  1. It's a real problem when in the shower for fun. I just have to bend over as much as I can go from a standing position because I can just barely get to my knees and once there I need help to get up. The in-between time tho . . .
  2. Sorry about all of this. I think we had a discussion a while back about diagnosing but we did not get into treatment. If you have tried the other sources then this is what you are left with. I do have a friend who had multiple iv iron infusions and she did fine, just slept during the procedure. No pain, no reactions. By the way, an anectdote - she had an asymptomatic hiatus hernia (esophagus to stomach) which was causing a very slow, constant, undetectable loss of blood. They did find the hernia with the usual studies and told her it was small and since she was asymptomatic nothing needed to be done. But she was getting more and more anemic, needed the iv iron, and so she convinced the surgeon to repair it and, lo and behold, her bleeding stopped and she was fine ever since!
  3. Be comforted that you did such a good deed that it came back to have such a wonderful impact on your life.
  4. Actually, the more you do it, the less grows back. I have used Magic for more that 20 years - at first once a month and now, on my back 3 times per year; elsewhere every 2-3 months depending on my schedule . Even when it grows back, it's less. And when I want it smooth and clean "in an emergency" a swipe here and there (mostly there) and 10 minutes later, smooth as can be.
  5. You would be surprised at the decrease in pain on the balls and crack. Careful around the anus tho!
  6. I used to perform laser hair removal in my office and it takes, on average, 6 - 10 sessions for a back, upper arms, butt, etc. The darker the hair, the fewer number of sessions. If having it done, DO NOT go in with long hair to be treated because the entire hair absorbs the laser energy and can cause more pain as it sits on the skin. I always had my clients use a cream such as "Magic" prior so it may look smooth but the laser grabs all the hair follicles in/under the skin with far less discomfort, especially on the balls and in the crack!!
  7. Guess who Nicholas Clay is...
  8. Caution Wolfer: once you start an antibiotic it is better to take to entire course than to stop in the middle - that also selects out resistance.
  9. If you haven't started, see if there is a lab open to take a sample. If not, it certainly is not my call to interfere with treatment by another physician so maybe give her a call to discuss. You may choose to wait it out over the weekend and if you still have symptoms then make sure to get yourself to a lab! Here in US we rarely give antibiotics for diarrhea/"stomach" infections because we recognize that the VAST majority are viral. Those travelers to Central/South America are an exception sometimes because they pick up what is normal bacteria (usually E. coli) but different strains from what we have here in US. That gives a usually self-limited infection and we try to wait it out. If we contemplate antibiotic treatment most docs here would make sure to get a culture, mainly because certain infections such as Shigella and Salmonella are reportable to the health department.
  10. It's unfortunate that doctors prescribe a lot of antibiotics which are unnecessary. Unless the stool has been cultured and grows a bacterial pathogen (one which is not found usually in the bowel and actually causes disease), antibiotics should not be prescribed. The vast, vast majority of diarrheal illness is caused by a viral infection. Prescribing an antibiotic when not necessary simply selects out "super-bugs" and promotes antibiotic resistance. That's what has happened with the new strain of gonorrhea!
  11. Shigella is typically spread thru the fecal-oral route and by food handlers - causing diarrhea and fever. It is not a common resident of the bowel unless someone is a carrier (rare) after having the disease. It is similar to Salmonella: fecal-oral and pet turtles among other things. So - don't rim your turtle!
  12. He is in Southern CA now, just outside of LA, possibly Silverlake or Echo Park.
  13. Happy birthday and wonderful good wishes! Enjoy yourself to the max!
  14. Again, thank you all!

  16. THANK YOU ALL!!! for your good wishes.
  17. It's high in Potassium - good for muscle cramps! Now you can believe her.
  18. Sorry, just came!
  19. I'd like to cum along!
  20. Bubby's Sauerkraut is the BEST - it is crispy and not soggy like a lot of the others and the juice is exceptional. I drink the juice and then add some water to replace and let it sit at least a week. Can only do once or twice before the flavor is lost. You can also add apple juice to the sauerkraut and wait about 5-6 days while it re-ferments.
  21. I LOVE sauerkraut juice!
  22. Nope - next is have you considered conversion therapy?
  23. What about the great white sharks?! On the other hand there was a grade school (I think) girl whose school assignment was to write about a country she would like to visit and her teacher gave her an "F". She chose Australia. He insisted Australia was a continent and NOT a country! She had to appeal to the principal. Of course, there was no action taken against the teacher, not even remedial geography!
  24. Sure I tried. Failed miserably, even when I was young and svelte and limber. There was something missing.
