  1. And the previous advice about fibre stands.
  2. Robster has clothes?
  3. 'Take the mickey' is certainly a term I'd use. I thought it was universal.
  4. Few Australians hold company shares, some have mutual fund investments that do, but our compulsory national retirement savings scheme is primarily based on bank-run and industry funds that hold huge investments on the stock exchange. The stock market is inherently volatile so the bigger funds here (mainly the industry ones) are realising that investing directly in income producing assets like toll roads and other utilities are more stable and hence more reliable. The Ontario teachers' pension fund has been doing that for years. They are also better custodians of those sorts of assets as they are not driven by quarterly profit figures but by the long term returns.
  5. The fires were the lead item on the ABCTV news this evening, and radio current affairs had an interview with the mayor of Santa Rosa. We've already had the first fires of the season and it's not that long since local rural fire service people returned from deployments firefighting in BC.
  6. I suspect it's clear by now whether it's made the national news there, but it certainly has here. People here are all too familiar with the patchwork effect embers can have on properties destroyed. so the seemingly random destruction, including of a Hilton, is not surprising.
  7. Used ironically? Nah, flawed usage, not irony!
  8. . My understanding is that they only escort together, so flying Tyler in won't happen unless Ace is in on the deal
  9. Well, you didn't accept any sort of half measure. I have looked at his ads and mused about meeting him. Kudos, bb!
  10. Cheeky, @VictorPowers!
  11. Would it be impolitic of me to mention the pool party this year?
  12. Short of meeting, we have traded chats. I can't wait to meet him in real life!
  13. I agree with you broadly, and love the pizza analogy. I haven't been to Las Vegas, but I have been one who has defended Derek based on what I've read. (In science, literature reviews where someone writes a paper based on other analyses but without their own basic research, are an accepted type of study.) The comedy of errors wherein an offer of meeting earlier ended up being a meeting at the original time through his stuff-ups is more amusing than reprehensible. But still annoying. Regardless of the rights and wrongs of how the appointment went down, his 'deal with it' response is plain dumb. As I said, I ain't been there, but there are other gentlemen who I would pick first in LV regardless of how attractive Mr Atlas may seem. No shade on any others, but I'd start with the ever so delightful and friendly @peterhung85 and newbie @JoshATX . But I wouldn't say no to Derek.
  14. Yep, that must be it!
  15. Sooo, just another notch in your belt (or perhaps in your bedhead would be more appropriate in this case)? Oh to be objectified thus!
  16. I've even heard that some escorts will take a guy out to lunch with no thought of it being an 'escort-client meeting'.
  17. That assumes he has had the surgery. From what I've read, they don't all do so, relying instead in hormonal therapy. The guy in the link I posted hadn't had surgery, and as I read it was relying on hormones which he deliberatively stopped taking for a while to bear a child.
  18. It's happened, on googling it's apparently fairly common. This example was the subject of a documentary on national television a couple of years ago (I remembered watching it at the time, so I looked for it specifically, and saw others in the search results). http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-08-10/melbourne-transgender-man-blessed-to-have-given-birth/6678726
  19. I have difficulty choosing between my real name and my stage name.
  20. A lot of us are dim already.
  21. Oh, Victor, I've already stolen them. I won't be using them on the internet though, just for private use!
  22. Yes, it does mean you're blocked. If it's deactivated you get a 404 unfound message. And yes, the profile is visible if you log out.
  23. +1
  24. @Epigonos, I'm aware that there will be a great change of temperature from base to top, I'm looking to see the view (and will take a jacket with me). I was counselled to check it out this year but I decided not to try to get there by taxi. I very much planned to be able to do it 'next year'. Eric was one of those who told me I needed to check it out.
