I reached out to him when he was coming to DC. He read it and never responded… then removed DC as a travel location. He lists many cities and I kinda doubt he actually travels to them. Who knows.

I went as I was in town on a work trip. Overall, it was kinda underwhelming. Most of the guys in the email showed up - some were there for a bit and left early ish (11pm) and some were mostly talking among themselves. The bar was never full; maybe 30% full or so.
