Family will sticker shock - in a bad way.
moreofthat replied to viewing ownly's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
No upset here man - yeah, those are all options. Anything can change at any time. I'm pretty anti-marriage for myself, philosophically, but my partner and I tied the knot earlier this year because you can't manufacture all the legal and financial protections in any other way. But a good lawyer and financial planner will get you 75% of the way there. -
Is that this guy? https://rent.men/Shawnnbrooks

Yes. Thank you. Though the negative feelings around that word still exist for many people, and they shouldn't have to identify as such, even if their friends and community members do. I'm not sure what you're trying to get across here, but it doesn't feel like your intent is productive. I appreciate @francisssgorg call to be kind to folks of all identities, even ones you might not understand or resonate with.

A close family member of mine has made it very clear that my sister and I will inherit his assets upon his death (except for his current home, which will go to his live-in partner, who he's committed to but not legally married to). We've seen the will, it's all there in black and white. Given his health conditions, it's unlikely that he'll live past the next ten years. It's enough money to make a material difference to when, and/or how comfortably, my partner and I could retire. My sister is counting on that money for her kids' eventual secondary education, and I've told her multiple I think she needs a backup plan. A lot of my financial anxiety would be relieved if I could 100% know that money would be in my bank account one day. And yet... He could live until he's 100, upending my sister's plans He could change his mind about asset allocation for whatever reason, and either inform us or not The remainder of his life could whittle down his assets significantly He's invested in pretty stable stuff, but in this economy, who the hell knows. If I were heavily invested in the stock market and was close to retirement age, I'd be freaking out. Totally agree with sync. When it comes to other people's money, expect the worst (inheritance can cost people more time and money than it's worth, even if you do have generational resources), and be pleasantly surprised if your life improves. -
Would love to find a provider that's into this (being the tickler). Does anyone have any experience or knowledge? Of course local to Denver would be great, but would interested in talking with any provider about it!

Bump!

Bump. Now in Denver. Anyone have any experience?
-
This is awesome, man. Would you be willing to share the profiles of the providers you met with? No worries if not, but it's always helpful to know which providers might be more accommodating than others!
-
I've never met up with him, but we chatted over RM a few years back - seemed nice enough. Was considering reaching out to him again, but yeah, the out of date profile is not a great start.

Will be in Denver soon. What were the sensual elements like? Thanks! @jdjd46 @GeminiCA @DwebsterSB

@fromeastnowwest If you end up seeing him, let us know how it goes!

Now in Denver? There were two earlier threads on him that have since expired. No one on those threads had any in person experience. Anyone taken the plunge? https://rent.men/JohnJohnnay Also does massage: https://rentmasseur.com/Sawsoe

Is that from Early Edition? A gay awakening moment for me for sure in that show. I was probably 14-15 yo when it started airing? I wonder if I can stream that somewhere!

I had the great privilege of seeing Dolly perform at Red Rocks about a decade ago. Three hours straight with only breaks for wardrobe changes, and she was all over that stage. She was a rare source of pure goodness in the entertainment industry.

