  1. Your posting instantly reminded me of a heated exchange I once had with a drinking buddy. I told him that because I regard a man as "hot" does not mean that I desire him. My "buddy" told me that it is not possible to think a man is hot without wanting to get into his pants. It was downhill from there. I, too, am most attracted to Asians, and when I was seen noticing a non-Asian, I would get hit with "why are you looking at him, he's not Asian." Then I would have to school the person that for me Asian is a preference, not a requirement. Boy, how I miss "The Web" Asian bar that was on East 58th Street in New York City.
  2. You postings are inspirational for me. I recently got on board for weight reduction. My physician warned me several times that my skeleton would not be able to support my weight into old age. I have currently reached the 30lbs. lost mark and the difference in my everyday activities is beyond my expectations. Everything is different (easier) breathing, reaching, bending, just getting up from a chair. No more pain in my ankles, knees, or back. This has required a drastic changing of my meals routine. Not so easy after a lifetime of living to eat rather than eating to live. One other point of interest that has caught my attention is the shift in my center of gravity. It is most noticeable in the angle of my leaning when going up/down stairs. It looks like I won't be seeing my physician again until about June (God willing). I hope he will be pleased with my effort.
  3. Good luck trying to resist that.
  4. Maybe. If you have not already done so, you could post your question in the forum here titled "Tech Talk." Perhaps the more tech savvy people here would have an answer for you.
  5. I just tried with success. Maybe there was site work being done at the time you tried.
  6. I was being facetious playing "beef" (meat) against "vegan."

No worries, happens a lot in here.
  8. The title of this thread is a "red herring." ?

  10. The disarray of his surroundings is off-putting, but I do kind of like the wall hanging.
  11. I enjoyed that video very much. I agree the conductor is a stunner...as are two of the trombonists and one of cellists. (Sometimes I amaze even myself with my lack of focus.)
  12. Consider a different shade of lipstick for your pig. Neither the thread title nor any of the previous postings mentioned or even suggested the subjects advertised.
  13. My view is that coercing straight men into homosexual intimacies in exchange for some funds necessary to feed/shelter/medically provide for their families is flat-out wrong.
  14. I remember that episode. I recall thinking the deceased's grandson dodged the bullet. ?
  15. A unified effort is the most crucial element and also the most under-addressed. From the start there have been high-profile, influential individuals promoting caution while others of the same stature were promoting business-as-usual. The most damaging were the ones who promoted caution and social distancing having their hypocrisy videotaped while mixing and mingling without caution at spreader events. If the forthcoming vaccines are not all they are cracked-up to be, I fear a mini-extinction level event.

  17. The one on the right is hosting a slew of my weaknesses.
  18. Strive to be a good student and retain what you learn. Remember that it's not what you know that makes you smart, it's how you apply what you know. Do not neglect your physical health. Try to not overthink difficulties. Everything that is on your mind should not come out of your mouth (I'm way too late with that one). Do not confuse the cost of a gift with the value of a gift.
  19. Tetsuya Kumakawa: I'm not a ballet aficionado, but I was given a profound respect for it when I saw this man repeatedly soar up off the stage, suspend himself in mid-air then glide effortlessly, silently, and solidly back onto the stage.
