Jack had a very successful stage career, he worked with Merman and also Humphrey Bogart on Broadway and later a replacement in "The Odd Couple." -

Years John Stamos played Jack Klugman's son in a situation comedy.. I do remember that Stamos wore very tight pants. Jack Klugman played Broadway star Ethel Merman's boyfriend in the hit musical "Gypsy" -

Anthony Perkins did "Damn, Yankees" in a Summer theater in the Massachusetts town where I lived. He rehearsahed there too. His new movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock was opening in Boston at the same time. Everyone in rehearsal saw "Psycho" one afternoon in Boston. From then on, they saw the character he played and not Tony Perkins..
