  1. I can set something up for the short term. Hopefully it's not actively being used though.
  2. Per Daddy's instructions posted at: https://www.companyofmen.org/help/donate/ If you've manually donated, PM me and I'll add you to the forum.
  3. It's still there. Everything that exists today is still going to be there. I'm just going to be reordering/regrouping the forums. (I'm creating a new announcements forum as well in an effort to need to pin threads in The Lounge like we traditionally have had to do. General Discussion Political Issues Comedy & Tragedy The Sports Desk Tech Talk
  4. An example of some of the topics in the semi-private conversation area include what I posted regarding estimated operating costs for the website... some updates on finding out the status on Daddy (before we found out the bad news), etc. It's things that might be somewhat more sensitive in nature and not something we want being able to be picked up by Google or by a bot creating an account.
  5. The Cabana would continue to be limited to those who have contributed to the site or to "trusted members" so that we continue to have a semi-public (or most likely more accurately non-public) space for discussions. I was not around when the Deli was named, but I always thought of it as a deli being a place where you buy meat... what kind of meat you might be purchasing I'll leave to your imagination. (Most of us here would be fans of a nice sausage I imagine.)
  6. After speaking with the other moderators, it has been observed the organization of the forums is a little unnatural and seems to be sorted based on when they were created. As a result I will be looking to reorganize the forum listings a bit. Below is an outline of how we plan to organize the display: Updated 5/5: Announcements Site News * [*]General Discussion The Lounge The Cabana [*]Daddy's Den The Deli The Spa Ask A Provider Male Strip-Clubs Fetish Forum [*]Media and Entertainment Political Issues Movies TV and Streaming Services Music Lincoln Center (Opera) * [*]Live Theater and Broadway [*]The Gallery [*]The Sports Desk [*]Literature [*]Destinations Traveling Providers Traveling Members The Americas ** Europe Africa/Asia/Australia Street Scenes [*]Back Office Tech Talk Features and Feedback * * New forum to be created. ** Expanded from South America to all North/South America travel outside of the US I did not want to just spring this on everyone unannounced, so my goal is to share the plan here first and then make the change in the next few days. If you have any questions or would like to propose a name for the Lounge/Cabana container, feel free to reply below.
  7. I found a way to get to the review admin area. I now have a password that works to let me in. There looks to be around 30 reviews in the queue. I don't know how the tool works fully yet as I just literally got in. But at least I have a way to access data now.
  8. The reviews are stored inside of a mySQL database. And yes, there are still reviews being submitted... I see several that all have submit dates in the last 2 months. So the good news is it's not all piled up into an email folder somewhere. I also found the Admin area for the reviews. I don't have a good way of accessing it because the password is encrypted in the database. I'm going to have to try to figure out what hashing algorithm is used so that I can create an account for myself.
  9. So I've been able to make a few changes to support any of the old direct URLs. If someone had a bookmark to a specific URL such as: https://www.daddysreviews.com/cruise/newest/dominus_oakland It will be automatically kicked to the new URL automatically https://archive.m4m-forum.org/cruise/newest/dominus_oakland This redirect only works as long as Daddy's server is online until we manage to get control of DNS which is something Team Washington is working on.
  10. I don’t know yet. That’s actually a good question. I’ll look at the code tomorrow to see what happens when a review is submitted. If the results are stored in a database, I’ll have access to the data. If it is just a form that collects all of the fields and emails it somewhere, at minimum I’ll know where they’re being sent.
