Here's a sample of my during opportunities in Puerto Vallarta this week: 
Hired: 
1. Massage, which included bareback fucking.  Paid 3000 pesos ($165 US)
2. Massage only.  Paid 900 pesos ($50 US).  Masseur asked if I wanted to suck his cock for 3500 pesos, I told him no thank you.  Then he asked if I wanted a happy ending for 2500 pesos, I told him no thank you. 
3.  2 hour massage and escort outcall.  Paid 3000 pesos ($165 US).  He reached out to me on Grindr 3 years ago, and I see him once or twice every visit. 
4.  1 hour escort with a stripper from Wet Dreams at my hotel.  Paid 2000 pesos ($110 US), plus Uber each way (150 pesos each way).  Included lots of kissing, oral, and bareback fucking.  He reached out to me on Grindr after seeing me in the Wet Dreams strip club. 
Turned down: 
A stripper at Wet Dreams wants 6000 pesos ($330 US) to come to my hotel, and a stripper from 69 wants 8000 pesos ($440 US) to come to my hotel.  Just to give you an idea of the price ranges out there.
In summary: my best hires have been men who reached out to me on Grindr.  I found a few others at massage parlors or strip clubs, but have turned down more offers than I've accepted at these places.

Yesterday I arrived in Puerto Vallarta for a week, and I popped in for a massage on Olas Altas on the block north of the Palm Cabaret.   I asked for a 90 minute massage and was quoted 1,000 Pesos (about $55 US) by a cute-enough young man.  The massage was one of the best I've had.

I offered him 2000 Pesos (about $110 US) at the end, and he asked for another 1000 Pesos.  I thought that was a bit high for Puerto Vallarta; but the deep tissue massage 💆‍♂️ was one of the best so I didn't argue and gave him the 3000 Pesos (about $165 US) for the massage and fucking (the fucking wasn't bad either 😊).
It was a great massage, but I'm not in a hurry to rush back to him at those prices, which are a bit high for Puerto Vallarta.  I have 7 more days on this holiday, so that's at least 7 more masseurs to try out this trip! 

I'm in Puerto Vallarta right now, and my previous description of dancers at each club no longer applies.  Both 69 and WetDreams have gorgeous muscle hunks, and not a Twink in site at either establishment.  This may change when busy season starts the week of Thanksgiving.
One thing does remain the same: the dancers at WetDreams are extremely aggressive, interrupting customers already involved with another dancer to ask them for tips.  I keep going to WetDreams for the sexy shower 🚿 setup, but enjoy 69 more for the atmosphere and customer service (waiters bring your drink to your seat, dancers respect when you're already talking with another dancer, dancers offer to wipe their cum off your lips, etc.)

In my experience in Puerto Vallarta, Wet Dreams is usually more twinkish than 69, and Anthropology is usually more middle-aged (30s) muscle than 69.  To me, 69 is the Goldilocks right in between.

How nice of a hotel are you looking at? You can get an apartment at Tropicus for ~$50 a night and it is literally a few steps from the strip clubs. It is literally in the center of Zona Romantica, so bring earplugs. It's great if all you're using it for is access to the strip clubs or for bringing a masseuse back to your place. But it is very much a two-star hotel and it shows. It's very safe though.

Ive had hot times at wet and 69.  My advice is don't jump at the first offer or chat.  Say you'll think about it.  On one hand as the the night goes on, they may come down in price, or if they circle back to me later in the night I;ll offer a lower price.  It also helps later in the night as the crowds start to thin out and if it's not a Friday or Saturday, you have more room to negotiate.  you do however risk the guy leaving early though.
I honestly don't think I've paid over 2000 pesos combined with the room, but will play the game and even revisit a day or two later. sometimes them seeing your face again they may be more inclined to negotiate.  

It really depends on the guy. Most of the guys at Wet will let you suck them. At 69 it is hit or miss. Some of the ones that are straight and wanting to do the bare minimum thing a private dance is just striping to their underwear and letting you watch them touch their semi-hard dick. At B-Mine is seems even the guys that are probably straight trade will let you suck them and get into it. It seems I end up paying them about. 1500-2000 peso tip when there is oral involved at Wet. Some of them will suck you, make out, let you suck them, eat their ass, offer to let you fuck them. Once there is penetration, we are looking at 4000 pesos. I have had a few come over before their shift or at other times and for 4000 pesos, have them in my place, jerk off together, suck them, eat their ass, have them straddle my face, jerk me off. A few engage in fucking, flip flop. I have had a few offer me their ass at the club to fuck but I don't like fucking in the booths for some reason. 

