What’s it say here: (highlights mine) I paid one provider for a while in gift cards. He had problems managing his money (drugs/gambling/whatever?). As our friendship developed we realized the gift cards helped him buy groceries, gas for the car, etc. with him not having access to cash to burn. My gift cards to *anyone* always have the validating receipt taped to them or discreetly inside. Not hard to verify their value. I Did mention that I know how to scam works. I’ve mentored many providers and young men from seeking arrangements to avoid the gift card scam.

I never send via RM messaging. Is that what you mean? I only send via text message from burner. I think there are a lot of lurkers on this forum who live vicariously through those of us that are hiring regularly.

I’ve never had a problem sending a pic. When I do I use pics of me that are easily availability on other social media and websites. My (perhaps naive) assumption that if I’m using pictures already “out there” I lessen the possibility of getting “shaken down” in one way or another. So many pics are stolen nowadays...I would just assert the same in foiling any Foolish extortion attempts.

Well..the well known scam is sending a gift card BEFORE the appointment. The OP suggests he was asked to “bring” a gift card (to the session?). If that’s the case...where’s the risk to the client? Seems the masseur puts himself at risk. I’m not naive! I’ve warned many young friends of the dangers of gift cards. I very frequently give my Seeking Arrangement or other social media friends/meets a gasoline gift card as a little gift (in addition to any allowance already negotiated)...it’s always appreciated here in SoCal.

Agree, but I’ve been to dozens of restaurants in the US that offer an after dinner cheese course. Mind you these aren’t Denny’s but rather fairly expensive dining...but the cheese course has been here for years and years. I often order it in lieu of dessert.

I like this plan....and flip side when returning the car I’ll often do it the night before departure, courtesy shuttle to nearby hotel, relax, and shuttle back for my flight the next day. Especially in new foreign travel locations.

I’m in the “coach is ok” - it’s usually a fraction of a great trip, plenty of suggestions above for making yourself comfortable, bringing along entertainment, I often bring my own food/snacks, etc.

I’m not feeling a lot of open mindedness on the topic from @JTtorretto on this topic...but this book describes a humane way of raising beef. Yeah...you have to slaughter them before you eat them...no way around that! But as outlined in this book the way the beef are raised, treated, fed, and slaughtered are indeed out of the mainstream. FYI the book is Co-written by founders of Crowd Cow an online source of craft/artisan beef I’ve bought from frequently over the last few years.
