That reminds me of the horror that Edward Albee put his actors through when he was involved in the production of any of his plays. In rehearsal, he'd never allow an actor to drop a line. Ever. You would just have to pause and wait until they remembered what they were going to say. No prompt. And Albee would sit there, with his damned cup of tea and just stare. -

Agree. Iceman wasn't his strongest suit. He may be blackballed at the moment, but Kevin Spacey gave a definitive performance in his Iceman. It was electric. -
The NYT found a lot of unintended comedy. That's usually not a good thing. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/18/theater/afterglow-play-review.html When a playwright has to inject a lot of nudity into the show, it always makes me wonder about the overall quality of script.

Minnelli is her own performer, equally as talented... an EGOT. Not many can call themselves that. Zellweger is a fine actress, but her voice was sweetened a lot in Chicago. CZJ stole that film and deservedly so. She was the only true hoofer there. We care because it's the recreation of someone's life that we enjoyed/admired/etc.

I'm still worried that she's doing her own singing. Perhaps they'll just sweeten her up with Garland's real vocals as a lead.

Additional realistic perspective: Crime rates are higher in many major US cities than throughout Mexico. That's not to say you shouldn't exercise caution when needed, but certainly don't live in manufactured fear. However, for some people, staying at home in their rocking chair is truly the best bet.

An Amazon-produced series that's well-written and perfectly cast. I confused it with a costume dramedy for the first fifteen minutes, but then wow. Mexico is taking it in the chops right now. The US media seems to be doing day-to-day reports on the cartel. I just got back from San Miguel De Allende and was in Playa Del Carmen last month: I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Don't let these things dissuade you from visiting places you've never been. Mexico is a stunningly beautiful country.

EXACTLY. A fraud trainer is quickly found out. From the first workout, it's not tough to tell if they have a clue as to how to work you out based on your existing fitness level. More than that, it's also not tough to tell if they're using steroids to achieve the body they've got. I don't play well with trainers who juice their way to 'health'
