  1. I agree about the Six Feet Under final ending, both interesting and unusual.
  2. According to David Chase, Michael was one of many who tested for the role. He did appear in HBO series, The Deuce.
  3. Thanks, Sam
  4. The 20th Anniversary of HBO's best rated show. Favorite Characters: Tony, Livia, Jackie,Jr., Carmela, Paulie Favorite episode: The College Tour I did see James Gandolfini several times early in morning in New York's West Village. Not friendly. Once he fell against me by accident while buying a paper.
  5. Forgetting festive occasion for the moment, I like Sydney a bit more than Rio. They are both magical cities!
  6. Billy was 21 years old in Australia when he was in "Absolute Arid" twenty years ago. Very, very nice ass!
  7. @marylander1940, we disagree, but I should not have made it personal.
  8. @marylander1940, I posted escort reviews here beginning in 2000. I signed the reviews with my then street address so that the escort agency, Premier, could identify me.
  9. I can not explain @marylander1940's position on paying for cancelled appointments. The same argument may have been made by others. If so, I do not remember. And I have posted here longer than Marylander1940
  10. Perhaps you can put yourself in my place when the gentleman arrived with gifts and flowers for a party he was attending later that evening. Cancelled appointment occur, for good reason of no reason. I understand that escorting is far from easy money. Sorry I would never pay for an appointment I cancelled. Never.

    Roma

You have me there. I only remember my maternal grandmother who died when I was five years old. She was 82.
  12. It really helps though if one or more biographies are published. It presents a fuller understand of someone like the talented, but needy, Elaine Stritch. Just one example.

    Roma

Why did you never visit Rome or England? London is only a six hour flight from the east coast. I did not visit Rome until 2006. But, my first time in Italy was 1973, but just San Remo near Monaco.

    Roma

Perphas you just have a romantically, outsized view of Rome.
  15. Occasionally both sides are correct. Those are the times that really frustrate me as well. Note to self: move on.
  16. Munich is almost as good as Heidelberg for food. I was always glad I spent a Christmas in West Germany. Two former presidents died while I was in Europe: Truman and LBJ.
  17. I was in West Germany in December and January 1972-3. Totally agree about the Gasthauses. I was disappointed when I visited Berlin restaurants later.
  18. I know. Completely agree.
  19. Cities are different depending on the season and weather. Paris and Rome can be cold and unfriendlu in the winter, especially if you are trying to sell a car in February. By Late June they are very different, wonderful cities.
  20. Jack Webb played essentially the same character in the 1950s film Pete Kelly's Blues, but with jazz singers Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee. Lee may have been nominated for a best Supporting Actress that year. She steals the movie from Webb.
  21. Moss Hart and Edna Ferber were often enemies. They met by accident back stage at the 1954 musical Peter Pan. After Ferber left, one of the children asked who she was. Hart replies, "Captain Hook."
  22. I love German food from Munich or Heidelberg. Could I move to either city. Or just stay here Philadelphia PA, and order meals from the Old City Tavern near Independence Hall.
