  1. Have you noticed what made its way into the Oval Office?
  2. I wish I could help, but I wouldn't offer my cooking to anyone not on death row. My mother was an apprentice to an exceptional cook and carried it forward. I have emotionally kicked myself many times for not having paid attention while my mother was preparing meals.
  3. Good! More for me.
  4. I'm a leech on this thread as I don't prepare any side-dishes, but I sure have consumed them (sweet potatoes, cornbread, gravy, lima beans, creamed onions...somebody stop me!) . My consistent favorite is the dressing. The most memorable turkey dressing I've ever had was a chestnut dressing. Beyond that, my mother's mince pie. I was the only one in my family that liked mince pie, which kept me in mom's mince pie for a long time after Thanksgiving.
  5. Me too. If I had $90.3 million to purchase that painting, I would still have my $90.3 million.
  6. These days I make conscious efforts to dilute my ire because I really feel the toll of the stresses, but it ain't easy. Our government feels justified in squandering millions for troop movements, fortification materials, and containment housing in preparation for a bogus invasion, but for its citizen victims of the apocalyptic California fires, not so much. There are probably factors beyond my scope, but I just can't buy it. Government furnished and air-conditioned containment tents: California fires tent city:
  7. I have never had to evacuate my home. I try to not think about having to endure that horror under any circumstances.
  8. This present response methodology has to be reworked. The magnitude of the loss of life and property from these all-too-frequent massive fires is apocalyptic. I don't know how financially/logistically prohibitive it might be, but I'm thinking a fleet of civilian and military tanker planes that could/would be dispatched at the very beginnings of such blazes rather than after they are well underway. Within the maze of local/state/federal government bodies there must be a collective wisdom up to the task of dealing with this hellish recurring scenario.
  9. Maybe it's a generational thing. I remember it from a looooong time ago.
  10. Having been seeing him for only a couple of months, I say don't overthink it. If he doesn't bring it up in conversation, I wouldn't.
  11. Yes, but my skill level quickly propelled me on to other amusements.
  12. My eyes feel better already.
  13. I can't be sure if it applies in this case, but if the subscription for a burner number is not renewed, that number will go back into a pool, and the next time the person subscribes he/she has to pick from a pool of available numbers.
  14. It puzzled me for a time also. After checking the urban dictionary site, I found the following definition: bump BUMP to bring up somebody's post typically by posting the word "bump" on a message board Can also stand for Bring Up My Post
  15. As a consumer of meat products, I'm also more than concerned about chemicals being fed to livestock and any long-term effects of those chemicals.
  16. Of course, I misread the title of this thread.
  17. I support of the separation of electricity and water has deterred me from ever wanting an appliance in my bathroom.
  18. His look has a nice hint of Manny Jacinto: Manny Jacinto: http://starrymag.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/MannyJacinto-660x375.jpg I can dream.
  19. If it were "just common sense" for every man "born with the body and raised with an open mind" to pursue a professional escorting career, options would be far more plentiful and the rates considerably more affordable.
  20. It is always refreshing for me to be reminded how trivial our earthly trials and tribulations compare to the "big picture."
  21. I've never understood men who declare themselves to be totally heterosexual making themselves available for sexual intimacy with other men, for profit or leisure. There is some kind of mental/emotional difficulty within that. I equate it with me declaring myself a vegan at a rib joint.
  22. It was when I relocated to NYC, while in my late twenties, that I tasted a bagel for the first time. I had a bagel every day for a year after that.
