  1. I don't want to make this political and thus verboten in the Lounge Forum, so I will make this as generic as possible, but I think it does illustrate the concept of Irony. At a certain political rally recently a certain political perrson railed against "cancel culture" just before he gave a list of people he wants to have ostracized/cancelled from the Party.
  2. Gaga says she will pay the woman who found her dogs the $500,000 even though the police are against it - they say it will incentivize future celebrity dog-nappings.
  3. Sometimes real names are more risqué than fake. True name of clergyman from southern Indiana whose obituary started: Father Firmus Dick, 82, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Jan. 13. A vigil service will be held at St. Ferdinand Church in Ferdinand on Monday, Jan. 18, at 1:30 p.m. EST. https://obits.courierpress.com/obituaries/courierpress/obituary.aspx?n=firmus-dick&pid=138630772
  4. The question, of course, is: Did the Palace inform Harry that the queen would be giving an important speech yesterday?
  5. I think it had to do with timing. The Queen gave a big speech on getting vaccinated on same day as Harry's appearance - which royals apparently felt diverted attention away from Queen Mum. Per Daily Mail: 'When the Queen speaks it's accepted she has a clear field': Palace brands rapping Harry's interview 'unhelpful' for overshadowing 'rare and important' vaccine video after he blames press for driving him away - and Meghan reveals pet name https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9303647/Palace-sources-brand-timing-Harrys-TV-appearance-unhelpful.html
  6. I've grown fond of James Corden and tape his show every night now. I particularly find his interaction with Reggie Watts very amusing and witty. Last night's episode with Prince Harry was interesting and the visit to the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" home was a gem, esp the part of Harry using the bathroom (and sticking his head out the bathroom's porthole window). It's all very humanizing, which may be why the royals are upset with the appearance (per hunky James Longmans's Twitter). I, too, was amazed at Harry's physical fitness and the ease with which he mastered the obstacle course.
  7. Not meaning to top your story, but how about having another client being welcomed in WHILE YOU ARE STILL IN BED? A couple of years ago I agreed to meet a couple I had met online at a suburban hotel. When I got there I jumped in bed with the two relatively attractive couple. But just as we were getting comfortable there was a knock at the door and one of the bed-mates jumped up and let another client in who was told to "get undressed and jump in." To his credit this new client said "Oh hell no" and left. I should have left at that point but, as I remember it, the rate was very low and I was hornier than a two-dicked billy goat, so I stayed and got my money's worth.
  8. This escort is a short super-muscular African-American male with a watermelon butt, but he is not classically handsome, but is okay. I noticed that his RM ads had a couple of negative Reviews (another complaint that I had to hear about extensively) - and he also periodically changes his name on RM - I'm guessing b/c of the Reviews. He would be an appealing hire except for his crappy attitude.
  9. I haven't seen him host yet, but it appears that Jeopardy producer Mike Richards, is a hit with fans. I thought Ken Jennings did a great job, too. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jeopardy-executive-producer-becomes-overnight-sensation-after-covid-forces-him-to-host-092740850.html
  10. Last year I texted an escort in Indy for rates. When he replied with rates that were extraordinarily high for that market, I politely declined stating that his rate was outside my budget. He counteroffered with a more moderate, though still somewhat high, fee. Against my better judgement I accepted and met him at his hotel in DT Indy. For about 20 minutes he sat in the bed telling me why he deserved the rate he had originally requested, at which point I got up and left, totally disGRUNTled. If a Provider is not going to provide a copacetic experience for the client due to resentment over fees, he should say so up front so that both can move on.
  11. Ha ha, got me. I once saw a headline of one those Gossip Tabloids that read "I Went Too Far With Elizabeth Taylor" and turned out to be a story about a taxi driver who got lost and drove Liz way beyond her intended destination. Maybe Samhexum needs to write for National Inquirer or Star Magazine?

  14. E.J. Korvette (initially a retailer of leather goods) was founded in 1948, two years before the Korean War began. I remember going to Kovette's in "Bawlamer" about 50 years ago. I was not impressed with its merchandise.
  15. I'm not sure if you could buy the Home version of Satellite radio and use it in your car - I sorta doubt it. Normally, if your car didn't come with satellite radio you'd have to have a Satellite Radio Adapter installed on your current radio.
  16. Last April I paid the following amount for one year of Sirius XM Select - $126.68
  17. I use the same strategy although, since obtaining Android Auto, when I tell Sirius that I want to cancel, I actually mean it - unless they come up with a really good price, which they always do. Tell them that you'll pay the same amount as you did last year - for me, they've always accepted my offer. Be sure to call them a few days before renewal.
  18. One summer in college I worked in a factory that made ammonia. I came home every night with burning eyes, nose, throat and lungs. I lasted two weeks before I quit.
