Murder Novarro was murdered on October 30, 1968, by brothers Paul and Tom Ferguson, aged 22 and 17, who called him and offered their sexual services. He had in the past hired prostitutes from an agency to come to his Laurel Canyon home for sex, and the Fergusons obtained Novarro's telephone number from a previous guest.[17][18][19] According to the prosecution in the murder case, the two young men believed that a large sum of money was hidden in Novarro's house. The prosecution accused the brothers of torturing Novarro for several hours to force him to reveal where the non-existent money was hidden. They left the house with $20 they took from his bathrobe pocket. Novarro died as a result of asphyxiation, having choked to death on his own blood after being beaten.[20] The two perpetrators were caught and sentenced to long prison terms, but released on parole in the mid-1970s. Both were later re-arrested for unrelated crimes for which they served longer prison terms than for the murder of Novarro.[21] In a 1998 interview, Paul Ferguson finally assumed the blame for Novarro's death.[22] Tom Ferguson committed suicide on March 6, 2005. When Paul Ferguson died in 2018, he was serving a 60-year sentence for rape in Missouri.[23][24] Novarro is buried in Calvary Cemetery, East Los Angeles, California.[25] Novarro's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is at 6350 Hollywood Boulevard.

True, exempt only from state and local. However, the federal tax rate can be 37%, depending on ones income. While many states have no tax or have low rates of tax. -

Not to be difficult, but you initially wrote: 6 hours ago, jeezifonly said: "You want tax breaks? Buy bonds." _________________________________________________ Your response does not say anything about "tax breaks" as you wrote. Again, U.S. savings bonds interest is fully taxable. There is no tax savings. There is, however, a good feeling from investing in our country (buying bonds) for security of the funds. -

"I was a little shocked to find out I was going to get charged a 6.5% fee for making the donation!" Even though your entire charitable contribution is not transferred by UCLA to the specific scholarship fund you chose, you are still allowed to deduct the full amount of your contribution for tax purposes. How and what UCLA does with your money is not addressed in the Internal Revenue Code with respect to the university withholding a fee for their "handling" of the receipt of funds. Thus, you did not "get charged" a fee unless UCLA asked for additional money on top of what you proposed to contribute. I believe you stated that no additional money was requested. You think 6.5% is high, try giving a contribution to a major Jesuit University in D.C. - there you will see some "heavy duty" services charges removed from charitable amounts contributed. That will give you a "big" shock rather than a little shock. -

How does one get a "tax break" by buying bonds? The interest from federal bonds is taxable. Perhaps you mean State and municipal bonds? -

https://foursquare.com/v/spotlight-lounge-las-vegas/4b538b85f964a52072a127e3 This bar was originally located in Hollywood, California. The facility on Cahuenga had to close because the area went through a major upgrade in quality of stores and places. The bar had to move because of increased rents. It was decided to close and move to Las Vegas. One long-term bartender went to work at the new facility. He is mentioned in one of the reviews at the above link (Benji). I have not been to that place in a couple of years. When the bar was in Hollywood, it was one of the few "hustler" bars still in existence at that time. I cannot vouch for whether it is still a good bar. The reviews are informative.

You are correct. That is a weakness of the rentmen site. Writing a truthful and bad review should not be prevented merely because the rentmen site is programmed to require a review coming from an open advertisement. Blocking a client is bad faith on the part of both the provider and rentmen for allowing such an unfair process that prevents a client from reporting a bad encounter. The solution might be to not so say anything to the provider that would tip him off that you plan to write a negative review.

I agree, good for them. Many providers see so many clients in a day that they cannot get hard or they use drugs and have issues performing after arriving to see a client. Even while texting or talking with providers, to make an appointment, most seem okay. It is after they arrive on drugs or have seen a few clients that same day, makes spending money on them such a waste. Worse, is that some advertising clients use fake photos of other good looking guys. When those photo thief fakes arrive, they expect the high hourly rate quoted even though the photos are not of who will show up for the client. Yes, "luck of the draw" so to speak. This site is helpful if a provider happens to be discussed. The problem is that only a small percentage of available providers end up being discussed here. Caveat emptor

So true. You pay for what if you end up with a dud?

If you initially contact the provider through rentmen IM or rentmen e-mail, there is a record that you communicated. If you use private text, obviously, rentmen will not know that. However, the initial IM and rentmen e-mail is sufficient proof for rentmen to accept your review and post it if you state that you met. If you have any issue about getting your review posted and if you have the rentmen IM or rentmen e-mail, contact rentmen on-line and they will correct the mistake. I have done that several times without any issue (good and bad reviews) were posted when initially delayed.

