to that of economics since I’m a nerd when it comes to that sort of thing and got an undergraduate degree in it. (Note I said undergraduate - not a Ph.D!! Ha!) That, and I have no need to be right and wish providers and clients the safest of successes - however they might be defined to them.

First - supply and demand is, of course, fundamental to economic theories. It’s basic enough for most folks to understand. If supply goes up and demand stays constant, then it should drive prices down because the number of purchasers of a product has not increased, but the availability of that product has increased. And, of course, the reverse is true.

What I see in this instance is not really a change in supply or demand, but instead a “constraint” upon the system or marketplace for connecting the provider(supply) with the consumer(demand). Sort of like if you suddenly closed down a stock exchange. The supply of stock is there and the potentialpurchasers of said stock are there but their vehicle (I.e organized exchange; their efficient way of connecting) is removed, negatively impacted, or is reduced in some way. They are left to connecting through their existing known relationships but have limited access to providers they have no current knowledge and/or connections with. Over time, though, they will develop ways to “find one another again.”

Now, if the passage and reaction to this law had happened more slowly, perhaps it could be argued that the market could have adjusted with large numbers of providers leaving the market to reduce supply, but basically this has happened relatively quickly, and I think it’s safe to assume that the supply of providers is relatively the same. I think it’s also safe to assume that the demand for providers has not changed.

So what has and/or will change? It’s the way in which providers and clients can easily connect and transact business through online platforms. Making it more difficult; reducing platforms and ease of contact has an impact on BOTH sides - I would argue equal impacts - it reduces opportunity for the provider and it impedes choices for the client. Therefore, I would expect prices to hold constant if it’s equal. This is at least until the marketplace finds a way to adapt - and I believe it will. How soon is hard to guess, but it will. In the meantime, I would expect providers to become more reliant on their “regulars” and those “regulars” will be potentially less distracted with other options in the meantime.

Anyhow, I could be wrong. I don’t claim to know everything, but I do think that the OP’s premise that demand will be going up is misled (or at least doesn’t acknowledge the factors mentioned here) unless the online portals used to connect providers and clients make up a small portion of the market, which I doubt.

Bottom line is I believe that the law places a constraint on the industry which has impacts on both sides of the supply/demand equation.

And this will hopefully be the extent of my contribution of another long-winded post on this thread. Thanks for indulging an Econ nerd if you even read to this point. Cheers and best wishes to all!

The fittest person I know -- with a perfect athletic body to confirm it -- starts out almost every day with a HIIT workout generated by an app and swears by them. He does that to fire up the metabolism and remain lean and flexible. (He also works out again in the evening for muscle development, but that’s more dedication than the average person can muster.)

Yes. I was knocked off track for many years for basically the same reasons you mention. A few thoughts:

Habits take time to form. You will probably need to experiment to find what works for you, but you will need sheer willpower to keep experimenting until you find the right time of day, the right motivator, etc., and then let that become habit.

I don't think your reluctance to use the gym at work is unusual. Even if there were no changing of clothing required, I have no desire to workout with my coworkers. I'm not that social and don't want to see and chat with people I work with all day. I want to listen to music and surreptitiously check out hot guys.

For years I was a "first thing in the morning" guy. If I didn't get up, grab a cup of coffee and get out the door, it just wasn't going to happen. The excuses build up as the work day wore me down. I have several friends who enjoy going to the gym in the evening and couldn't imagine getting out of bed early to go work out. You'll need to figure out what works best for you.

Make sure the gym you choose is conveniently located to either your work or home depending upon when you think you'll be going. Convenience is paramount for most people. It can be the coolest gym in world with the hottest guys around, but if it takes you 30 extra minutes to get there, you are setting yourself up for excuses and failure.

Find tricks that can become patterns that get you out the door. This may seem trivial to most people, but something that works really well for me, is simply getting into my gym clothes. If I get into those clothes...I always go. So on the days where I am wavering all I really need to do is find the willpower to change into those gym clothes. It's a small thing but it really works for me.

Finally. Unless you are extremely athletic, you can't exercise yourself out of a poor diet. I have found that going to the gym is very motivating in keeping my diet healthy, but it's the diet doing all the real work, not the exercise. After a good morning of cardio, I am less inclined to ruin it by eating garbage, but it's very easy to eat away the benefits. I do the calorie math all the time with my food choices. How many minutes of rowing is it going to take me to burn away that donut? It works wonders for me.

Good luck. Getting started is the hardest part!

Apparently they object to "BFE." The only change they made to my profile was changing "looking for a good BFE" to "looking for a good experience."

They really did butcher your ad though. Fortunately, your reputation speaks for itself and ain't nobody going to confuse you with a rube. I pity the poor guys just trying to establish their reputation.

I think there's a fundamental difference in the dynamics of male/male and male/female relationships and attitudes about casual (compensated or not) sex.

Times are changing -- slowly -- but this is still a very patriarchal society and female "virtue" has a value to straight men that does not have a corollary in the gay male world. There is also a sizable difference in the stigma placed on female sex workers that requires additional compensation.

Finally, and probably most importantly, is that gay men can more easily access alternate hookups. They may not be the insanely hot young men we have hired, but there are plenty of acceptable peers if you just lower your expectations. It has always been easier for gay men to get sex. I know that things are loosening up in the straight world, but I don't think they are anywhere close to the traditional and current state of our hook ups. Gay men know this, so the cost/benefit is unlikely to ever be the same. At least not in my lifetime.

I appreciate the escort's point of view. But, as a client, if my regulars raise their rates to 500 an hour, I would rather find an NYU or Columbia boytoy on seeking arrangements who would be happy with 3K monthly for frequent meetings.

I'm banking on that (literally). This will be THE most I've ever spent for a single provider. But there is just something (many things actually) about him and the way in which he responded and conversed with me both on the phone and later by text on WhatsApp. He's articulate, very polite and engaging as well as accommodating. I get absolutely no attitude and only a sense that he's really looking forward to our time together. I've done this enough to know the difference between someone who enjoys what they do and another who is sketchy, distant and preoccupied, etc. Trusting my gut instincts on this one and confident that I'm in for a special evening. No matter how it turns out, I'll post a review and also answer questions in the Forum or via PM as requests come my way.

I have a young friend who is extremely fit and EXTREMELY disciplined about his diet. (With a beautiful lean body that is a testament to his hard work.) He spends a fortune on organic food and cringes every time he sees me use that butter spray or artificial sweetener.

I keep telling him that I can't boil the ocean. I can manage the calories and do a decent job on sodium, but I can't take on the war against chemical substitutes on top of that. In the end, something is going to kill me and I'll take my chances with the chemicals over weight-related illness.
