  1. sfbluecollar could be a hard-to-please client. He could have unrealistic expectations when hiring. The fact remains, the ad is still there - available to snag more unsuspecting rentmen users or members. Rentman said the advertiser presented documentation to confirm his ad. I wonder what kind of "documentation" was faked to convince rentmen to leave up the ad! If ever the term "caveat emptor" (buyer beware) meant anything, it certainly applies to this bogus ad.
  2. Can you believe, the faker conned another client today despite my negative review warning of his not being the person in the photos? There is now a second review in the fake ad. Only one star and all negative remarks, like my review. Rentmen leaves the ad up despite knowing the ad is fake. Here is the link again: https://rentmen.eu/Theodoresixnine Come on rentmen, take down that fake ad. -
  3. It has been six days since I advised rentmen that the guy with the ad and the photos are fake. Rentmen was also provided with the film link, provided by @Rodrigo Suarez . The bogus ad is still there as is my lone review. So, the fraudster is quite quick and well, who by rights should be in hell. Or, at least his fake ad should be gone. How many more unsuspecting clients will the fraudster real in with his ad?
  4. Unfortunately, "common sense" is not common. - Voltaire
  5. The below news link and video says it all - be careful https://www.fox5atlanta.com/video/929638 and https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2021/05/07/atlanta-georgia-lgbt-armed-robbers-grindr-police/
  6. Job well done. Thank you
  7. Then he changed his hourly rate to $1,000. "here’s hoping he comes back" with a reasonable rate.
  8. You have done and are continuing to do everyone here a big favor. You do not owe anyone an apology. You saved the site from certain extinction. Without your efforts and kindness, the forum would be only a memory, like so many other things in life. Thanks again.
  9. Does it make you feel good to attack someone on an anonymous internet site with your nonsense? Your denigration of a rule from the Internal Revenue Service speaks volumes about you and for your lack of knowledge and civility. I provided citations to you of the writings of two knowledgeable business journalists and a link to the Internal Revenue Service where it confirms that you are wrong. Despite confirmation that you are wrong, you throw out foolish insults and refuse to accept reality.
  10. You are funny. Since you do not like the journalist's interpretations of the cryptocurrency law, below is a link to the Internal Revenue Service and their interpretation of the law. https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/virtual-currencies
  11. You are braver than I and probably most other people on this forum. I would never intentionally file a false or incomplete income tax return. A question on the 2020 federal income tax return form specifically asks: “At any time during 2020, did you receive, sell, send, exchange, or otherwise acquire any financial interest in any virtual currency?” To ignore the question or answer the question falsely could lead to a lot of IRS problems. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/24/failure-to-report-crypto-on-tax-returns-can-lead-to-trouble-with-irs.html
  12. Your buddy is lucky his schedule did not match with the fake that posted that ad along with stolen photos. The fake person is in California. If you have a VPN (or use this link - https://hide.me/en/proxy ), you can read the narrative report I wrote on him after I met with him. Go to the fake ad. Then click on reviews. There is only one review which is from me. Copy the review link then paste that link in the space provided in the "hide.me" link shown by me above. Meeting with that fake was one of the strangest meetings I ever had. Despite his bizarre behavior, he seemed to have a congenial personality.
  13. - You are so gifted. Thank you very much. Do you mind sharing which image search machine you use to find so many hard-to-find photos? As I previously wrote, I saw the photos some time ago on a different site. Now I can confirm my recollection is right. I assume you used your VPN to read my review on rentmen. I must say, that was one strange meeting.
  14. Question: To preserve my anonymity, each year I always sent a money order or cash to Bill without my name. In order to be a member of "The Cabana" must one disclose who sends money? Thanks in advance for a response.
  15. No social media. I met him and instantly knew it was not the person in the photos. He is not bad-looking but he clearly was not the person in the photos. He is older than the age stated in the ad. If you have VPN services, you can read my full report about what bizarre things occurred at the meeting. The photos he used were photos that I recall seeing several years ago on some other site but image searching does not locate the photos.