  19. Per Consumer Reports The Upside of Leasing On the surface, leasing can be more appealing than buying. Monthly payments are usually lower because you’re not paying back any principal. Instead, you’re just borrowing and repaying the difference between the car’s value when new and the car’s residual—its expected value when the lease ends—plus finance charges. The Major Advantages of Leasing • You drive the car during its most trouble-free years. • You’re always driving a late-model vehicle that’s covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which may include free oil changes and other scheduled maintenance. • Having a predictable monthly payment with no surprise repair costs can make it easier to stick to a household budget. • You can drive a higher-priced, better-equipped vehicle than you might otherwise be able to afford. This may allow you to opt for lifesaving safety features that aren’t available on lower trims or used cars. • You don’t have to worry about fluctuations in the car’s trade-in value or go through the hassle of selling it when it’s time to move on. • There could be significant tax advantages for business owners. • At the end of the lease, you just drop off the car at the dealer. Disadvantages to Leasing • In the end, leasing usually costs you more than an equivalent loan, if only because you're always driving a rapidly depreciating asset. • If you lease one car after another, monthly payments go on forever. By contrast, the longer you keep a vehicle after the loan is paid off, the more value you get out of it. Over the long term, the cheapest way to drive is to buy a car and keep it until it’s uneconomical to repair. • Lease contracts specify a limited number of miles. If you go over that limit, you’ll have to pay an excess mileage penalty. That can range from 10 cents to as much as 50 cents for every additional mile. So be sure to calculate how much you plan to drive. You don’t get a credit for unused miles. • If you don’t maintain the vehicle in good condition, you’ll have to pay excess wear-and-tear charges when you turn it in. So if your kids are apt to go wild with the magic markers or you're a magnet for parking lot dents and dings, be prepared to pay extra. • If you decide that you don’t like the car or if you can’t afford the payments, it might cost you. You will probably be stuck with thousands of dollars in early termination fees and penalties if you get out of a lease early—and they’ll all be due at once. Those charges could equal the amount of the lease for its entire term. • With a few exceptions, such as professional window tinting, you need to bring back the car in “as it left the showroom” condition, minus usual wear and tear, and configured like it was when you leased it. • You’re still on the hook for expendable items such as tires, which can be more expensive to replace on a better-equipped vehicle with premium wheels.
  20. Don't forget that insurance and repairs are usually much higher for expensive cars. The best cars (in both reliability and comfort) are often not the most expensive. Buy something nice (and reasonable) and use the money you save on travel and escorts. Read Consumer Reports March Edition before you buy anything.
  21. The 1956 Republican Convention. I was a child but I can remember watching, on our teeny-tiny b/w screen. Cars w/out seat belts.
  22. Definition of impeccable 1 : free from fault or blame 2 : not capable of sinning 3 : incapable of wrongdoing -------------------------------------------------- Will you be changing your sign-in name? Perhaps to "The_Peccable_G?"
  23. Absolutely. Every father of a teenager entering puberty should be required to memorize Prof. Samuel Perlman's advice to his son. From Wikipedia: Perlman's consoling speech given to his son in the film was described by Huffington Post writer Nell Minow as being "one of the most moving scenes ever filmed."
  24. It's my understanding that Armie Hammer did more than have fantasies. Apparently he put his fantasies in the form or requests to various women - one of whom he told he'd "like to break my rib and barbecue and eat it." Per The Toronto Sun: The news comes weeks after one ex-lover, Paige Lorenze, told The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia that Hammer allegedly wanted to remove one of her ribs and eat it. “He asked me on multiple occasions to remove my ribs,” she said. “He wanted to find a doctor in L.A. to, like, remove the ribs that I don’t need. And he wanted to, like, he has a smoker at his house in L.A. and he wanted to smoke it and eat it (sic)… He would always say, ‘I wonder what it tastes like, I bet it tastes good’.” Another ex, Courtney Vucekovich, told Daily Mail.com in an exclusive interview that the Call Me By Your Name star was into “master-slave fetishes” and allegedly told her he wanted to break and eat her ribs. His former GF is also alleging that Hammer was "abusive and manipulative." I agree with you that one's personal fantasies are nobody's business and the absurdity of the requests suggests to me that he likely was joking (bad joking). I still think that Armie was miscast in CMBYN as he looked much older than the supposed 25, and lacked chemistry with his co-star. Other than that, I have no idea whether the allegations are true or not. Apparently some Hollywood big shots have been spooked by the rumors since he was dropped from two movies as well as by his long time Talent Agency. I would doubt that the CMBYN producers would risk inserting him into a movie about forbidden love esp when he's being accused of wanting to barbecue and eat his lovers. Unless, of course, the sequel has a Hannibal Lector subplot.
