There's an old saying that rings true for this topic.
It's not what you say, but how you say it.
Of course an escort makes choices in his clientele.  Everyone has preferences, limits and lines.  However, it's HOW you say 'no, thank you' that separates a great escort from just another five-and-dime hooker.  You never go out of your way to make someone feel less-than.  You spare people's feelings, always.
We're in the business of making people feel great and it defeats the purpose if we act like we're cruising Grindr.

While I don’t send pictures, I will painful describe myself if asked.
In fact, I most likely "undersell" the product just like I do in real
life hook ups. I’m always happier when the other person opens
the door and they’re relieved by what they see versus disappointed.
If we’re not a match, for whatever reason (racism, bigotry,
homophobia, body nazism, etc.) I’d rather know before I plan my
evening and open my wallet. Guys who get butt hurt about this
always amuse me. Wait?….you want to spend time with a dude who
is repulsed by you and is willing to chew his arm off to get
    away from you? Come on!
Too many fish kids. Move on and find the right one.

I think like any other relationship that is private....when you see them out...you smile politely and wait for them to respond.
If they look away...you walk away.
Learn some body language for God's sake. We're all adults here.

I’ve the same problem, if I see the cashiers at Good Will out in public. I live in fear that they’ll out me as someone that likes to buy second hand stuff.  😥

FYI...  we've had several new people register and reply to some really old topics most likely not catching the fact they're 5-20 years old.
As a result, we have disabled the ability to reply to posts that have not had replies for two years.  This should not effect 99% of you, but just documenting the change.

James is one of my regulars.  He is consistently good and offers a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable massage.  His style is not for those seeking a hard pressure rigorous massage.  Although I don't know him for 20 years, I'd say that he has aged well.  His pictures are current and he is a kind, intelligent man for whom I have great admiration.  I fully endorse James.

If you search the spas forum for “James AND 1099” you will find numerous mentions mostly from me… all positive. Haven’t seen him in years but he holds a special spot in my being as he was the very first masseur I ever went to. That was in Fort Green, Brooklyn 20 years ago! I can only hope I’ve aged as well as he has.

Concur with @Redwine56 , James is a great guy with personality and lots of skills.  Have known him for a long time and it's always been a relaxing fun session.  And you can rinse before and after a session.

Well it's a Korean Spa that still has its Korean clientele which depending on what service (showers/sauna etc) they are using can influence how guys are acting.  The wet steam room - is very hot - I think they keep it like that to dissuade any interaction.  Dry sauna is hot but not as bad as the wet sauna, has a window and well lighted.  Interaction occurs but is discreet, depends on which attendant is on duty and how many times they do walk-abouts.  Depending on the time/day - you run the gamut of age/body type/ethnicity.  For $25 it is not that expensive to use the facilities.  They do not have a male attendant to do scrubs (at least as of a month ago).

I think if you go expecting play, you're likely to be disappointed. Not going to say there's no chance, but from what I've seen, odds are low which is honestly OK with me. There are plenty of places you can find action out there, but there aren't that many places you can chill naked with other guys (especially in the non-summer months).

I’m a trainer not a massage therapist but in any case I develop a good relationship with my clients and even consider them friends. But like most businesses there comes a time I have to move in from my clients and the same in reverse, my clients move on from me. It’s seems like it should be easy but ultimately this is a business relationship.

As I approach an age where I am thinking of retiring I am going to have to face tough decisions in letting clients go, or rather reducing my schedule so I can enjoy more time for myself.

it’s not always a personal decision when a therapist moves on, maybe he developed a relationship or he shifted away from the business model.

I agree with LodoB on all points.
There is no absolute line on any of this...but to say that if you expect S E X from a masseur, for the price of a massage you're going to be sadly disappointed.

Tricky territory. The definitions of Therapeutic Massage, Sensual Massage and Erotic Massage vary widely from masseur to masseur and likely from client to client. It’s best to ask the masseur the difference between them so you know what to expect.
To me, therapeutic massage should provide therapeutic benefits, ease tense muscles, break up knots, and generally be a legit massage rather than a weak unskilled body rub. Draping and nudity will vary by masseur.
Sensual massage may or may not be therapeutic in nature but should definitely go beyond the normal touch boundaries of a therapeutic massage, freely venturing and exploring inner thighs, groin, balls, cock and nips. Nudity would be the norm, in my opinion.
When MasseurFinder explicitly listed the 3 categories of massage, their Help section defined Sensual Massage as being sensual to the point of causing arousal, even sustained arousal, but in so many words — without a happy ending. They left the HE to be part of their Erotic Massage definition, saying EM goes beyond causing arousal — basically a Happy Ending.
IMHO I believe it’s acceptable to expect HE during erotic massage but one should never expect sex as part of it. That is more commonly escort territory and while many escorts advertise as masseurs, even then sex should not be assumed to be included in erotic massage hire. If a masseur decides to offer sex — oral or other — that’s their choice but sex should never be assumed as included.
As stated earlier, it’s best to ask the masseur so you can manage your expectations.

Had several sessions with him pre-covid.  His working space is nice - albeit a bit cold in the winter; there is a shared toilet room available to use.  He is definitely trained and can moderate the level of intensity.  All my sessions were draped, strictly therapeutic.

Had two massage with him over the years - 1st in VA beach area was therapeutic and he has good hands - combo deep tissue/swedish. It didn't go anywhere but probably due to my not requesting a sensual massage. 2nd was when he was traveling, he hosted at hotel; used table still has his skills but was combo therapeutic/sensual. MT/HE included. Pics are accurate. If he was in my area again I'd book another massage with him.

Had a session with Steve last week and would agree with what BuddyWorker wrote. Steve provides and very intense deep tissue session, I would put him on par with Chris https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/1261/ for the intensity and skill level. Friendly guy with a sense of humor and that view is amazing for sure.
