HK’s gallery is pretty helpful. There’s no other spa that displays their masseurs’ photos

I met Kevin (176 cm tall) at a spa next to me on Lexington Ave. He is very strong and muscular, very masculine-looking — like walking testosterone. His massage technique started light and gradually became deeper, awakening every inch of my body. Especially during the oil massage on my lower body, my physical response was very pleasurable.I just walked into what looked like a regular massage shop on the street and unexpectedly met a massage talent. The sign outside said $55 for 90 minutes, but in the end I paid $100 total and gave a $45 tip. I originally just wanted a normal muscle relaxation massage, but ended up experiencing something completely different.
It’s not a men’s spa — totally a different kind of experience. I only saw two male massage therapists working inside.

Quick update for everyone: with today’s weather in NYC (heavy snow, that gross sleet mix, and genuinely sketchy travel conditions), we’re going to be closed today so nobody has to risk getting stuck, sliding around, or turning a simple appointment into an extreme sport.
The safety of our clients and our guys comes first. Thanks for understanding. This weather has been absolutely wild lately, and we’ll post again as soon as things clear up and it’s safe to reopen.

I’m not sure why Why Not rarely gets a mention, but I had a good experience yesterday with Dan. I feel like it’ll get even better once we’re more accustomed to each other. I’ll definitely go back.

Enrico is one of my favorite therapists in Chicago. Complete package in my book. Skilled in multiple modalities, genuinely nice and caring, and very handsome. YMMV but I always leave happy. Highly recommend.

Agree with others’ comments - Peter’s great. Have seen him multiple times. Great technique, very relaxing, skilled legit massage. As some have experienced, was offered upsell on initial visit but not required on subsequent visits (I tip well, but get the impression he wouldn’t charge even if I just tipped average). Great body and MT/HE. Highly recommend.

I tried All Seasons on 9th and 42nd/43rd (mixed staff, and they had at least 3 male masseurs). I previously had been to Four Seasons on 9th and 47th/48th a couple of times (they have at least 2 male masseurs).
Four Seasons has consistently given purely therapeutic treatment with not much sensual touch and about as much pressure as you want. All Seasons was the opposite. If you want a more soothing, light touch and to leave happy, they may be a better option (obviously YMMV).

Agree on these especially in points #2 and #5. It’s a proper question to ask if the photos are recent. If they don’t reply back, then move on.

I don’t think that’s always true. Often guys, like me, are legitimately looking for info on providers who don’t have many reviews on the sites or here. I know that Chicago providers often don’t get the number of reviews as ones from NYC or LA.

Frince reacted to Kregger52 in Should I post my exhaustive reviews of LA masseurs?
Hi all Kregger52 here! Thanks for the feedback I will put my notes in order asap.
Here are also some thoughts on years of hiring masseurs:
Many of the guys who do massage are simply untrained and inexperienced grifters taking advantage of your dollar.  They advertise on Masseurfinder and Rentmasseur and seem legit with great reviews.   In some cases the only way to find out who these guys are is to experience them yourself.  Even reviews on here can be inaccurate.
The number of guys currently advertising in LA on Rentmasseur who fall into this category is unfortunately rather large.  Buyer beware.
    Some tips:
    1. Porn stars and professional escorts are often terrible masseurs. The worst.  I hired a big porn star a couple years ago who was visiting LA and assumed he knew what he was doing.  It was the worst massage I'd ever had. Avoid.
    2. A surprising number of masseurs are still advertising with old and inaccurate photos of themselves.  I just got burned last week by this.  Ask if their pics are recent, and how recent. If they seem put off by your question, move on.
    3. Certification means nothing. I've had licensed masseurs give terrible massages and unlicensed masseurs give great ones.
    4.  The younger the masseur, the worse the massage.  I've splurged several times on crazy hot guys who where in their early 20s.  Awful every time.
    5. Avoid any foreign masseurs visiting your city or who recently moved to your city. Yes Russian and Brazilian guys can be hot but they are often the worst of the worst.  Ask where they are from and how long they've been doing massage.  If their English is bad, avoid at all costs.
    6. Never book a masseur who asks you for your pic "for safety reasons" or other reasons.
    7. Any masseur who advertises his use of "luxurious essential oils" must be avoided like the plague.
Ok stay tuned for my reviews!

I remember several of these spas fondly.
Babylon was where I first met August, who moved to 27MS after Babylon closed (or maybe a little before it closed?).
Moon Boy was indeed the name of the place on 25th off 6th. I remember it being Moon Boy in contrast to Sunny Boy on 27th, before it changed to 27MS and then moved to the other end of the block to its current location.
I don't recall the name of the place on Lex at 28th but I remember my experiences there very well. They advertised on Craigslist. I used to get a massage there and then go across the street to an Indian restaurant for lunch or dinner. I never went to the other spa nearby though. I believe that one opened afterwards (or marketed its itself to the gay community afterwards) and I felt loyal to the first place.
A few more no longer with us:
Top Men Spa (35th and 7th, I believe)
    Hero (50th and 9th?)
    Grandee (56th and 8th)
    28 Mens Spa (28th and 6th)
Alpha Male (west side/midtown - I don't recall the cross streets as I only went once or twice?)
New Yorker on 6th between 30th and 31st.
24 Chelsea Spa on 24th off of 9th Ave (not to be confused with Chelsea Men's Spa on 29th and 6th).
There was a "bodywork" spa in the basement just north of 14th St (not sure if it was 15th , 16th, etc.) and I think they had another location with the same name in HK on 10th Ave?
There was a place on 57th St, maybe between Lex and 3rd? Lots of older, muscular Asian masseurs there. That was probably about 15 years ago. It was one of the first HE type spa I every experienced.
There was one on E 53rd, maybe between 3rd and 2nd Ave? Can't remember the name though.
And there was a spa near Grand Central, not far from the old Shangri La, except this was in an office building. It always felt a little strange to go to this location with so many "legit" workspaces just down the hall.