  11. Before COVID, I used to be out in Phoenix a couple of times a year for work. Some day again soon!
  12. As I've said previously, out of an abundance of caution, I've backed up most of the content on Daddy's server. The first priority was getting the forum itself back online which has been done. I've gotten to the point where I've been able to tackle restoring the review site. This was MUCH more difficult as there was a bunch of things coded specifically for Daddy's server. I managed to get the data copied over and to import the mySQL database associated with the site. Once I did that, nothing really worked so I had to go look into the code to see what was going on. This involved changing a bunch of files to reflect where files are located on the new server. It's not perfectly restored (meaning some of the commentary and news links are not fully working), but all of the reviews seem to be working. Main Website: https://archive.m4m-forum.org/ Reviews Based on Location: https://archive.m4m-forum.org/cruise Reviews Based on Name: https://archive.m4m-forum.org/search I do not plan to try and maintain the system Daddy used to run the reviews. It is simply too much to try to manually do. So the plan for now is for the archive to stay as-is for historical purposes. At a later time, I plan to introduce a new review site that would collect the info and allow for a more streamlined method of management. Once it's ready, we'll need some volunteers to help us manually migrate reviews over into the new long-term tool. Once we're ready to do that, I'll post here asking for some help with all of the copy/pasting that is going to be involved. Hopefully in the next half hour or so, I'll be able to have the main review website redirect to the archive. It's not perfect, but I hope it helps us preserve a vital part of our history.
  13. I have updated "Verbose" to be a sleeping icon and "Applause" to be the requested one. Given that I just made the change, it might take a little bit for your computer's temporary internet files to update to the new version.
  14. I’m personally very interested in recovering it. It’s what drove the most interest to this forum. It’s part of our history/heritage and I think if I can set it up right, it will be as much work to maintain as moderating an individual forum.
  15. The site data has been copied over but unless I buy another domain and forward it, there is not a way to bring it online until we get control of DNS. Team Washington is in Vegas working on that and a few other things this week.
  16. As a side note, per my post in the tech forum, a cry reaction is no longer a negative reaction. It’s considered neutral as of about 5 minutes ago.
  17. It’s now a neutral reaction.
  18. I saw a couple of episodes and have enjoyed the show. Love some of the ideas such as the floating cabanas, and growing grapes for their own wines later.
  19. Only if it involves being presented by a really hot guy in a bow tie and no pants!
  20. When I migrated the forum, all reactions were showing up as a question mark "?". I had to manually re-associate them with no idea what they were before. I can edit any of the ones that are there or create new ones if they make sense.
  21. I don't know why it's associated as a negative reaction... that's how it was by default. If the community agrees, I can change it to a neutral reaction. (I don't know if it should be considered a "positive" reaction, so neutral would be a decent compromise.)
  22. Yes. That's the easiest way to think about it.
  23. There are no such thing as stupid questions! This is actually a good question because the answer might not be as obvious as someone might think it would be. When you visit the website and click around, each time the server processes something for you it's seen as a request. I've changed the stats to not report each individual file/click as a request, instead it is counting just the unique person instead. If it counted each object you requested, it would make the country stats skewed if one person clicked more links.
  24. What surprised me the most was the percentage of traffic to the site that was done via mobile devices. More than 50% of the site's traffic comes from users browsing from their phone. I don't typically see that high of a percentage across many of the site I help manage. It looks like a majority of the users to this site are using iPhones or Macs... which is somewhat higher than what I generally see as well.
  25. I know that many people here love numbers and stats. Within the last few days, I've been able to enable better logging which will give some interesting insights to the community overall as a whole. These stats are just for the last 24 hours (basically for Saturday) Daily Traffic (Daily Overview): Visits - 7.32k Page views - 59.27k Requests - 407.3k Requests by Country: United States - 6.7k United Kingdom - 190 Australia - 100 Canada - 80 Netherlands - 30 Israel - 30 France - 20 Germany - 20 Greece - 20 Colombia - 20 Most Popular Site Paths: / (home) - 4.62k /forums/the-spa.34/ - 490 /forums/the-deli.30/ - 450 /forums/male-strip-clubs.40/ - 80 What Browser Do Users Use: MobileSafari - 2.36k Safari - 1.24k ChromeMobile - 990 Chrome - 880 Unknown - 580 Firefox - 540 Edge - 310 What Operating System Do Users Use: iOS - 2.88k MacOSX - 1.83k Windows - 1.08k Android - 880 Unknown - 580 Linux - 40 ChromeOS - 30 What Device Type Do Users Use: Mobile - 3.45k Desktop - 3.37k Tablet - 500
