  1. I'll be traveling next month to South Florida, to do some real estate business, help my brother packing up for his move to Panama, and visit two providers in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Both guys aren't interested in travel just yet, and I wouldn't ask anyone to travel to me- but I've got no problem combining family, business, and hobby activities into one trip. The local scene here has dried up- the riots, looting, and shootings have really begun to affect this place, and I would be getting away ever if I didn't already have reasons for doing so. IMHO it's being overlooked that the handling of the virus to date has achieved one of the most important issues- namely the slowing of the inevitable spread of infections. Social distancing (Jeez I hate that phrase) and limits on economic activity are drastic, yes, but had the spread of the virus occurred over three weeks instead of the last six months, our health care system would have collapsed- imagine the 200k dead and 2 million infected all happening in March! There's no way this country could have handled it. It's bad enough what we saw in New York, I shudder to think about every hospital in the nation dealing with that chaos? People are gonna make their own choices- and as long as these choices are taken with thought and preparation, I'll accept that. But, the fools who just listen to the "experts" in our political system, instead of science and medicine, get what they deserve. Corona is here to stay, and we all will modify our lives to go on in spite of it. Good luck to all of us!
  2. I've had Siberian Husky dogs and Siamese cats- the cats are sassy enough to keep the dogs from pushing them around!
  3. "What you see, is what you get" as the old song goes- tho the "stache had to be sacrificed for the sake of face masking!
  4. Growing up on a Montana ranch, my brothers and I found out early what was going on when the bull would "ride" the cows and the pony was playing "jump over' on a mare- sex was not much of a mystery when it's going on just outside the kitchen window! Puberty hit early and solid, at age 12 I was 6 foot, 175 pounds, and being told I looked like a college freshman. That year Mom remarried again, we left the ranch and moved in to the city, and I took a morning paper route for savings and spending coins. When the delivery drivers went on strike, the boys had to ride downtown on our bikes -or get the parents up to drive us down in the station wagon - to pick up our delivery bundles. Weekdays Mom would drop off me and my bike at the press plant on her way to work around 5AM and I would bike back and do my route. Saturday and Sunday, tho, I was left to my own devices, and usually rode downtown my self and got my bundle. One Saturday morning in July, I was up way early, and decided to go into town to see if the papers were ready, leaving home around 2 AM. When I got to the dock, there was just two others waiting for the pressers to open up, one guy I knew a bit, the other a kid from the east end. Like big dumb country kids are wont to do I wandered over to talk to them, and as I did, a Corvette slowly pulled down the street and came to a stop at the alleyway corner. The two guys there looked at the driver, who waved at the eastside guy. Kid goes to the car, gets in, and they drive off. I walk up to the guy I know, and he looks at me a bit sheepishly, and when I ask if the east side guy is not gonna work, he laughs out loud "OH, he's gonna work alright , but just for a half hour" and laughs him self hoarse! Turns out the guy I knew from school had figured out the he'd make a lot more money being downtown after the bars closed and going on "car dates" and then using the paper route as a cover for being out in the middle of the night. The eastside guy had stumbled on to this, just as I had, and was also pulling in extra cash. I promised to keep it quiet, but I'll admit I took a couple of "dates" during that summer, just for fun- tho the cash was always a nice extra! An overgrown 13 year old will let the hormones take over occasionally. When school started that fall, the drivers came back from their strike, the screws tightened at home, and that was the end of "Car dates". Finally, after getting done with high school and going off to college, I pretty much came to the conclusion that I was bisexual- there were things about sex with girls i liked, and things about sex with guys I liked, so I had a succession of both men and women as my romantic partners, but the idea of paying for it never crossed my mind. About nine years ago, I paired up with a younger guy, smoking hot, but he was severely injured from a high school football injury, so sex was limited, and the thought of hiring began to cross into my consciousness. Unfortunately, the guy passed away in a drowning accident, and I was so shook up I didn't know what to do. I agreed to let an old girlfriend move in with me, and put mansex out of my view for now. After this gal had been in my house for a bit, I made a move towards being more physical, and her response was that she had given up on intimacy and that part of her life was over! Wish I'd known that before letting her move in, but now I knew that I could seek mansex without guilt or repercussion- but to keep peace at home, I did not "rub her face" with my activity, just kept it out of the house. At the time, I was working for a large sporting goods manufacturer, as a traveling sales display supervisor, setting up on-site displays and microstores at conventions and sporting events. I was on the road two or three times an season. During one long East Coast trip, I found myself in Washington DC with a couple days wait for a shipment of product to catch up with me, so I decided to check out Secrets- tho I had been to Silverado in Portland before, this seemed a bit more wicked, being away from home and, frankly, horny as hell and with a nice Georgetown hotel room all to myself (my work partner would show up in a couple days, and we would share the hotel room as per company policy). So off I went to Half Street. The dancers were all cool, and pretended to be interested when I told them I was from Oregon, just in town for a couple days, working in sporting goods. One dancer stood out, tho- dark, masculine, muscled and tattooed. With no private rooms for lap dances, I had to chat him up during his floor rotation . but by the end of the night, I girded up my loins and asked if he would be interested in getting together the next day. To my relief, David Benjamin said, "Sure", and we set our appointment. The next day, he met me at my room, pleasantries and considerations were exchanged, and a good time was had by all. I had no idea he was about done with stripping and was moving into porn, and afterward we talked for a good long time- I think he sensed that I was a bit out of practice, and was a true gent, I'll always think kindly of him. So that started my obsession with getting strippers to go the escort route.
