  1. Completely agree that it is a huge significant subject about sexual abused of young children. But, it directly concerns celebraties like Kevin Spacey, James Levine and many others. I have read many of the articles about the special today. Going to a film tonight was an option until I realized snow begins here at 3pm today.
  2. I have read many of @bostonman's posts here. If he felt uncomfortable from the very beginning, including the "you are very handsome" remark, there was a very, very good reason.
  3. Clearly @bostonman did believe there was something really creepy about him.
  4. I meet a number of young men and women in the local Starbucks near a community college. A few hours ago a male student who was sitting at the next table reminded me that we had a long conversation a few months. A few minutes later he answered a call from his girlfriend. That call, or more precisely his side of the call, reminded me what a nice guy he is. I had much more information than @bostonman. He should be praised, not subject to debate. IMO
  5. You made the right decision to walk away
  6. An escort whom I had hired asked me to visit him in the hospital after a serious illness. As to hiring a guy just to spend time, no. And I took the OP comment was about hiring, not eventually friendships.
  7. I like Stockholm in August. People are very friendly, and I like exploring the Baltic Islands ("Stockholm archipelago"). True there are only a few gay bar, so it helps that most everyone enjoys conversations.

    The Green Book

@longtime lurker, Why did you dislike The Deer Hunter so much? It speaks to a particular time and place. I agree that the film has major flaws when seen now (unlike Wings, which still relevant).

    The Green Book

Concerning "Chicago," I like the Broadway cast recordings a lot. And, it was the only time I saw Gwen Verdon in person. So yes, I also disagree with negative comments. But I did not see the film. Should have

    The Green Book

I mostly agree about "Driving Miss Daisy." I am glad Jessica Tandy won Best Actress that year. She worked with many interesting people on and off Broadway from Marlon Brando (Streetcar named Desire) to a naked Maxwell Caulfield (Salonika)
  11. When someone is late, for any reason, including "I'm lost near your city," I get updates (a few more calls). If he is nearby and still confused, I'll walk at least a mile to meet him. Far better than Uber because he gets to know the neighborhood a little. Some providers stay near the airport. I will meet someone who is flying in, but not if he is staying at an airport hotel for flier miles.

    The Green Book

The Green Book and Fighting with My Family share billing where I live. So I could see both films this week.
  13. Vienna is a wonderful city for music and art, but Berlin for sex. Why only five days?
  14. @tassjunior, my dad had several heart attacks before a severe heart attack killed him at age 53. His heart disease is a heritage my brother and I live with every day You mention about not being a spring chicken and your extension sexual activity. I understand heart disease is not the killer it once was because of medical research. Still, please be careful. We may disagree often, but I was genuinely concerned about your post.

    Escort egos

If you hired the same man for over a year or longer, of course, you will know about his personal life. For example, His husband/partner may work for a fellow who is often in the news. The "gossip" is not always intentional.

    Escort egos

I remember a long dispute about an overnight cost with a young guy who once posted here frequently. Perhaps because we knew each other from here, it never got ugly. But we never reached an agreement, and I greatly regret it. You are completely right to be angry about the way you were treated.
  17. Wonderful! Lagerfeld had a huge private library that inclunded many photo and art books. So research was one secret to his success. The speculation about inheritance includes his cat and a German family (the kroenigs.) The father and the son have long been close to Lagerfeld. Over the last few years, he was seldom seen without the son there too.
  18. And Judy Garland was a gifted actress in concerts in early 1960in both arena shows or much smaller venue s.In the 1963=1964, TV series on CBS. Judy could change from a overwhelming Arlen Come Rain or Come Shine to a quiet Noel Coward If Love we're all followed by That's Entertainment dropping the mic and dancing around the stage and closing with For once in my life sitting on the edge of the stage.
  19. It is also clear the Judy Garland would have become a star in the 1950s version. Excellent post in the Pines.
  20. There is absolutely nothing to do at any of the hotels at the airport. So it depends on when your flight arrives in Philadelphia. If it is late afternoon, you will not have much time in the gay neighborhood in center City Philadelphia.
  21. He apparently died of pancreatic cancer. People have mentioned that his German accent remind them of male Marlene Dietrich. But Dietrich needed to return to Berlin to care for are ailing mother, and she was one of first people to enter Berlin. Her mother Did not live long after Marlene found her.
  22. I saw an early preview of the original production. Even at my introduction to the songs, I was enchanted.
  23. Between the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Museum, Philly is as good in post-impressist Paintings as the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg Russia.
  24. Yes, but not difficult at all
  25. I drove from southern Spain to Paris, but it was February. I liike San Remo, Monaco and especially the French Med Coast. But go just before or just after the season. I am the first so far who mentioned renting a car, or hitching a ride (both are easy and fun).