I've been on Wegovy for a little over a year, starting in June of 2025. At the time I started, I was at my heaviest (195 lbs on a 5'9" frame, 43 y/o), but I wouldn't have qualified for insurance coverage based on BMI alone. My PCP prescribed it to me based on my high cholesterol (I was genetically blessed with high cholesterol and have been taking statins since I was in my early thirties, thanks dad), and sleep apnea and pre-diabetic blood sugar that had been exacerbated by gaining 20-30 lbs over the last several years. What I describe next is only my experience, and what I've been told by medical professionals and read of my own accord. It hasn't been a "quick fix" for me. The side effects haven't been severe, but they have had an impact. The treatment slows the movement of food from the stomach to the intestines, so constipation can be a side effect. For me, that was the most challenging, especially since I was encouraged to eat high-protein meals to make sure I wasn't losing significant muscle mass while I was also losing weight. And eating more protein means you should be consuming more fiber, which means you should be drinking more water - all good things to be doing anyway, but challenging to manage for some. Eating foods high in fat can exacerbate the nausea side effect, which I'd describe as mild for myself, except when going up a dose (you're supposed to start at the lowest dose and gradually work your way up until your weight loss is at an appropriate pace, 1-2 lbs a week max. After 15 months, I've lost 25 lbs. But more importantly for me, my cholesterol numbers are lower than they've been since my late 20's, my blood sugar is in normal range, and I no longer need to use my CPAP. I have a healthier relationship with food, and I have fewer cravings (except when I'm stoned, that's a story for another time). I also personally know people who've been able to reduce or eliminate their use of medicine for rheumatoid arthritis, migraine prevention, and cholesterol (I'm still on my statin, but I'm considering reducing the dose). I'm not advocating that anyone should or should not take a GLP-1, but it's been encouraging to see how people's health has improved where other interventions have not, especially for those whose metabolisms have been wrecked by diet culture or health issues out of their control. Diet and exercise are extremely important parts of the equation, but I can guarantee there are many people on this forum who've tried really hard, followed the guidance, and still been unable to lose weight or make improvements on their biometrics. Feel free to DM me if you're considering starting and want a sounding board! I also read The Ozempic Revolution by Dr. Alexandra Sowa, and her explanation of the science and how to lose weight healthily was extremely useful as I was beginning this journey.

Bump. He's in Denver at the moment and interested, but only if folks have had positive experiences with him since the beginning of this chain. Much appreciated!

I saw CleanCutTalented while visiting Saugatuck, but would absolutely go see him next time I'm in NYC. He is charming, adorable, gives a fantastic therapeutic massage, was a great communicator while scheduling, and was a great host. His body is of the type that makes my pulse race. The massage was on a bed since he was traveling, but he had one of those headrests that attaches to the end of the bed that was pretty comfortable. Highly recommend, and would be happy to discuss in the DMs if anyone's interested.

Anyone know any masseurs in Denver who really know how to incorporate deep stretching? Or even better, an erotic stretching session? I'm in need of some flexibility training, and this sounds more fun than a yoga class. 😜

Just translated this site to English, and reading the translation is honestly hilarious. But it sounds like a really cool place! @Petris Sage I hope you go and report back!

+1 to Aamir's comment. I identify as gay, not interested in women, and have had some incredibly hot experiences with trans men. But I'm not a person who finds someone unattractive because they have a body part that isn't my ideal. I've played with cis men with wider hips, bigger breasts, less body hair, more jewelry, and/or juicier lips than your average Hollywood starlet, and they were all sexy men I was glad to have that experience with. To the OP, @PVink, others are correct here that seasoned providers have seen/heard it all, and have experience with being fetishized. For some, that actually might be part of the appeal. But since all trans men aren't the same, asking questions up front will make any experience you end up having more comfortable for both of you, even if you don't know exactly how to phrase it. Being respectful doesn't mean you'll always get it right or use that person's preferred vocabulary before they tell you, or that you'll end up having a perfect experience if you do meet up, but it does mean you show up with good intent and pivot when you get new information. But that's not a trans man thing, that's a human being thing.

New username for BrotherlyTouch: https://rentmasseur.com/PrimalRelease Also on MF with a new-ish ad as: https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/52963/ Personally, I don't understand the name changes for providers (unless they're location-specific and they move, or their service offerings change), but I'm not a provider, so what do I know. I also think his former name describes his services better. Either way, I'll continue to see him 🙂

Do you use or own any cookbooks that you keep coming back to for amazing recipes? I've purchased more than I care to admit, but only a few have more than 3-5 recipes I keep coming back to. Mine are below. What are yours? Power Plates (vegan/macro) - Gena Hamshaw Tahini Baby (Middle Eastern) - Eden Grinshpan Eitan Eats The World (multinational) - Eitan Bernath Relax, Honey (Indian) - Vikram Vij The Secret Ingredient ("American" but every recipe has a surprising ingredient) - Kelly Senyei
