  1. My apologies. I meant to type, "not JUST ask for advice on a conversation thread". Yes, it's always reasonable to ask for opinions, but in this case this could be the sign of a medical condition. So professional advice is important here.
  2. MY you DO get around town !
  3. Unfortunately I chose a "second bank" that collapsed just at the same time the main bank is struggling to keep everyone from jumping ship. I stopped by the branch office today. It was like that scene from Titanic when everyone was panicking while the band still played. They were doing their best to put a good face on it. Some very elegant mature woman greeted me at the door. I think she was senior management. You could see the panic in their eyes and hear it in the crack of their voices as they assured me everything was just fine. "Only a bump in the road", they claim.
  4. Sadly, I had money at Signature Bank too. ( although not a huge amount ). So annoying that I have to be dodging bullets like this. First Republic and Signature were the last of the "gentleman's banks" for upper middle class business people who wanted a personal relationship with a live person, a comfortable chair to sit while attended to and the last shred of dignity, where for a few hundred thousand, you felt important. Now you need to be a billionaire to get any service or respect from any bank.
  5. HIS watches are far more expensive than $ 20K. I don't think he has any interest in competing with Macy's ..so no. He clearly doesn't care about the rest of the market place.
  6. II bought them for my parents who don't live "alone"... they live together, but my 83 year old father has a habit of falling over and my mother tries to catch him. I worry that they are both going to knock each other down and break something and not be able to get up. My mother still does the shopping so my father is sometimes alone for a couple hours. They don't need to think about it with the watch on their wrists and it also alerts them when they have a message etc. Reasonable user-friendly for older people who may not be tech-savvy.
  7. I suppose its possible to be borderline illiterate and still provide a good happy ending.
  8. Stock photos. Unlikely to be the same guy you're going to meet. There is this attitude with East Asian guys that Americans think they all look alike. I've seen many of these types of accounts with multiple photos of multiple people as if you wouldn't notice.
  9. Thank you for sharing your experience. I found this same culture in Turkey. Particularly Istanbul, where many of the handsome young men take a male "lover" until he marries. Homosexual activity is on the up-tick with these "situational homosexuals" because now the girls want to get a college degree before they marry. There are many bath-houses in Istanbul, that have a reputation for being virtual brothels, with a primarily immigrant ( mostly Syrian and Kurdish ) masseurs who service unmarried men. Homosexual is a term reserved for men who never marry. Even if you continue to get your dick sucked by young refugees, in marriage, you're still not considered a "homoesexual". Bisexuality is quite common, yet the word doesn't seem to exist in their vocabulary. It's a one-eye-open/ one-eye-closed part of their culture.
  10. He's quite an interesting character. Always enjoy his wit and humor. Deals with many of the richest people in the world.
  11. In your house ? I keep my phone in my back pocket when out-n-about, but when I'm home that would be uncomfortable while sitting on a chair or sofa, so it's most often on a table somewhere beside me. On a daily basis, I get up to do something and leave it there, sometime for hours until I get a call and I hear the faint ringing from another part of the house. Apple makes a smart "watch" with an emergency feature. I think for an elderly home-alone this product is the most practical, as you don't have to carry it around, or wear it around your neck (in a somewhat ridiculous manner) like the First Alert alarm.
  12. His Twitter account has some hot teasers for his ONLYFANS The boy seems to know what he's doing whether topping or subbing
  13. Ha . Maybe ! But that information was more my mistake. I started with First Republic around that time..and I didn't know it had changed hands shortly after. So it was ME asking how much risk there was, ASSUMING it was atill affiliated with Bank of America. His advice either way was to get out before the problems expands.
  14. I couldn't care less. I am perfectly happy with a muscular trans-man with NO dick. But then.. I haven't bottomed for years. I DO remember that when I was younger and taking it up the ass, I still never cared much about dick size except when they'd whip out a monster cock. I was more likely to RECONSIDER spreading my legs than to be more excited about it !!
