The usual things- 3 burglaries, vehicle vandalized three times, assaulted on a dark street once. The only exotic one was being in a neighborhood store when it was held up. As he was running out of the store, the guy briefly pointed his shotgun at me and told me to stay put. One time, an employee of a messenger service that I used regularly charged a bunch of things on my credit card.

I don't think topical products are any good for lines, wrinkles and sagging skin, but they can certainly improve the appearance of the skin surface. I had a friend a long time ago, I nice-looking actor/model/waiter. The modeling agency he worked with required him to use Erno Lazlo skincare products which he purchased through them at a discount. He had nice enough skin, but he had the minor imperfections that anybody does. I was amazed at the change in the appearance of his skin after using the Lazlo products for a few months. He looked really good.

I have had numerous occasions when I stopped to help somebody or give first aid or drive them to the hospital. I had one occasion when I was walking through a crummy part of town. A block or so away, I saw two young guys assaulting an old drunk. One was holding him with his arms pinned and the other was punching him in the face repeatedly. I thought, "I have to stop this somehow, "and I started walking faster in that direction wondering what I could do. Fortunately, a couple cop cars pulled up and intervened. I was very relieved.

I vaguely remember that show "December Bride." I think there was also a spinoff from it with Harry Morgan and Cara Williams, don't remember the name.

Men carry purses here too, they're just not called purses-daypacks, briefcases, totes, etc. Designers and mens wear manufacturers keep trying to interest American men in purses, but they're just not biting. The marketing/advertising hasn't hit the mark yet. Some time, somebody will come up with the right formula and the trend will spread like wildfire.

My mother mother had a quaint notion of the things a gentlemen carried in his pockets - a money clip and a small pocket knife. She got me both and I promptly lost both.

I keep a little cash $20 - 30.00 folded in my pocket and I have a very thin wallet for ID and cards.

Time wasters are a common problem for any service professional. I talk to at least one person every day who is looking for free legal advice. At 15 minutes, I tell them I will need a consulting fee to keep talking.

A friend of mine had quite a long close relationship with a young couple. The three of them went everywhere together. Eventually, they broke up with him. They thought he was trying to come between them.

No, they don't always get it right. But I did notice that they get it right with respect to problem gambling. Not a word in the description about addiction. They call it what it is, a disorder.

That is incorrect. A compulsion is a repetitive behavior from which an actor is unable to refrain. An addiction is a compulsion compounded by a physical dependency.

I think it is important to distinguish between compulsive behaviors and addictions.

That's something at least. It is classified as a behavioral addiction, implying that behavioral addiction and substance addiction are distinct from each other.

I like Aussie. It has the intelligent, erudite sound of British without the imposing, pretentious sound. And Brits who've lived in the US for awhile and toned down their accents sound good also.

Isn't it a chain?

I like nearly any vegetable, except for okra, maybe. I'm also lazy about fixing them. Mainstays are spinach, romaine, bibb lettuce, broccoli, asparagus, green beans, carrots, red onions, green onions, cucumbers. potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, red bell peppers. I like to make Japanese pickles - thinly-sliced cucumbers, radishes and green onions marinated with rice vinegar, sugar and a little salt for 15 or 20 minutes. It's one of my favorite condiments. Haven't made it very much in a long time, but I used to make ratatouille all the time. I had a great recipe that I had gotten out of a Sunset cookbook. It was my go-to dish for potlucks. I could always count on taking an empty dish home.

It's a lot of fun being a fit old geezer. A while ago, a young guy asked me if he could take my picture to show his father. The other day, some young guy came up and said,"man, you are JACKED. How old are you?"

This aesthetician that I went to cleaned my pores manually. It was uncomfortable, but my skin looks smooth and with a lot fewer imperfections. I thought it was an hour well spent. I don't think reasonable people think that the treatments they get from aestheticians are any long-term remedy for lines, wrinkles, etc. On the other hand, if you're looking for a simple, non-invasive way to improve the appearance of the skin surface, an aesthetician is a reasonable option.

Big difference between the two. "Not caring" comes from a place of supreme confidence, knowing that you have nothing to prove. "I'm too old, so I may as well not try" comes from resignation and powerlessness.

You might have misunderstood. What I read in his message is that he doesn't care - there are more important things.

There's no faster way to improve the appearance of your skin. I get exfoliating gloves at Walgreen's and go over my entire body a couple times in a week. Makes your skin look smooth and healthy.