  16. There is a guy advertising on rentmen in Los Angeles using photos of a different person. https://rentmen.eu/Theodoresixnine
  17. Thank you for your kind response. I am just looking out for the future of the forum.
  18. Respectfully, your suggestion for a $1.00 value for the websites is insufficient considering the goodwill created over the years the websites have been in existence. By way of example, just since the death of the owner of the websites, more than ten thousand dollars were donated in hopes the hobby websites survive. At this time, we do not have sufficient information to know if the websites created a negative cash flow. The websites have a user following (goodwill) that took many years to develop. When the estate contracts with a competent probate attorney, I recommend that said attorney also be knowledgeable with tax law and how tax laws apply to the websites. In the future, there will be a requirement for tax returns to be filed for the websites assuming "contributions" continue to flow as they did in prior years. It does not matter what word is used for money sent to the website operators. Income is income, as previously shown in my prior post-citation related to IRS requirements. (See this citation I submitted in a prior post): https://www.creditkarma.com/tax/i/hobby-income-taxed#:~:text=The answer: You must pay,if your hobby's a business. Without contributions or fees from forum users, the site likely will not continue. If money is received from forum users, a tax return will be required to report the income. I doubt any single forum member would want to claim the websites on his or her personal income tax returns. Alternatively, some type of business must be formed to hold the websites. As Benjamin Franklin said many years ago, "in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes,” -
  19. My message is well-intended. Respectfully, I disagree with your statement that I quoted from you above in bold. The probate court will decide if the websites are part of the estate. Even though Bill did not charge a fee for using his websites, he did accept donations from many who paid to use the sites. Not all members contributed. The donations were sufficient to keep the functioning of the websites, allowing Bill to continue his hobby. According to the Internal Revenue Code, hobby income is taxable income. It is possible that Bill reported the donations on his tax returns. Moreover, he might also have had ancillary income from the websites which he might have reported on his income tax returns. Without seeing his prior tax returns, we do not know how Bill treated the hobby income. I assume Bill did everything according to law. Knowingly leaving off the websites from the probate inventory could have very bad consequences. If the court learned of the intentional omission before closing the estate, the person appointed administrator would likely be removed and a court-appointed replacement would occur. There could be additional troubling issues. As a user of this website, I am not part of those included in "we all agree" to omit the websites from probate. Rather than furnish tax law citations, please read the below link that will give you and others an idea of how the Internal Revenue Code applies to hobbies and related income, regardless of what the income is called. https://www.creditkarma.com/tax/i/hobby-income-taxed#:~:text=The answer: You must pay,if your hobby's a business. I want very much for this website to continue. I also hope to see the transition legal. I appreciate all the hard work of those involved in salvaging the websites. Let not all the hard work be done in vain by filing a false probate inventory. A competent Nevada probate attorney can guide the process through the court. Best of luck.
  20. ? - ! The probate court will be "bothered" with any and all assets of the estate,
  21. How did the mortuary have permission to cremate the deceased without a death certificate? Perhaps you could find their source and expedite the process of getting a certified copy. Just a well-intended suggestion.
  22. Thanks, I learned something. I had not thought of those reasons for the ad being expired after only two days of membership.
  23. Besides what is already noted by others about the photos, the escort's ad has already expired. How can this be, the ad has been opened only two days. Ad advertisement on rentmen expires in two days? Usually an ad is valid for one month. This makes me think he has been with rentmen a while under a different name.
  24. Uh, oh! There is a new question that IRS asks on tax returns filed for 2020 in connections with cryptocurrency or virtual currency. https://www.cointracker.io/blog/irs-clarifies-cryptocurrency-question-on-form-1040 Buying this alternate cash can have some heavy-duty tax consequences. And, if you bought cryptocurrency in the past or in 2020, be sure to answer "yes" to the question asked on page 1 of Form 1040 for 2020 and later years unless the IRS removes the requirement for disclosure.
  25. I looked at various parts of this new incarnation of the forum. Everything I looked at seems intact the way it was using the other site address. I find it astonishing that you were able to make the transition so quickly and without any apparent issues. Thank you very much. Job well done.
