The self-preservation instinct is a good one. Too few seem to have it these days. If you're at risk, stay put and isolate. Escorts will always be around.

Hiring is not at a standstill. While I'm not doing anything short term, I know guys who are still keeping busy local schedules.

COVID-19 impacting your business?
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to Otto's topic in Questions About Hiring
Sorta. Depending on what you buy and how well-versed you are with market trends. Buying low is always good advice. And it's low... And getting lower. It is, however, not a good time to buy and try to quickly flip. You're going to need some financial legs to profit right now. -
I once tried phone sex, but had an incredibly tough time fitting the whole receiver in his ass

I feel like this was a 'two to tango' situation. Part of a good escort's job is to be a great communicator: While this was potentially an annoyance, it's HOW an escort handles it that separates him from the pack. This was handled badly. You don't take your bad days out on your clients. You don't wake up on the wrong side of the bed when you've got someone sleeping next to you. And on the flipside, as a client, just stick to the plan until you can't. Then be up-front about it. ... And no, this isn't the new normal. There are a ton of escorts out there who don't behave like this.

Do you mean this Linda Eder?

I support this, as long as we have different famous people take turns doing the reading. Yeah, he's been dead since 2009, but I vote Walter Cronkite for the first voice.

You're right, I need to finish this shit and get it posted. It's been a minute. I've been self-isolating in a very small Texas beach town, enjoying the salt life and in wonderement I've somehow got a 1GB connection at this house.

I reply to almost every email. It may have been lost in translation. Did you send it within the last day? I've been in a car for the better part of 8 hours. My apologies if I missed it.

Does anyone use Rentmen messenger?
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
I find that some guys who contact me using RM's messenger aren't following-up using private email. However... I'm not changing that, as the relentless back-and-forth of an IM system is not something I'm willing to put up with. -
I just want to know if you went biz casual up top, but remained pants-free below

Bringing guests to my hotel room in Mexico City?
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to Ichabod's topic in The Americas
Agreed. CDMX and other cities in Mexico have fantastic health care. This is a valid question. -
No politics in The Lounge. You're going to get this thread moved.

How about a solution for those who want/like ink, but also don't want it for life? https://inkbox.com/ I've actually used these for clients, as well as for fun. They look 100% natural, come in a wide variety of pre-fab designs and even offer a freehand tool for those who are artistic enough to do their own work. Full disclosure: I once tried to do my own design with their pen. I am neither an artist, nor great with straight lines. It ended up very humorous, looking like I had been day-drinking and decided to scribble on my leg.

Coronavirus & escorting? Prospects?
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to + tassojunior's topic in The Lounge
Everyone has their own 'line in the sand' as to what they'll do to survive. And no, these desperate decisions don't always make sense to me. -
If you didn't put a freeze on it, they can (contractually) still bill you. Be proactive. Never wait for someone else to make the first move, especially when it comes to your money

Dallas: Eateries, bars, clubs, theaters, gyms, closed-confined spaces... As of midnight tonight, all closed until further notice. It's the cities who are saying 'we haven't had a reported case and are fine with using wipes on doorknobs' that are the problem. They think it won't happen to them. It will. That's how a pandemic works. We need to slow people down now.

Using that logic, with HIV unresolved and still killing 700,000+ people a year, hasn't the time for 'crisis management' really long since passed? Let's not lose our heads: This is not the time to attempt to divide a community.

Coronavirus & escorting? Prospects?
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to + tassojunior's topic in The Lounge
This is why this will continue to spread. People who have no financial buffer and can't afford to stop, not even for the greater good. Also, within the 'travel deal' and frequent flier communities, there are many who are continuing to fly wherever they can still go. Vegas still has casinos open and are attracting tourists. Key West is attempting to minimize this and keep spring breakers coming in. It's gross. People are their own worst enemy. Unless there's a forced full-stop, a fool and his health are soon parted. -
My concern is for those who are HIV+ and undiagnosed. Corona will beat the shit out of their already-compromised immune systems. Now, more than ever, we need to make sure people know their status.

True. I can't disagree with the basic idea of that. But... When your story is filmed and shared with the world in an attempt to gain Insta followers (and likely monetization), that entitles everyone else to comment. There's having a story and then there's putting on a show

Let me correct you... He's a man at that age. Not a boy. And that's part of the problem. Many in the gay community never figure out how to really become good, solid men. Agreed.
