Well, I did see the bridesmaid's letter on Dear Abby's site. That's not to say someone's not pulling one over on Dear Abby. That was a thing with Ann Landers, a lot of Yale students had fun writing outrageous made-up letters to see if she'd publish them.

Survivor: Healers, Heroes, Hustlers

The editing plays a BIG part in the show. Not sure if I'm remembering the names right, but at the reunion show for S3/Africa, Kim said something about how the editing made Lex look crazy and unlikeable; that everyone on the show actually really liked him. -
if I can beat @friendofsheila to the Miss Manners reference this time :-) her first book included a letter from a bride about the groom's brother, in the wedding party, who at the time had a wild purple Mohawk hairdo. Miss Manners told her that she could dictate clothing, but that was about it; and that the Mohawk would give them something to laugh about in the wedding pictures in the future. My dad emailed my sister (in her late 40's then) wanting to have a discussion about her (incomprehensible-to-him) support for Obama. She declined. Past experience, and the email itself, made her certain that he was not at all interested in hearing her side. And she's politically pretty experienced, she worked on one of Gore's campaigns.

I had no idea Mark Gatiss was gay.

and another I found while googling Monte...

Monte Crown, a Colt model - I first saw him in the early 90's. Call me old, but...I tend to go in at 9:00, since that's when the dancers "officially" start, but it's often not until 10:00 that they actually do get up on stage. I try not to be there past midnight. Getting harder to recover in the mornings...

Perfect examples @Oliver, thank you :-)

They haven't said it explicitly, but little Ryan sets off my gaydar big time. Agree about Alan being a bit scary, he came off crazy in the first tribal council. There's the persistent rumor that one of the guys first voted off in Australia (season 2), Kel, was caught masturbating early on in the game. Silas from season 3 (Africa) remains my favorite There also appear to be a lot of VPL's going on. Ryan seems to be packing, and I'd swear they were pixellating out Devin when he was just in his underwear. -
Finally, a good example of classification, stealing pics from Oliver's post above... this is a bulge. Very nicely filled out, but no clear indication of, um, whether he's dressing on the right or the left... This is a VPL, a very obvious one... and this is a "hey, that's just his dick" :-) another bulge... another VPL...

This is the spa in NYC you're talking about, right? http://www.lfmensspa.com/

Yeah, I'm sure I've had sex with Republicans before, but politics rarely comes up in the bedroom/bathhouse/wherever for me. Grayson mentions it several times in his ad, I get the feeling he's the type who'll bring it up in every conversation. Kind of like my sister's in-laws.

I can't find the long-standing "Survivor" thread, so starting a new one. The good-looking guy factor is pretty high on this one. I've never been much of one for redheads but between Patrick on this season (and Mad Sweeney on "American Gods"), I'm starting to come around. Anyone else watching?

Just to be practical - probably not, since Josh hasn't posted since July.

I bought some boots like that (probably not as heavy duty) for my dog after I got an inflatable pool for her to swim in. The one time I put them on her, she walked around like it was her first time in high heels.

I want. What was that thread where someone said they thought hairy chests on twinky guys just looked silly?
-
I love that it looks like a bottle of poppers. Frankly, thought, from the description it sounds like I'd hate it. I have bought cologne strictly on the basis of the model they were using in the ads; I forget what it was, but it was horrible. It reminded me of old lady hairspray. I think I gave it away to a guy I hired who liked it. Wish I could remember the name, it was a lovely hairy-chested model in the ads.

Do You Remember The First Time You Had Sex And With Whom?

A friend told me about "Lucid Dreaming", I bought a book on it with the express intent of seeing if I could make myself have more erotic dreams. I never finished the book, no more so than I did "Meditation for Dummies". -
How do you celebrate your pets birthday ?

Not mocking you at all. In all seriousness, there's not a lot I won't do for my dog. I've always been a dog person, but in the two years that I've been the person actually responsible for the dog (as opposed to a dog the family owned); wow, it's like some insane howler monkey ran through my brain and switched all the circuit breakers on. Youtube videos about dogs make me cry, dog rescue / shelter commercials are even worse. And changing topic completely, cheese fries sound wonderful. -
I had no idea there was a new Tina Fey series, I just set it up (and the new Will & Grace) to record.

The kindergartener down the street loves dogs. She knew my dog's name well before she knew mine, and always greets her with a hug. Her mother told me that she wanted a dog party for her birthday this year, I'm not sure if it actually worked out that way. I'm thinking not because I'm *certain* we're her favorite dog, and we didn't get an invitation :-D -

There are some dog-specific ice creams (FrostyPaws and SweetSpots are two I've bought). When I give a cup to my girl, I'd swear she's going to throw her hips out her tail is wagging so hard. -
Do You Remember The First Time You Had Sex And With Whom?

In the vein of early missed experiences: In my early 30's, I met a co-worker at a work outing (ok, the company bowling league) and thought he was hot - looked a bit like tom cruise (like he looked then, in the 80's). We became friends, and a couple what-I-think were missed chances....We hung out in his basement apartment one night, both wearing nothing but the lycra shorts popular for workout then. We laid on his bed and watched "Dangerous Liaisons". I was wondering, and tempted, but still way too much in the closet to initiate anything. Another time, we were part of a group renting a condo for a ski trip, and he & I would be the first ones there; he mentioned a couple of times looking forward to hot tubbing naked; which we did, but nothing happened. We were also the last ones there, but still, nothing happened. He'd mentioned being friends with the gymnastics team in college & working out with them, I had fantasies of what went on after the workouts. -

I've seen John a couple times but after some bad experiences in Detroit (lots of guy cancelling/flaking on him), he doesn't come here any more. Sad. -
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes

This reminds me a bit of when my Dad discovered the internet, and email, and started (like so many do) forwarding emails about things that were easily disprovable. I sent him a few Snopes links debunking some of them, and he finally sent me a diatribe saying it was common knowledge that Snopes was sponsored by the ultra-liberal George Soros; a hoax that I'd swear Snopes addressed themselves on the site, although I can't find the link now.
