I really wish rentmasseur would do more to usher these men towards rentmen, instead. He's obviously not offering a skilled massage at that price point and with those pics. At this point, I even wonder why the sites are separate?

Agree with the above. Strictly Therapeutic and mediocre. You’re paying to look at a pretty face while it massages you badly.

So I saw him this afternoon and would definitely recommend. The pic, as the above poster pointed out, does not do him justice. He’s a fit dude with more muscle on him then that picture implies.
The massage was great. I believe the 12 years of experience. It was a very confident touch and an obviously familiar technique. He did draped acupressure, removed the drape for a great Swedish and deep tissue combo, that was it. Completely therapeutic but that was fine by me.
Can’t beat the price. Definitely worth it.
 

I used to travel for work, so I have endless stories. I had massage in every town I visited.
I never wore underwear for a massage. I love being naked too much, and piriformis work is very important to me. Definitely no underwear for that. But many of the straight guys I visited across the country had interesting reactions to my desire to be naked and uncovered (a must in warmer climates). I loved when the masseur would voluntarily get naked with me. Loved when the masseur would say, "Do you mind if I join you?"
I find many straight masseurs are open-minded about being naked. It's when the horny gay guys go grabby where things go south. Open-minded straight masseurs often have their boundaries. If you respect those boundaries, many guys will surprise you.

i agree with you about looking for escorts who also provide bodywork. This is a twofer, which should be compensated accordingly.
 
It does bring up one of my pet peeves, which is “strictly-therapeutic” masseurs who think they should be paid as much as erotic ones. I’m sorry, but there is a “nudity premium.” If you’re wearing sweats and a hoodie and they’re staying on, and nobody’s dick gets tugged, you shouldn’t expect the same compensation. Full stop. And clients are guilty for agreeing to pay it. I don’t care how good the massage is, if you’re asking $200 an hour or more there needs to be something more.

I wanna say it was in 2023? Maybe early 2024 but pretty sure it was the former. Thought the guy had a nice profile and I decided to book with him. Full disclosure: I absolutely do not remember what I paid for it all. Ultimately it wasn’t worth it.
The massage was on his bed. Not a fan of beds in general so I was already not feeling it — gave it a go anyway.
It was one of the most mechanical massages I’ve ever received. Somehow worse as he constantly was on his phone, constantly stepped away, and barely used any amount of pressure. He would stop for a period of time, I assume to text his next appointments. Like whatever, I can deal with you needing to answer a text or two to confirm your schedule. Get your bag. This, however, was more than that. Overall, he was extremely uninterested and over it.
The kicker was when I flipped over. A bit more rubbing sporadically — by this time, I’m very much ready to be done. He proceeds to grab hold of my hand & attempt to force me to HE myself. 

At that point, I decided it was over. Paid him because my own morals wouldn’t let me just leave without it but I made the note to never book with him again.
Side note: I tried to put a review on RentMasseur but since I technically booked with him through MasseurFinder, they rejected the review.
Absolutely horrible. 0/10, would not recommend.

THE COFFEE WAS COLD EVERYDAY. What more can I say? There were 5 large containers of coffee each morning and only 1 was ever hot. It might have been the Decaf or the Light Roast....one never knew which it would be. That fact alone was hard to believe. I was there for a beginners meditation workshop and I didn't experience it as particularly helpful. I was with a beginner meditator who also didn't find it particularly helpful. Poems were read daily and, to me, they were far beyond beginner level. Esalen is an amazing location, that cannot be denied. I just can't understand the coffee situation and I might as well stop there.

I’ve given one provider permission to message me when he’s available because he is very often booked up so if a slot opens I’ll usually take it. The others I use have been told, gently but firmly, that I’ll reach out when I want an appointment.

You do not owe this person a single word of explanation. Your reasons for not hiring him when he, evidently, needs money, are absolutely none of his business. Just tell him firmly that when you wish to hire him again he will be the first to know, that you have his contact, and you have don’t need reminders.
I would be concerned about this relationship. There may be unfortunate reasons he seems to need money. Desperate people can do bad things. It may be best to pause and not engage in his life for some time. 

This is one reason why I rarely do appointments at my home. I do not want to bring people I do not know well that close to my life.
