I don’t think I’ve ever declined to hire after hearing a provider’s voice, but I have declined when a provider in turn declined a phone call, insisting it could all be arranged via text. Perhaps he was correct, but voices are important - at least to me. They (voices) are not the end all and be all of an encounter, but they most definitely can be an enhancement. I’ve seen a few providers with similar short vids introducing themselves, and I agree it is an effective marketing tool. As has been said, it could very well be an inducement to engage rather than continue to scroll. Providers, why don’t you lads record similar introductory vids with voice? I have to disagree. In this hobby, both providers need to leave their jealousies at the door. If they can’t, they shouldn’t be offering 3somes, period. There are some provider couples that are absolutely fantastic at the 3some experience, while there are others where one of the couple can’t seem to separate the personal from the professional. Chances are the client will for all sorts of reasons prefer and concentrate more on one of you over the other, same way a professional provider will always concentrate more on the client vs his partner. If you can’t handle either scenario without pouting with a scowl, you shouldn’t be offering 3somes because you clearly can’t handle them. It’s not my job, or any other client’s job, to soothe wounded egos, make sure both providers feel equally sexy.

This was a very interesting read! Lots of turns in the conversation, and theories I didn’t see coming, or ever considered. I think my view is far more simple. I think most guys realise at puberty which way their ship is going to sail - Hetero or Homo. But there are still going to those guys on the SS Hetero who remain curious about life on the SS Homo. Some will board the SS Homo, and realise it’s not for them, others will abandon the SS Hetero all together, and then a few others will be happy signing up for tours on both ships in turn. I’ve had encounters, relations, experimentations with a number of my friends during those HS and uni years. Some wound up gay, others wound up married family men. We’re all still close, and I see them regularly. Our past doesn’t matter - sometimes it’s joked about or referenced, but mostly not. I do think at some point tho - gay or straight - you have to stop calling it “curiosity” or “extermination” and just own up about what you like. Sometimes it can be a learning process in terms of accepting oneself. I knew a guy years ago, bartended at one of the well known gay bars/clubs since closed. He was, as to be expected, beautiful - muscled, killer smile, great ass, great package, you get the drift. Anyway, as I got to know him, he shared how at that time he was newish to m2m sex, how he was dating a pre-op trans woman because he felt as much as he loved dick, he still needed the tits. I didn’t get it, but it worked for him, so what does my not getting it matter, right? That first lover was his first step in accepting himself - he did wind up going from a preop transwoman, to a very femme boy, to a twunky guy, to a jock, to finally his partner now who I would describe as a muscle bear/ex college jock with a few pounds type of guy. I’m sure at some point, maybe even many points he questioned who he was, what he was attracted to, etc. - but I think we as friends just need to accept however someone identifies, and be aware that such an identity can be subject to change too. As far as this hobby goes, I don’t hire straight gents, and I rarely hire bi guys. It’s my own little version of “shop local” - keeping the business with the actual gay lads. While I’m not naive enough to delude myself into thinking a provider is actually attracted to me, that is part of his role, and IMO, a gay guy can be far more convincing. That’s a big part of what we’re all paying for - the fantasy, right? Anyway, just my tuppence. BBD

I would think just the opposite with the latter, and I’d be open about the form. A provider with only 3 reviews after 5 years *could* be indicative of something - but it wouldn’t be an automatic red flag. It would depend on the review text, when they were added, who the reviewers were (ie; longtime RM members, multiple reviews, also forum members, or just profile created to leave a review). I have had providers tell me they do not want RM reviews and/or Daddy’s Reviews - they’re happy with word of mouth recommendations either on here or between hobbyists in real life. So, I wouldn’t discount a provider just because he may only have 3 reviews after 5 years. To me, a new provider of only 6 months standing with 25 reviews would, for me, be a red flag. But as above, it would depend on the review text, the reviewer, etc.. If the 25 reviews all turn out legit with clients singing their praises, great! But as discussed many times in these forums, it often winds up not being the case. BBD