Very important to negotiate before going into a private dance. If the guy is newer and appears a little timid with being touched by other men, even if he is very flirtatious, you may get no action in the private dance and still expected to pay a big tip. I have had that happen a few times at 69. I have several guys I know well at this point so I often know what to expect from them and see them in and out of the club. It can be nice to just invite them over, pay for them to leave or meet up with them before the night begins and pay the same amount for one one one time in the comfort of your own bed. 
When I have a guy at my side all night at Wet or 69 or B-Mine, I buy them drinks all night but usually don't tip them all night and they seem fine with it. Usually it is because they are expecting a private dance at some point. Private dances are usually 600 pesos to enter at Wet, 500 at 69. I forget how it works at B-Mine. The tippers expect at least a 500 peso tip. If you have sex and you cum, they will want a 2000 to 4000 tip. Some of the more popular guys will insist on a tip closer to 4000. I have had some very hot experiences in the VIP with guys and not had to tip much more than 500-600 pesos. Depends on the guy, how new they are, how popular they are. 

So @12is12 some answers from me. But I will first admit that my “method” is totally subjective and has worked for me. It doesn’t work for other folks - some pay more, some pay less. I have my fun and if I don’t, then I move on and look forward to finding a muscleman to worship another day.
Of the two guys that kept me busy, one knew me well from a previous visit.  He is probably the closest thing to a bodybuilder in the bars at the time (I was there the weekend before Thanksgiving this visit). We had done a few private dances on the previous visit to PV and he knew me to be a very supportive patron inside and outside of the club - even after returning to the States. So, we have history.
The second was a young dancer that was new to me, although he said he had danced in PV for three years now but only for visits (he live in CDMX) for 3-4 weeks at a time.  He was young, adorable, muscular, and liked to flex so I was smitten. I noticed and then he started pointing out, that he did not typically spend a lot of time with individual patrons but usually liked to just keep getting up on the bar to dance and then make rounds to collect tips.  But that night he kept coming back to me cause we “got along” and for some reason he enjoyed me.  I am normally pretty respectful, asking before I touch anything private but once I have a green light, I enjoy the access.
My “method” in PV is that I tip in USD and I come with plenty of $1 and $5 bills.  I typically just keep slipping dollar bills in over and over. But because i know how much I bring i know I didn’t spend more than about $75 each on the two guys over the course of that few hours. I didn’t do any privates that night because I had spent plenty in other bars and was thinking I might enjoy more on Sunday.  
I did go back the next night and repeated as much, adding a couple of other guys into the rotation since the first (bigger) guy had another patron that was enjoying his company as well. So on the second night he jut came back and forth between me and his other patron.
Unlike other patrons and even members of this board, I do not typically do anything to sexual in public in PV. I will grope a penis and play with their erections, but I do not usually suck in public. I’ll kiss but not many dancers do that in public. I will suck in the private room and I have normally negotiated that with the dancer before going down there so i know what I can and can’t do before we ever get into the room. I would suggest you do as much so you’re not wasting your time talking when the clock is running…
This last visit I stayed at Hotel Eloisa which was nice and extremely convenient. One block off the beach, on the same street and two blocks down from these bars. My only issue is they, like other hotels, are very particular about allowing guests to your room.  Which in my brain is bullshit! I have also stayed in AirBnBs and while I loved the freedom of the coming and going, i would say choose well for location and convenience. 
As for the tipping for the stage shows, i just give them $1 and tell them thanks and then go back to the man that I am worshipping at the time.  The performers typically don’t linger out of respect for the dancer that I am engaging at the time.  Some of them try to come back by and get in for more tips since they can see that i am continuously stuffing dollar bills but if I am with someone I’m enjoying, I don’t even let them catch my eye so they have no reason to believe that I am going to pause and invite them in for the playtime…