  15. My guess is any encounter with this young man will be expensive but not long.
  16. My accountant advised me to get out even though First Republic is now owned by "too big to fail" Bank of America. I watched this show before in past bank failures where everyone thinks it's an isolated incident and then suddenly they start falling like dominoes setting off another recession. I moved my cash to AMEX who has a high yield savings program with (supposedly) full access to your funds with no penalty for withdrawal
  17. I was happy with them for years until the pandemic. I called my private banker who told me they were only helping their landlord accounts who held over $50M in assets. (So basically told me to go fuck myself.) I refinanced my commerical loans but unfortunately kept quite a bit of cash in my personal accounts until this past week. I've been planning to move it to a high yield AMEX for a while and just got lazy about it. I hope my laziness doesn't bite me in the ass.
  18. One of my clients is a high-end jeweler . He would explain that $5,000 is NOT a "fancy" watch. The heritage pieces that retain value ( or increase in value ) are priced at more than $20K Many people will go out and buy a Rolex when they want to invest in a fancy watch. While my client-jeweler refers to them as white-trash-bracelets.
  19. I don't live alone myself. But I do a daily check of my (favorite) elderly neighbors. I did help save one who fell on the stairs while headed to bed one night and I missed seeing her the next day. She didn't pick up the phone when I called so I contaced the fire department who broke into the house and found her alive but in bad shape, with broken ribs and badly dehydrated. This is a custom I brought from my childhood where my mother would always check in on all the elderly widows in our neighborhood to see if they needed anything while she was out running errands. I do miss the days when people were more community minded. I did lose one friend who had become a bit of a recluse in his late 50s. Like @Guy Fawkeshe lived alone and didn't keep up with many friends or family. Sadly he was discovered by a neighbor who saw him slumped over in a chair (writing at his desk as he always was) in the evening and again the following morning. She realized it was too many hours to be sleeping like that. I was supposed to be having breakfast with him that morning but he never showed up. Very sad. We are only blessed that these people leave the fruits of their work behind and in that way we gladly memorialize their passing and thank them for giving us these gifts to enjoy. Rest in Peace
  20. That's the problem. Larger amounts are delayed because that's their concern. Losing their bigger customers. At least I had the common sense to limit my exposure. First Republic is a boutique bank that caters to an upper crust clientele that apparently aren't very savvy and multiple customers are apparently exposed because their deposits exceed the FDIC limit of $250K
  21. I tried to move my money ($200k) from First Republic and they told me I have to wait two weeks for the transfer to be "authorized". So much for it being "MY" money.
  22. Those Ukrainian and Polish boys DO seem to beef up nicely. Good for him. I hope his O.F. goes well for him. Unfortunately I'm not one for wanking-off-to porn so I won't be able to support that venture for him .
  23. The politics forum was probably as heated as any political discussions are these days. There is much disagreement over social issues in the US..and these social issues are being used by political activists. People are passionate about issues that affect their life, and to a degree sometimes their passion selfishly undermines the personal priorities and passions of the other-side-of-the-aisle ...so they look to bully people into believing their side is "right" and the other side is "wrong". More than "drama", I think bullying is what most people experienced when people can't find that their personal opinions are shared by everyone in the group. The drama ensues once their discomfort turns to name calling. I miss hearing the different perspectives on fhe current tectonic shifts in American society but I certainly don't miss the childish name calling that I experienced here. I am told some of the members who were banned here have gathered their toys and moved over to Gayguides.com. Now gleefully trashing THIS forum on THAT forum because they couldn't get everyone to agree with their opinions.
  24. There is a Thai Wellness Center in midtown that rents rooms to practitioners. nycthaiwellness.com
  25. Yet freedom of speech seems to allow people to falsely accuse others of fraud, slander and criminal activity. Accusation has become a weapon in Social Media group-think truth bending.
