I went for the first time in many, many months last night at Side Door and actually had a nice time. Much smaller group of dancers, maybe 6. yes, the strippers in PV are all saying it is slow. I have seen some photos of Wet completely empty. Some are talking about leaving for CDMX since they cannot earn enough with the drop in tourism. 

Just returned from four nights in PVR - completely easy to get around as tourist traffic still hasn’t picked up.  Good news is visits to 69 and Wet Dreams made meeting the dancers easy.  However, there were fewer customers, so I could barely take a sip of my cocktail before another dancer was asking for a shower tip or private dance.  Both were fun!

All is actually quiet now, though tourism will take a hit for a while. Which was one point of the cartel attack - a power play against the government.

I have been in touch with several of my stripper friends down in PV. They are all safe but worried about the hit on the economy and went without much food yesterday. To answer the question about private dances, I have no specific advice about how to get more service in privates but it has never been hard for me to get what I want. It helps to be a repeat customer and to suggest you may want more to happen in the private prior to going back and paying for your booth. I have been amazed by the range of guys, from muscled twunks, to rough trade-looking guys, to physically perfect muscle gods that get on their knees or offer up their ass. I do feel like 69 attracts my guys who just want to get blown. Wet seems to have a range of boys that are willing to do more but I also seem to know them better and that may be a part of it.

Turned down: 
A stripper at Wet Dreams wants 6000 pesos ($330 US) to come to my hotel, and a stripper from 69 wants 8000 pesos ($440 US) to come to my hotel.  Just to give you an idea of the price ranges out there.
In summary: my best hires have been men who reached out to me on Grindr.  I found a few others at massage parlors or strip clubs, but have turned down more offers than I've accepted at these places.

Yesterday I arrived in Puerto Vallarta for a week, and I popped in for a massage on Olas Altas on the block north of the Palm Cabaret.   I asked for a 90 minute massage and was quoted 1,000 Pesos (about $55 US) by a cute-enough young man.  The massage was one of the best I've had.

It was a great massage, but I'm not in a hurry to rush back to him at those prices, which are a bit high for Puerto Vallarta.  I have 7 more days on this holiday, so that's at least 7 more masseurs to try out this trip! 

I'm in Puerto Vallarta right now, and my previous description of dancers at each club no longer applies.  Both 69 and WetDreams have gorgeous muscle hunks, and not a Twink in site at either establishment.  This may change when busy season starts the week of Thanksgiving.
One thing does remain the same: the dancers at WetDreams are extremely aggressive, interrupting customers already involved with another dancer to ask them for tips.  I keep going to WetDreams for the sexy shower 🚿 setup, but enjoy 69 more for the atmosphere and customer service (waiters bring your drink to your seat, dancers respect when you're already talking with another dancer, dancers offer to wipe their cum off your lips, etc.)

In my experience in Puerto Vallarta, Wet Dreams is usually more twinkish than 69, and Anthropology is usually more middle-aged (30s) muscle than 69.  To me, 69 is the Goldilocks right in between.

How nice of a hotel are you looking at? You can get an apartment at Tropicus for ~$50 a night and it is literally a few steps from the strip clubs. It is literally in the center of Zona Romantica, so bring earplugs. It's great if all you're using it for is access to the strip clubs or for bringing a masseuse back to your place. But it is very much a two-star hotel and it shows. It's very safe though.

Ive had hot times at wet and 69.  My advice is don't jump at the first offer or chat.  Say you'll think about it.  On one hand as the the night goes on, they may come down in price, or if they circle back to me later in the night I;ll offer a lower price.  It also helps later in the night as the crowds start to thin out and if it's not a Friday or Saturday, you have more room to negotiate.  you do however risk the guy leaving early though.
I honestly don't think I've paid over 2000 pesos combined with the room, but will play the game and even revisit a day or two later. sometimes them seeing your face again they may be more inclined to negotiate.  

It really depends on the guy. Most of the guys at Wet will let you suck them. At 69 it is hit or miss. Some of the ones that are straight and wanting to do the bare minimum thing a private dance is just striping to their underwear and letting you watch them touch their semi-hard dick. At B-Mine is seems even the guys that are probably straight trade will let you suck them and get into it. It seems I end up paying them about. 1500-2000 peso tip when there is oral involved at Wet. Some of them will suck you, make out, let you suck them, eat their ass, offer to let you fuck them. Once there is penetration, we are looking at 4000 pesos. I have had a few come over before their shift or at other times and for 4000 pesos, have them in my place, jerk off together, suck them, eat their ass, have them straddle my face, jerk me off. Very important to negotiate before going into a private dance. If the guy is newer and appears a little timid with being touched by other men, even if he is very flirtatious, you may get no action in the private dance and still expected to pay a big tip. I have had that happen a few times at 69. I have several guys I know well at this point so I often know what to expect from them and see them in and out of the club. It can be nice to just invite them over, pay for them to leave or meet up with them before the night begins and pay the same amount for one one one time in the comfort of your own bed. 
When I have a guy at my side all night at Wet or 69 or B-Mine, I buy them drinks all night but usually don't tip them all night and they seem fine with it. Usually it is because they are expecting a private dance at some point. Private dances are usually 600 pesos to enter at Wet, 500 at 69. I forget how it works at B-Mine. The tippers expect at least a 500 peso tip. If you have sex and you cum, they will want a 2000 to 4000 tip. Some of the more popular guys will insist on a tip closer to 4000. I have had some very hot experiences in the VIP with guys and not had to tip much more than 500-600 pesos. Depends on the guy, how new they are, how popular they are. 

So @12is12 some answers from me. But I will first admit that my “method” is totally subjective and has worked for me. It doesn’t work for other folks - some pay more, some pay less. I have my fun and if I don’t, then I move on and look forward to finding a muscleman to worship another day.

My “method” in PV is that I tip in USD and I come with plenty of $1 and $5 bills.  I typically just keep slipping dollar bills in over and over. But because i know how much I bring i know I didn’t spend more than about $75 each on the two guys over the course of that few hours. I didn’t do any privates that night because I had spent plenty in other bars and was thinking I might enjoy more on Sunday.  
I did go back the next night and repeated as much, adding a couple of other guys into the rotation since the first (bigger) guy had another patron that was enjoying his company as well. So on the second night he jut came back and forth between me and his other patron.
Unlike other patrons and even members of this board, I do not typically do anything to sexual in public in PV. I will grope a penis and play with their erections, but I do not usually suck in public. I’ll kiss but not many dancers do that in public. I will suck in the private room and I have normally negotiated that with the dancer before going down there so i know what I can and can’t do before we ever get into the room. I would suggest you do as much so you’re not wasting your time talking when the clock is running…
This last visit I stayed at Hotel Eloisa which was nice and extremely convenient. One block off the beach, on the same street and two blocks down from these bars. My only issue is they, like other hotels, are very particular about allowing guests to your room.  Which in my brain is bullshit! I have also stayed in AirBnBs and while I loved the freedom of the coming and going, i would say choose well for location and convenience. 
As for the tipping for the stage shows, i just give them $1 and tell them thanks and then go back to the man that I am worshipping at the time.  The performers typically don’t linger out of respect for the dancer that I am engaging at the time.  Some of them try to come back by and get in for more tips since they can see that i am continuously stuffing dollar bills but if I am with someone I’m enjoying, I don’t even let them catch my eye so they have no reason to believe that I am going to pause and invite them in for the playtime…
