Haha. Heck no, that's not inviting. If it were me, I wouldn't respond to him. Sort of reminds me of the wording in Jockboy Jackson's ad. While I have never negotiated rates with someone his wording is a turnoff to me. Who wants to hang out with someone who comes across as hostile, miserable, etc!?!

I think that was a good move. We have a monitored alarm system (includes smoke/fire) as well as cameras covering the interior and outside. Big piece of mind. The cameras aren't integrated with the alarm that's monitored - which (I think) would be creepy as a part of my mind would assume someone was watching. I like being alerted if there is activity or being able to check whenever I want. Canary is one set of cameras and they've upgraded the software to identify a person versus (for example) a pet. Security systems, cameras, etc. have become very cost effective. The cost is minor compared to the deductible on our policies, the inconvenience of theft and/or relying on a neighbor to call in a fire. As as you said, set up is easy. I think everyone should have a system - and no, you don't need to constantly upgrade the equipment.

I shy away from guys that have gotten so big they're eligible for their own zip code. Or those with so much ink looking at their tattoos is like reading a newspaper or looking at a map.

You might cash in your policy and invest it. With the just passed Tax Bill and the eventual deficit caused by it Medicare will no doubt be attacked and chipped into. Social Security may also be on the chopping block. If you rely on either of those I would never be too confident of your assets.

I somewhat admire people who have stayed with a flip phone. I like the compact size of them but have a smartphone for the convenience of what it offers. I used to upgrade regularly but I'll wait to shell out nearly $1,000 for the latest iPhone until I absolutely have to. Yes, I like iPhones but their pricing has become insulting. Does Apple not realize they are a public company whose profitability and cash hoard is easily seen? Not to mention of course the amount of US taxes Apple evaded for many years. Maybe the latest Blackberry next time - nice look to them. I have cut the leash with my smartphone though and if I'm at dinner with someone who keeps looking at theirs, the dinner will end early (I ask them first though to please put their phone away). A not for profit I'm involved in has some ancient people in it. One asked me to call her if I'm going to send an email she needs to see because she rarely looks at her account - nope - not going to do that. I have to keep reminding some people that they shouldn't expect a response to an email they send anyone in less than 24 hours. If something is important - call the person! A friend of mine complained because there was a water leak in the basement of her condo building and she was annoyed the property management company hadn't responded to her email of one hour ago! Really?

I think sports teams eliminating paper tickets is one way to reduce scalping. I don't know how scalpers sell if tickets are primarily electronic. I hadn't been to a baseball game in a while and was going to skip out of work early one weekday. A not so great seat was $70. I can afford that and more but really? I skipped the game and added another $100 to one of the animal rescue charities I donate to every month.

One of our local colleges used to have a fund raising car wash each year. Complete with shirtless guys. They raised a ton of money. I don't know why they stopped. It should be a requirement for graduation

Did you move into Trump tower? That process sounds ridiculous. Can you meet a guest in front of the building and get them upstairs without their ID being swiped into an electronic record?

Had this happen some years ago with a then very popular guy from San Francisco. He was in DC and I go to his hotel, knock, no answer. I call get voicemail. Turn around and head to the elevator, my phone rings. Escort apologizes, says he was running an errand and less than five minutes away. Nearly 15 minutes later he shows up with shopping bags. I should not have waited but I did as he hand decent reviews. Well the experience was mediocre at best.

Our truncated session got cut even further. He was sharing the room with another well known SFO escort who had a client and they were waiting in the lobby. So we have to finish up and leave so the other escort and client can have their session. The four of us passed in the lobby. Escort and I make quick plans to at least have a drink to extend the time of his company.

Escort’s phone rings, his escort roommate says his client wants them both for his session. My escort apologizes and heads upstairs for the session with the other client. I left unfulfilled and pissed to say the least. The escort didn’t even offer to lower his fee.

This was in my early days of hiring. I was still learning the client ropes and new to this site. Today, if an escort were not to answer his door I’d be down the elevator and on the way home in milliseconds.

You should look on the positive side of this incident. The escort saved you several hundred dollars by no showing. You likely avoided a lousy experience.

NEW YORK CITY (FOX5NY) - With the summer travel season fast approaching, gas prices are on the rise but some people are getting sticker shock in Manhattan.

Regular gas has hit $5 a gallon at at least one station. A Mobil station on 11th Ave. in Hell's Kitchen has raised its prices to $4.999 a gallon. That's well above the current average for the five boroughs.

My car makes a noise if I open the door while the engine is running. If I close the door from the outside with the fob with me, it makes a different noise and the horn sounds. I am against the automatic shutoff because I sometimes, in warm months, leave the engine running/air conditioner/radio on with my dog inside the car. Sometimes I have to go into a store which doesn't allow dogs and I'm sure as heck not going to let my dog be uncomfortable. I have a sign I put on the dash advising people the engine/air conditioner are running so they don't break the glass. I also have my cell number on the sign. My state, rightfully, enacted a law that holds a good samaritan free from legal jeopardy if they break a cars window to rescue an animal. There are a few steps they need to take first but nothing time consuming.

For good reason none of us are going to make excuses for what he was convicted of. However I do feel sorry for a physically healthy person to decide that something is so bad they have to take their own life. Maybe in this case its because he thought of the conditions in American prisons - among the worst in the world. The punishment is time in prison - there shouldn't be the added punishments of assault and other events. There's a position in between country club conditions (those no longer exist) and daily fight clubs and gang control.

Since its a safety/airbag issue the dealer may make necessary repairs at no cost. You might try calling the manufacturer directly and asking. Even though the car is out of warranty for you I'd be surprised if any dealer or manufacturer wants to expose themselves to litigation if a crash occurred and the airbag didn't work. Winning a lawsuit is one thing but the bad publicity is something they want to avoid. I've never had an auto repair that wasn't quoted in advance so I could decide whether the cost was acceptable or not - in some (maybe all) states that's a law.

    1. Allow Service DOGS. Put a vest on it. I think 99% of people understand and respect the need and the law covering those animals. My opinion is too many Emotional support animals are bogus.
    2. Small dog that fits under the seat in a carrier. Leave it in the carrier from the moment you board until you get off.
    3. Improve the conditions and service for flying pets that don't fall under 1 and 2. Charge appropriately and make sure I don't hear about any pets dying along the way because they didn't have water or appropriate temperatures. I don't want to read about someone losing their pet while it was in the airlines possession.

You're overthinking this. She tried to game the system and she lost.

Now, it's putting a gigantic spotlight on people who abuse this on a regular basis, hopefully causing some change in policy and making it near-impossible for very large dogs and odd animals to be carried onto a small flying tube in the future.

I think that pig carrying pic is photoshopped. The pig looks to big to carry and if it was being carried it would show more stress against the woman's body.