  5. It's tucked in the woods back behind one of the ladies strip clubs at Five Corners- I do wonder how many guys have gone out there and gave up, thinking they've been victims of a funny joke?
  6. BTW- their Facebook page says they are open only Thursday thru Sundays for now, no Mon-Tue-Wed nights.
  7. Ya, I'd not risk eating there, but there is a kitchen back by the office.
  8. Looking forward to stepping out of the shower at Inndulge next April to the realization, the whole last year has been a dream(nightmare) sequence ala "Dallas" 1986!
  9. It's certainly not in Beverly Hills, but you can avoid driving thru East ST Louis if you plan your GPS appropriately. Lately, he problem seems to be that I-255 is under constant construction evenings, and a driver unfamiliar with the area can end up in an unsavory neighborhood easily. I've always had a car while working in STL over the last decade, so it's a well-worn path for me, but a first-timer might have some concerns. The one time i did use a taxi (meeting up with someone already there and being designated driver for the trip back) cost $36 from the Drury Inn at the Arch in downtown. There are plenty of Holiday Inn/Drury Inn-type hotels in O'Fallon and Shiloh, IL, a few miles to the east in suburban areas.
  10. Yer talkin' two different experiences here- you really should try both, if at all possible! Boxers is more of a "hillbilly holiday", while Richard's is a showcase of beefy and gay-for-pay eye candy, both worth a visit in my opinion. Atlanta's plus is that you can run over to Cheshire Bridge and check out the guys at BJ Roosters (not nude, but cute in their own way)
  11. Never ever EVER buy a first year of a Ford- let the suckers be the guinea pigs!
  12. You're spot-on about the Tom's Of Maine fragrance-free deodorant- a provider in Phoenix allowed me to use his when I failed to pack my own during a visit, and I've never gone back to any other brand since.
  13. The ability to receive, and also give, complements (whether true or just socially expected) is a hallmark of a true gentleman.
  14. Generally the type of guy I see is younger, taller, lightly muscled, and a brain that holds up to a discussion of topics of the day. Young, dumb , and fulla cum has never been my wheelhouse- except for a one-nighter while on a work trip!
  15. Virtually every 25-to-35 year old I take out has some makeup on, usually a very light touch to accentuate cheek line or dimples- must be freeing for them, but I couldn't see myself ever doing that.
  16. My teenaged sense of humor was indelibly set by "Airplane", Monty Python films, and too many Saturday midnights at the RiverPark Theatre "Rocky Horror Picture Show" viewings - oh the good ol' days!