Most of the dancers are not doctors; most don't have any formal university education.
Tip what you feel like, if it's too little, the dancer will leave.  After a pole or shower dance, I tipped 100 pesos (about $6 US) of I was actually watching the dance and the dancer got naked.  If the dancer just stood there in his underwear or Speedo, or if my back was turned to the show, I don't tip.  A few people tip more, many less or not all.
While a few dancers dressed as a firefighter or police officer during the dance, no one was dressed as a Lieutenant
My go-to gay hotel, Hotel Mercurio, closed last year.  Casa Cupula is gay and nice, but pricey.  Check out Pinata PV.  I haven't stayed, but it has a good central location and is gay men only.
Avoid Mantamar/Almar, it's gay in name-only.  Every person I've met who stayed there (myself included) complained of the pages of fees and the headache it was to bring a guest to your room.
I stay mostly at my timeshare closer to the airport and Uber into the Romantic Zone most evenings.  Try to find a hotel in the Romantic Zone with decent reviews and is not all-inclusive.

My rule of thumb is to pay a dancer about 1/2 his private dance rate to stay with me in public and grope/kiss/massage/caress/suck.
In the US where prices are typically $20-$25/song (3-5 minutes) for a private dance, I'll give the dancer $10/song to play with me publicly.  At 69, where the dancers are fully nude in public, I gave 200-500 pesos ($11-28 US) every 5-10 minutes.  In hindsight, I probably gave too much; because, it was impossible to get rid of a guy after I've had fun with him and was ready to move on to a new guy.  If I had paid less, perhaps they would have moved on.

I went back to 69 on Wednesday night, after visiting the shower shows again at Wet Dreams next door.  I like the slower Wednesday night compared to Saturday.  There was room to sit, and a dancer paid good attention to me for several hours.  Lots of hot men at 69, and they were a little less pushy than the men at Wet Dreams.
I avoided the private rooms tonight.  But I had plenty of non-private fun on the couch with a dancer on my arm/lap.

I am in Puerto Vallarta for the week, and stopped into the 3 strip clubs adjacent to each other on Saturday night: Wet Dreams, 69, and B Mine. 
Wet Dreams was standing room only, and no one in the shower when I entered, so I quickly left for 69.

At B Mine, there was a wide assortment of guys but the only one I found attractive was covered head to toe in tattoos, which is not my cup of tea.  I left and went home having visited 3 strip clubs and not tipping a single stripper: a first for me.

That's on the dancer, unfortunately. I've had dancers hold off on privates because they'll tell me they're about to perform. They'll do their rounds with the tips and then go freshen up, change and even put on a little cologne. Those are the guys that I give fat tips to

Those who have been to PV recently, would you say one of the bars is more likely to have “muscle” or even bodybuilders for the entertainment? I haven’t been in PV in a while and I bounced back and forth just looking for the good muscle!
Planning on being there between Christmas and NYE.  I’ve been going to Johnson’s FTL for the last several years for my holiday play but I thought I’d try something different this year. I’m so looking forward to having some muscle to play with in the clubs!

I respectfully disagree.  When in Puerto Vallarta I pay in pesos.  The boys are happy to be tipped 20 pesos (little more than 1 U.S. dollar) and 10 minute private dances start at 500 pesos (little more than 25 U.S. dollars).  I can get escorts to my room for 1000-2000 pesos (50 to 100 U.S. dollars).  I have been going every year for 6 years, and have regulars who welcome me with open arms when I walk into 69.   Sure, I can pay more and get more, but I'm happy with the level of service these men provide for the prices they ask.

Made a trip to PV recently, and spent time at Club 69. It’s a 2 level club, with the 2nd level overlooking the 1st floor area where the guys dance. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and I felt very safe there. 
 
The dancers were generally muscle guys, and were very “friendly” (looking for tips and private dances) but didn’t cross the line if you said no. I’ve heard the other places in PV can be pushier and even problematic. 
I brought lots of $1 usd bills each night, and was able to have a whole bunch of fun on the first floor couches and 2nd floor viewing area with a number of my favorites. 
 
The private show area includes three private rooms downstairs. You pay the house 500 pesos for the room (about $27 usd) plus whatever you pay the guy.  I had lots of fun with Adan for another 1500 pesos ($81 usd). 
 
With so many clubs in the USA having closed, I was glad to see the strip club scene is alive and well in PV.  I’ll try out some of the other places in my next trip.