You reported a very difficult time since your January incident. Fortunately, you have done well since then with various therapies. I want to recommend a video for you to watch that was produced by a physician who, himself, was nearly killed in a bizarre accident. The video is about "palliative care" which many people think is only for end-of-life patients. However, palliative care is also for patients who are working through major health issues such as you reported. If you watch the video, you will see that the physician speaker is permanently disabled because of his bizarre accident. He was not expected to live following his accident. Through many surgeries and palliative care, he recovered enough to finish college and go to medical school. He is on the faculty of a major medical school teaching palliative care skills that he helped develop. Anyone watching the video will learn that palliative care is for those who do not have a long life expectancy but also for those who have a normal life expectancy - but need health/physical therapy. I found the video extremely interesting and philosophical. The video is about twenty minutes in duration. Here is a link to the video that I hope will be helpful to you during your recuperation:

Speaking of his ad, he has included in his advertisement for many years the comment about who he supposed looks like: "Google Brodie Sinclair Pornstar "My name is Brodie Sinclair I'm a very well known Pornstar everyone says I look like the Actor Mark Wahlberg." He said "everyone" says he looks like Mark Wahlberg" I am someone but I do not think he looks like Mark Wahlberg. Maybe he is fascinated with Wahlberg???? https://rent.men/SurfsideSecrets Google Brodie Sinclair Pornstar

Giving a deposit does not give him safety. On a related note, he has an extensive instagram account. If you also have an instagram account, you will be able to open the below link and find his name and numerous other photos of him, including the photos in his ad. Here is a link to his account: EDIT: I should have been more clear and written - Here is a link to his FAKE name account he has on instagram. The name on that account is not his real name but the photos are accurate. The link was deleted by a moderator.

More data, No question, the ad is a fake. I just found another video he made in 2014 where he speaks in a heavy English accent. https://www.facebook.com/joshuaarmstrong1989/videos/1490689621191321/ The real person in the photos is quite active in England. Using the links, you can find many of his photos and videos. The person who placed the bogus ad and "borrowed" the photos for the ad is not too bright or not knowledgeable about photo tracing. It is good to have this site so we can weed out the fraudsters.
-
I found more than twenty photos of him, some of which are the same photos as found in the ad. https://www.instagram.com/joshuaarmstrong_uk/?hl=tr The problem with the photos is that they come from an instagram page where it says the person in the photos is from the U.K. As most of us know, England has been closed to most tourist travel since March of last year. There is an additional link at the above provided link that takes you to some videos made by the person in the photos. The videos can be viewed for a fee. Again, payment to view the videos are to a U.K. company. I think it is highly unlikely the photos in the ad are of the person placing the ad.

You are very sad. The fact that I think sex workers who insist on an advance deposit have a lot of nerve does not mean that I know anything else about the escort. You might look up the word - conjecture - which is a trait you have for composing the majority of your posts. How does one logically "connect the dots" from an unusual demand for a deposit, to knowing about sex workers in general?
-
"It’s your attitude towards sex workers who choose to require a deposit that is an issue for me." You do not know anything about me nor of my attitude toward sex workers. The above quote from your last series of posts speaks volumes about you. It is clear from your series of posts that you have a lot of issues and problems that cannot be solved in this forum. I wish you the best of luck.
-
You are more misguided than I thought. Where did I say I held "a special standard that you hold only for sex workers and not for any other categories of professionals out there." That is quite some leap out of reality you possess. As is documented repeatedly in this forum, countless clients who paid an advance deposit, lived to regret the deposit or were cheated out of the deposit money. Refusing to make future advance deposits has nothing to do with a sex worker. If a reasonable person called a plumber or an electrician for repairs and either of those contractors asked for an advance deposit, then skipped out and kept the money, the attitude over advance deposits would be the same regardless of the occupation.
-
Sadly misguided! Experienced clients know that providers asking for an advance deposit are in the minority. As I previously wrote, this forum is filled with posts from experienced clients who have been ripped off by dishonest providers asking for a deposit only to disappear after the deposit is cashed. Providers insisting on an advance deposit have a lot of: chutz·pah /ˈho͝otspə,ˈKHo͝otspə/ Learn to pronounce noun INFORMAL extreme self-confidence or audacity.
-
With any due respect, this post shows an incredible amount of undue entitlement. "So you refused to show these guys the respect of complying with their requested deposit" This forum contains numerous threads and posts that confirm countless incidents of clients being scammed by not previously known providers when a deposit is involved. In your opinion, clients who either have been scammed already or have read of others being scammed should ignore prior history and "show these guys the respect - - - -" and pay a deposit! Clients learn a lot from this forum. One thing learned is to not make advance deposits to not previously known providers.
-
I agree with you about not giving an advance deposit to an unknown provider. However, when you say "Any honest and reliable business person knows payment is due upon services rendered." let me remind you of your last airplane trip. Did you pay AFTER the flight service was rendered? Each situation is different. It all depends on facts and circumstances. Too many providers are flakey and cannot be trusted with an advance payment. Not all, but most.