  17. After checking out the changes at Silverado, Portland's older gay strip club, I figured it would be wise to scope out the doings at Stag PDX, the newer club. After 5 years in business, but in a much smaller premises, I was curious about the changes they had undergone in order to reopen. First, of course, they are under the 10pm curfew which all liquor establishments are following, for the rest of the year probably. So, their dancers are performing 6 to 10 pm. Club entry requires a temperature test with a scanner, a spritz of hand sanitizer, and acceptance of a written card explaining the COVID regulations being followed in the club. No cover on a Wednesday night- $5 on Friday and Saturday. Inside the club, social distancing is enforced with staggered seating for about 25 patrons. The service bar is roped off and you must stand away from the bar after getting your drink order- no loitering at the bar, they are looking for you to get your drink, and then take a seat in the stage area. They do provide four seating areas at the stage rail, right where the dancers are performing, as well as seven or eight seating groups along the wall and in front of the lap dance booths. With Wednesday being amateur night, there were a couple of groups there to cheer on their friends having their first onstage experience. With only having been reopened for a couple of weeks, some of the old time regular dancers were not yet returned. All the faces were new to me- at least what you can see of their faces. All dancers and staff were masked up, patrons must have masks on while moving about the club, OK to unmask when seated at a table. People here are used to the mask practice, and I saw no resistance to the policy from any patron. Favorite dancer for me was Venus, a slim, buzz cut flexible honey. Athletic dance with a fine butt, took my breath away just a wee bit. Next was Andreas, a fair skinned, dark haired European, (couldn't place the accent, Portuguese or Malta, maybe?) thickly muscled and active. My favorite amateur was King, a stocky Blond rugby type- a bit chunky but not afraid to work the pole and jump around. One of the things I've always appreciated about Stag is their open acceptance concerning persons in transition, both FTM and MTF. One of the amateurs that night was Lily, a transitioning MTF person performing, even with their breasts being bandaged from a recent medical procedure. It's a brave choice to to that work while "under construction", and that is appreciated. Unfortunately, what I didn't appreciate was the lack of full nudity from any of the 12 dancers working. It may he been because it was amateur night, or the fact of a small house crowd, but when I go to a strip club, the "strip" part is important. I did take two dancers to the lap dance booths- $20 plus tip for 5 mins, and no nudity but both guys were appreciate and active, almost to a fault. Both dancer and patron have to be masked, and hand sanitized after you leave the booth. All in all, I'm glad I went, tho disappointed with the lack of nudity. We'll have to see if that is an anomaly due to the current circumstance, of a change in club philosophy in general. Stay tuned....
  18. Let me know if you like it- I'd like to know if I have eclectic taste, or if I'm just a history nerd!
  19. In my school days, Dad gave a birthday gift of Clay Blair, Jr.'s "Silent Victory", a comprehensive record of the Pacific theater's naval warfare during the Second World War. Mainly focused on the submariner experiences, I wondered why he chose this for me, but after getting started on the 1,071 page tome, it became a most interesting read about the men and machines of the sub service. My younger brother would help himself to read it, and eventually he became a submariner himself. I still will grab it to read myself to sleep, some 40 years on. My retired escort friend in Miami and I are working our way through the Augusten Burroughs works,discussing-as a book club- after each one and I've just ordered through the reopened library system here a copy of "Hillbilly Elegy".
  20. Portland, and Multnomah County, Oregon were the last jurisdictions in the state to move into partial reopening for business including restaurants, retail stores, and bars. After seeing the reopening of Boxers n Briefs in St Louis, I thought it was time to see how the hometown places were handling this challenge. My curiosity needed to compare and contrast, and I wanted to say "hey" to some of the guys who make the long wet winters here at least bearable. So, here goes my description of last night's visit. First, the major change- hours of operation. PreCovid, Silverado's hours were 11AM to 2 AM, with dancers working 10PM to close. With the current rules allowing bars to be open only to 10PM, dancers are now working from 6 to 10 nightly, with a Sunday matinee from 2 to 6. Entry to the club required a mask (any public indoor space in OR requires that), plus a temperature check with a Flir scanner. No touch, no fuss, not an issue to me. Free entry weeknights, cover charge on Fri/Sat. These hours are expected to be the case for an extended period this summer- the next step of loosening restrictions will allow a midnight closing time, but will require a drop in infection rates and hospitalizations. Rural Oregon is getting there, but Metro Portland is lagging behind- not Phoenix or Houston-like numbers, but not ideal yet. Inside, the social distancing effort is apparent. The large main floor space is divided out by ropes, keeping the video poker and slots in a defined separate area. Tables and stools are spaced out to meet the mandate. Down stairs, the stage room is revamped. No chairs at the stage rail, tips go into a tip pail on the rail instead of into the dancer's drawers. There are still bar tables away from the stage, just fewer in number. The manager estimates a max capacity of 30 to 35, depending on how groups arrange themselves. Masks are required for patrons moving about the room, but if you are sitting at a table and drinking or eating you can remove the mask. However, dancers, bartenders and all staff are required to have masks on continuously. As in STL, it felt a bit strange to watch a dancer get down to nothing on but a mask! Lap dance booths are still in play, but masks are required. other than that, most of the bar rules are the same- I did not partake, but others did. Last night there were only a few dancers, so I didn't feel right tying up the dancer's time with chitchat. There's some stripper drama concerning scheduling and returning to work for some of the old-timers, but really, would you expect anything less? In all, the place is trying to make things work, and it will be interesting to see how a busy weekend works out- with the limited space, crowd control is going to be a challenge and the staff has their work cut out for them. Next up in a few days, I'll head around the corner to Stag- they've got a much smaller space, social distancing my be a greater challenge. Support your local- they need us more than ever before!
  21. I've got an avocado-colored box in my kitchen that also has a great dry heat, but right now its got a pizza stone inside for a Puttanesca supper tonite!
