    Not meaning to speak ill of the dead, but it was very irresponsible for the deceased to not have made provisions for such a massive collection of birds. I would think this incident would prompt the city of Anchorage to place limits on birds, reptiles, and other small pets.

    It is beyond belief that after all that the dog displayed absolutely no indication of physical exhaustion. I'll have what she's having.

    I once attended a recital series at Carnegie Hall, which featured Birgit Nilsson among its artists. The one thing that I have always remembered from that series is that Birgit Nilsson's voice was "ready" at the first note she sang. I was so impressed. Virtually every one of the other artists required some singing before their voices were "ready."

    I can see your point of view if the icons are interpreted as absolutes. I perceive the icons as only generalities. If a respondent has a pointed disagreement with a posting, there is more likely to be a written statement of it along with or without the thumb-down icon.
