SA, I know you mean well, but you are making assumptions that probably don't hold up for many of the guys who work in "spas."  First, that they have a space to host clients in NYC, much less in Manhattan.  Second, running an online ad requires a credit card or bank account to pay the fee.  It's not likely that many of these guys have such a thing.  Finally, as has been discussed here many times, some guys may need to stay "under the radar" for immigration reasons, or worse, are beholden to a "handler" of some kind who holds their passport and calls the shots.
Going freelance would be a big step for someone who perhaps is not fluent in English, or confident in being able to negotiate terms with a client.  The spas have the space and a more-or-less reliable flow of customers.  Yes, the money sucks for them, but it realistically may be the only viable option for many who work in them.

I agree with this 10000%. They are having him churn out massages so it’s basically him just trying to get through the day. He looked/seemed pretty tired when I saw him. It’s pretty a demanding job. The time when I called in the morning to book with him, they mentioned “he’s booked until 9PM”. So I do feel a big part is him being overbooked. The energy was definitely more of a burnt out vibe. 

Had a session with Rafa yesterday at Shangrila. The message was ok but he’s extremely handsome and nice attitude. He knows how to please.  To repeat. 

Also, the expectations for a "world of everything" might now be attached to him given all the high praise. I highly doubt someone can provide it over 5 times per day. Many of the other masseurs don't have the same standards.

“Glass closeted” - meaning the gent is known to be gay or like men, but it’s not discussed. Different from “closeted” where the gent is not known or often even suspected of being gay or liking men. 

I have some older friends who are quite worldly, educated and artistic. The turn of a phrase for them must be captured with the greatest degree of effect, so yes...the choice of language affects the mood of the response.
As far as Arab providers, I agree ..the US is rather spartan in available providers. They may find closeted oil-sheiks to be a more profitable community, than some of these cheap-ass Americans who post here, quibbling over a $ 100. premium.

I used to be fluent in German but I have so few opportunities to use it, I struggle with anything more than basic conversation.
Also I've noticed, the more languages you rack up, the more I start confusing which phrase is from which language. (Italian, Portuguese, Catalan and Spanish have so many similarities that I have a bad habit of mixing them together).

“Masseur” and “Masseuse” in English both translate to “Massagista” in Portuguese. Very easy mistake to make

Can confirm that all the good reports above are well supported by my experience with him.  English is limited but his enthusiasm, abilities. and willingness in bed are not.  (Note that my tastes are pretty vanilla.)  Champion kisser.  Body is even better than the pics.  Very nice guy, very interested in making sure you have a good time.  Will host in the Bronx but he's well up there, so out is probably the best option for most.

I just went to g man spa on w 18st because my regular guy Peter at renew york spa was not available . Anyway I needed it and I’ve never been here before so I was curious plus I like Andy from W (I believe he is one of the owners). Upon entry Kai who is a young and good looking Asian assisted me. He seemed to be the only one available when I got there just before 12. The place is nice and in a good location  . The massage with Kai was generic at best. The beginning of the massage was promising because he started with my legs which I love but it then progressed into a somewhat impro deep massage with no oil or lotion which was hurting my skin but still bearable and didn’t go on for too long . The oil/lotion came at some point and the unimpressive stroking continued . He had to use the adjacent bathroom hot water faucet to wipe off the oil and still the towels were cold. Anything but relaxing. Luckily at the beginning I told him he could do 60min or 90 and he chose 60. I left an almost 200% tip (also because he didn’t have change) and I do usually tip very well in the hope that they might remember me next time and be more inspired to please. There was some attempt at sensual once I turned over but even that was totally mechanical and uninspiring. I left feeling like I didn’t get a massage and I just wasted money and time . I might give it another try … I still wish massage places in New York had older more experienced masseurs in general .

I am always very generous when happy. There is no sensual part really it’s just technical and very deep . About the sensual part.. : I am might not be his type, he might be straight or he is impotent . Either way I’ll keep going back to him because of his massage skills and mature manly looks.

IMO, this provider’s skill is at best suited to stocking shelves at a corner convenience store at $7/hour rather than the $200/hr charged for a rub-and-tug session in which he shorts the client on time. Non sequitor: FYI apparently he works out at Equinox. [end]
