  1. Smart people seek advice from neighborhood senior centers, doctors, relatives and friends before nursing homes.
  2. Also the author of A Normal Heart and the founder of ACT UP. And one of the most controversial gay in the American. Not related to COVID19
  3. For the first few years of my mother's experience in a nursing home, we were able to afford a private room She wasn't suffering from complete dementia then, and could invite her women friends in for a long conversation. Made a sad situation much less sad.
  4. President Donald Trump mentioned the hundreds of thousands of flu related deaths each year often during the first six or seven weeks of novel coronavirus pandemic.
  5. [ Perhaps more students decided to shelter on line in their dorm rooms than Rev. Falwell anticipated. The classes were definitely not live because Mr. Falwell was concerned about teachers interacting with students in person. He was progressive in his thinking, to a degree. Perhaps students and parents reached an acceptable compromise on their own.
  6. According to an interview with Rev. Falwell on CNN after Spring break, all classes during the pandemic are on line. To the extent the University is open, some foreign students are still on campus, with appropriate social distance. To be fair, there may be other Liberty students on campus as well. Professors interact with students during face time. The Universities of Virginia and North Carolina (Chapel Hill) are closed, of course.
  7. Comment: why is The Wall Street Journal article about Liberty University's successful response to the novel coronavirus behind a pay wall,? Other publications have abandoned pay walls of important stories concerning novel coronavirus.
  8. Yet the Broadway actor We are in a pandemic concerning novel coronavirus. That is the same as children and their parents very concerned about polio especially during Summer before the vaccine. Activity can be limiting during a polio epidemic and during a coronavirus pandemic, no matter how careful one might be.
  9. @bigjoey, I don't keep track of the people who post in a specific forum here.
  10. You continue to claim without any proof that members are leaving that forum and even this site. And please stop writing "as you well know." I have never considered leaving the political forum.
  11. On the show, On that episode, a passenger from Kansas called Andy a "flakeball." And a drag queen role was cut from the first draft of the script. Warhol did meet Suzanne Somers, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart.
  12. Me too. And reading a new biography of Andy Warhol and a new book by Woody Allen. I didn't realize Warhol appeared in an episode of "The Love Boat."
  13. No good reason to give up weed. At times, Doctor Birx seemed "distracted" at her confusing press conference on Friday afternoon.
  14. Politcal issues are part of every day Life. If you believe the political forum is a cellpool, try to make it better rather than just frequently complain in this forum. Jeez
  15. I don't think so. I saw Mickey play against the Red Sox in Fenway Park and far more often on television.
  16. The first guy I hired traveled from Long Island to where I live in Philly, and stayed for over 24 hours. Tried to follow that successful fun time ever since. To be fair, I did meet him by accident in NYC first, but nothing much happened.
  17. Excellent ??
  18. I mostly agree, but even in Philadelphia the sad deaths are a mix of African-Americans, Whites and Latinos. And some Asians. Simply posting from Palm Springs with journals, newspapers, a book or three is ok, but certainly not optimal.
  19. I became friends with my hot young neighbor in the 1980s when I believed he was gay. He wasn't, but I am still glad we became friends. Personality is a factor for me, although a minor factor.
  20. No politics in this forum. You do realize the director of the New York City Housing Authority is likely a politicial appointment, disguised as something else for the masses.
  21. I was able to read a little of the Journal article on the University's site. To be honest, I was surprised that most of the students are online long before the novel coronavirus. Disappointing.
  22. Didn't Falwell keep Liberty University open, when most universities closed including the University of Pennsylvania?
  23. I don't think it is correct to state "most people don't develop symptoms.". Doctors Brix and Fauci would strongly disagree