Damn! Happy ending indeed! 😜 Part of me is curious WTF happened with BHB - as in, was there some sort of emergency or is this indicative of perhaps some new behaviour/habit? Good on you for having your Plan B 👍🏻 I have found it easier to have a Plan B when I’m home based or when traveling, and I’m based in X city for more than a week. If I’m only in X city for 2-3 days, it’s usually full days with work, so researching a Plan B isn’t really a realistic option. I just keep my fingers crossed, hoping my legs will be opened wide later by the provider de jour! 😜😂 May I ask who was your Plan B? Recommend? Limits or anything? When he was recommended to me, and I looked him up, I needed my smelling salts just from that first pic! 😂 All I can offer is that the fellow hobbyist who recommended “Joe” could not say enough good things about him, his attributes, his prowess, their encounters, and about “Joe” just being a very nice, genuine, respectful, and professional gent. For my part, in my trips to LÁ the past 8 or so months, I have tried to arrange a get together but our schedules just refuse to sync. He’s been very professional in all communication, and has joked about our shared frustration over our schedules, and not yet being able to sort a meeting. To echo @keroscenefire, I don’t necessarily think it’s the number of gents that matter. Danger can come as a single or a double. Just do your homework, and trust your gut. Post here asking for the 411 on a particular provider and/or search the forums for any previous postings/threads on him. Get a VPN and read his RM reviews. Check the reviewers - how long they’ve been on RM, how many reviews - and if you have a question, reach out to them. For me, in this hobby (and IRL), I have engaged in 3somes (and 4somes, and an occasional “moresome”) but they have only happened with providers I have had a “regular” relationship with. Sometimes it’s been with other providers (once a BF, others just mates), sometimes it’s been guys we’ve picked up together when out, twice it was provider being invited to a sex party, and I was his plus one. In each scenario I always had my “regular” with me so I felt safe. I am sure I wouldn’t have the same sense of safety if there wasn’t an established connection, rapport, comfort, etc. with at least 1 of the providers involved. Beyond safety concerns, be mindful of jealousy. Even if they’re advertising as working together, it’s not always 100% that both are on board with this type of arrangement. There was one couple who were both providers, and one was raved about, while the other really couldn’t hide his jealousy in encounters. Oddly the jealous one was raved about in one on one encounters - just for whatever reason he couldn’t hide his jealousy in 3somes (or even when the BF was in a one on one). Strange. I believe they’ve since broken up, which is probably a good thing for both. @GTMike your Marine sounds like a snack and a half! Woof! Did it progress past that initial dalliance? Cheers, BBD

Agreed! This one frustrates me! Lol He ticks all the boxes - looks wise, size wise, body wise, etc. - yet there’s all the negative feedback on him. To confound matters, for all the “kookoo for coco puffs” feedback, there are several well established, trusted forum members who say just the opposite 🤷🏼‍♂️ Like I said, this one frustrates me. BBD

I don’t know - yes, he was a bit curt in his reply, but I have to wonder if messaging at 1AM in the morning contributed to how he responded 🤷🏼‍♂️ Regarding one word replies- most of these gents get absolutely inundated with messages/texts, so one word, short replies that can come across as lacking interest, are just the result of the need to be efficient. One semi regular I engage showed me the number of texts he gets in a day - it’s insane. So try not to be excessively judgey. Anyway, this and more happens with this hobby. Don’t overthink and don’t be sensitive about any of it. Either continue to engage with the provider, or move on. Good luck! BBD

I am surprised at his conduct. He was recommended to me by another hobbyist, and the contact, set up, meeting, and activities all went smoothly, professionally. His behaviour here is very atypical - at least to me, based on my experiences with this provider. I do understand that “life happens” for both providers and hobbyists - emergencies do come up - I just wish when it happens they’d communicate that information as soon as they can. Good morning gents! I hope all have been, and are well! While I’ve been reading, referencing on here, I haven’t been posting - work has really kicked into high gear over the last 6+ months, so I’ve been traveling quite a bit. I have, as time allowed, engaged in this hobby while on the road, and have had a few surprise encounters along the way too. Perhaps if I have time, I’ll add a story or two to the “Luck With Hotel Staff” thread. Anyway, I’m going to be in Toronto next month, and I’m devastated to find that it looks like Trevor AKA “Top_Rated_Canada” no longer has an ad ☹️ Any chance it’s just a name change - or even a move out of Toronto? If he is in fact retired from this hobby,😩, any recommendations on similar sorts in Toronto? No age, ethnicity hang ups - tho do prefer the tops and/or top inclined gents with some muscle, and body hair is a plus. As for LA - I’m heading back again, and it’s been a struggle to connect with providers - at least for me. I reach out when I’m there, they’re booked; I reach out prior, they ask to get in touch when I’m in town. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Any recommendations on the top and/or top inclined gents with some muscle - body hair a plus - in LA? I think some do it to match their “brand” across all platforms, others to re-brand themselves - whatever the reason, it can be frustrating looking for X only to find he’s now Z!

I got a text alert from Duane Reade that omicron booster was available at 5PM Wednesday, and had an appointment for 5:50PM. I didn’t even think about the monkeypox vax (I’m between doses too) but the questionnaire didn’t mention it either. I’m going with it was fine, it will be fine 🤞🏻

Same here ☹️ I received the first dose 7/31, and at the time was told I’d receive an e-mail with my second dose appointment 4 weeks from then. Maybe the next batch of appointments will be open to include my first dose date 🤞🏻
