I am equally dumbfounded at that statement, as I have twice said very clearly: I HAVE ALWAYS IGNORED THE MAN. So why would I know what he said about gays ? I never took any interest in ANYTHING he said For whatever reason, he never registered as important to my world. I keep hearing about all these horrible comments about gays but no one seems to have shared one. Where are they / what are they ? So far he said they wear rings and they were somehow responsible for 9/11. I would be interested to understand the actual words and the context of the statement. These bible-bashers are often full of shit. Nothing new there. The Southern Baptists ( which I assume he is associated with) are always Holier-than-thou. What makes him special ?

Facebook has had a recent flood of fake friend requests. All of my ( actual ) Facebook friends have been discussing it. A few people got friend requests from people who've been dead for some time. That was unnerving.

I do find the childish attempt at extreme masculinity to be entertaining and some of them can be sexy. Harlem used to be sexually charged in the summer, with the guys walking around with their shirts off, puffing up their egos and showing off their swagger like an exotic bird trying to impress a potential mate.

Same problem in NYC at the South Street Seaport. NO tower should really be built on landfill. But this is continuously done and everyone just keeps crossing their fingers and then acting surprised when things go bad.

Wow. You can actually smell the bile bubbling up in this thread. I have been aware of the guy for most of my life, but his existence has always been mostly meaningless to me. We all know that Christian Conservatives like to "bible-thump" to make themselves appear more holy. Anti-gay rhetoric is only one of the usual narratives that get spun from their pulpit. I just switch it off and go about my business. WHY, I ponder are so many of you so triggered by this person ? He doesn't seem any different from the millions of other bible-belt-Baptists. Was there something he actually DID that went beyond the usual religious conservative viewpoints of his faith ?
