I remember years ago going grocery shopping on either the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve, for some stuff I needed. Never again. What a zoo, so many people doing the same thing. The checkout lines were ALL open and so long. Since then I do an inventory the week before to make sure I have everything I need on hand.

I've slept naked since I was 15 and a friend teased me when I mentioned I wore pajamas. I found out later he wears underwear to bed. I have a nightshirt but it's more evening lounge wear, when I actually go to bed I take everything off.

When I was in college I had a friend who was into astrology and did readings based on your actual birth date/time, rather than just the general "You're a Pisces" type readings. We proposed an experiment where I'd give her two date/times, one mine, one made up; she would cast a horoscope based on both, give them to me & my friends without identifying which was which, and they'd see if either described me more accurately than the other. Sadly, she never got around to actually casting them.

Not thanksgiving, but one year my sister broke with our turkey tradition for Christmas and made Apple Walnut Chicken. I was picking up my other sister and her husband from the airport. Their flight had many many delays so the family was at my sisters house for hours until they touched down and we got to the house. After opening presents, my older sister announced that since "everyone" had been filling up on hors hors d'oeuvres, she was going to skip dinner & put the chicken away for another day. My travelling sister, her husband and I didn't get anything. My mother was aghast, but as is my family's way, she said nothing and we complained about it later.

In 7th grade, my father took me to a 'facts of life' program held one evening at school, boys in one room, girls in another. On the awkward drive home, Dad asked if I had any questions, I said no. That was it. I don't remember any specific details of the presentation but I have to say my ideas of how sex worked prior to that were totally wrong.

I have three or four boxes of Hallmark ornaments, mostly Star Trek and superhero oriented, but it's been four or five years since I've actually put up a tree. When I did put up a tree it was always a real tree.
