Took a friend to see “Boop”. For me, it was my 2nd time. Had excellent seats which made a big difference. Originally, they had a Thursday matinee but now it’s back to Wednesday. If the rumors are true that it’s closing the end of June and you enjoy musical comedies, I’d suggest seeing it. You’ll hear some amazing voices as each lead actor gets a solo number. The story is fun & mesmerizing.

@TonyDown, Yes, if you add $25,000 or more to an existing savings account at Citibank you will earn 4.35% on the entire account for 3 months. Plus, any additional funds added during those 3 months will also received the higher interest. And, no penalty for early withdrawals. With interest rates slowly moving down, I’d check to make sure 4.35% is still the going rate. My 3 months ends in July.

When HERO Spa was raided it reopened after 2 weeks. The undercover cops were only checking the masseurs’ licenses. Apparently, you don’t need a license if you only offer “body rubs/works”. (That’s what I was told but it might have changed). As a result the owner had to pay a fine and they were back in business. Unlike this recent raid, no illegal services were reported and the customers there during the raid were just told to get dressed and leave. Yes, I was there at the time and overheard there was an anonymous call made to the NYPD. The manager believed it was one of his competitors who made the call.

I was a fan of the TV show SMASH, so, I was looking forward to seeing it on Broadway. If you know the plot it’s about the making of a musical comedy called “Bombshell”, the life of Marilyn Monroe. You get to witness the rehearsals, meet the people behind the scenes, and get involved with all the drama they face and there’s a lot. The show opens with an excellent and well choreographed dance number. Yes, sit close as there are some hot looking young men performing. From there we get introduced to the many cast members. All I found to be most talented and likable. The feud between the actors wanting to play Marilyn gives the audience an opportunity to hear each one’s amazing voice. Fortunately, the show has a happy ending. And, it isn’t till the ending that you find out why the show is called “SMASH”. The show has it all. Good singing, dancing, amazing cast, and humor. Even a happy ending for the producer. I found it very entertaining! I LoL during the laxative scene and found the old woman a hoot. The kiss scene between the 2 men was priceless. It’s an easy ticket to get. If you have TDF you can order one for $60. The show runs 2hrs 30min, with an intermission. Rest rooms are large and the line moves quickly. The matinee performance I saw was a full house. On a personal note, I live in NY, so, I see a lot of shows. Some good, some bad. If you’re visiting NY and want to see a musical, keep in mind there are better choices than this. IMO, “Boop” might be a better choice.

@TonyDown, Not sure if you were aware of this but Citibank offers an alternative to saving accounts without adding “new money”. After 3 months my 4.35% interest ended and the bank asked me if I wanted to add more “new money” to get the higher rate for 3 more months. I asked if there were other programs available as I didn’t want to add any new money to my savings account. He told me I could earn a 3.85% interest for 3 months on my existing savings account without adding any new money. No penalties for withdrawals. Sounded good to me and I did it. Sure beats those very low rates on regular savings accounts.
