  1. I'm splitting hairs, but I don't mind performance numbers at a wedding IF (and this is a big IF) they are not the couple's first dance. The first dance should be all about the couple, and I think a production number takes away from the meaning of the moment. If the couple wants to do a choreographed number after the ritual dances (couple, mother/son, parents, etc.) are completed, I'm fine with that.
  2. Growing up in Indiana we didn't have it. Working as I did in a role that I interacted with colleagues across the country, it was always fun trying to remember whether Green Bay was an hour behind us or on the same time. I loved that AZ was always two hours behind. Then I had to move to Ohio and remember that my mom in Indiana was an hour behind Ohio during the summer. I tend to be a person who awakes with the sunrise. These last couple of weeks are really tough getting out of bed. (During the summer, I'm up well before the alarm goes off at 6:00, even on the weekends.)
  3. In high school, one of my duties as class treasurer was to manage pop machines we used for fundraising. Back then our machines only accepted coins as a can of soda was only twenty-five cents. Most machines have two internal change mechanisms, one for quarters and one for nickels. Usually, they are self-filling with the quarters fed to the machine feeding the top of the quarter change mechanism, but on occasion it still requires and attendant to resupply the change. As I recall, it would be possible for the attendant to slide in a nickel rather than quarter for the change device. Back in the day, the most a 'change maker' could hold in a machine was about $25 dollars.
  4. On tonight's epidsode, Corky had a line that had me laughing so hard I nearly fell out of my chair. The show is showing moments of what made it my favorite back in the day.
  5. I'm now signing those darn electronic screens more often than I'm signing paper documents. My 2nd grade teacher who taught me how to write cursive would have a few things to say about how much my handwriting has deteriorated.
  6. I have attended the last two years and the pool party has been in the afternoon. Both years, I left before the activities were over to limit my time out in the sun, so you shouldn't have any problems showing up for work on Monday.
  7. Agreed - - my absolutely, without any question, worst hotel experience was at a Helmsley Hotel. My skin crawls just typing this message thinking back 20+ years ago.
  8. This week's episode was better. And Jim Dial was on.
  9. Thank you - I've made the edit.
  10. Avalon, Congrats! I'm sure that even for just getting around your residence you will find great benefit. I've had two family members that resisted getting them for a while. My grandmother in particular didn't get one for more than two years after her physician recommended it. In addition to providing her stability when walking, it also allowed (forced) better posture and she realized that she was sleeping better at night. Hopefully you will find many benefits.
  11. Agree. I thought this week's episode was the first of the three I've seen that didn't feel forced. Still needing more time to fully sit in.
  12. My sister contacted me as she was watching the premier and she indicated I needed to watch it. I didn't think it was awful and added to my DVR recording schedule, but it is at the bottom of the list, so if there are other shows on my list, it will not get recorded and I will not miss it. However, I do think it is better than some of the sitcoms on the air and there is little TV that is geared to an older generation, so it might actually gain a following. Even though most of his lines are bad, I do enjoy the way Leslie Jordan is able to deliver them. It is good to see an openly-gay character older than me on TV.
  13. A couple of weeks ago the outdoor temps dipped to 50. About 3:00 a.m. I awoke a little chilly and added a second blanket to my bed. After thirty more minutes of still being cold and not falling back asleep, I broke down and turned on the furnace. It only remained until the following day.
  14. Went to see Head Over Heels last night. For those that are not familiar with the show, it uses the music of the GoGos, so for a boy growing up in the 80s, there was a lot of familiar songs. With the opening number, I was ready for a good a evening of fun - a great use of We Got the Beat with very enjoyable choreography. After that, I wasn't as pleased with the show and would give it 5 on a scale of 1-10. Pluses of the show: Rachel York - excellent in her role The band! - - excellent throughout and really kept the GoGos sound Sexy ensemble with a lot of energy. If you appreciate the technical aspects of a show, the lighting was well done and very effective and I liked the set designs Peppermint got a loud reception when first appearing on stage. Downsides of the show: There is a scene (if my memory is correct the song was Heaven is a Place on Earth) that really needs to be restaged. They basically had a long scrim sheet across the front of the stage that occasionally a character would pop his/her head above and sing. Then the characters were back lit to project shadows of the consummation of personal relationships onto the scrim. Interesting idea, but I felt it was not executed well. The script tried too hard to make a statement about gender and sexual identity, particularly the second act. As a result, some of the things I enjoyed in Act One got lost after intermission.
  15. The Carnival cruise I was on a year ago had a cruise director (and a support staff.)
  16. I'm sure that member believes you are going to enhance his rep out yonder.
  17. The lack of in calls has kept me from calling him. That said, his ad has been up quite a while and that must indicate that he is getting some business.
  18. I've been looking for someone in Columbus for three years when my most recent regular moved out of town. I usually have to rely on the traveling guys for my massages. Admittedly, I've not successfully booked with any of the current advertisers. (I've tried to schedule something from time to time without any success, so I've not made much effort recently.)
  19. For me, condom use has never been a complaint. I've never minded the feel of the condom as the bottom and as a top my only complaint are that Magnums are too big for me. However, earlier this year I did start taking PrEP. A couple of factors went into my decision to do so: 1. I have twice had condoms come off of my partner with me realizing it until after the we were done with playtime. 2. A good friend's partner of five years had not disclosed to my friend that the partner had been diagnosed HIV+ five years before they met. (Made me realize that if someone who claims to love you and share your bed every night, how could you ever trust someone you are just meeting for the first time.) Should my doctor ever tell me that I need to stop taking PrEP or my insurance doesn't cover it, I wouldn't fret about not taking it.
  20. Whether a steam room or a dry sauna, I've seen guys lie down on the tile/cedar bench. I personally like to sit in a corner of the steam room, leaning against a wall with my feet up on the bench.
  21. I've stayed at both Pineapple Point and Cabanas (https://thecabanasguesthouse.com/) and recommend both of them. Neither of these locations is walking distance to the beach like the Worthington is.
  22. If your partner doesn't buy into Ryan Reynolds, try Justin Trudeau.
  23. Thank goodness penis is easy to pronounce!
  24. The overnights I've had do vary. In most cases, dinner has been included and usually breakfast. In some cases, there are a couple of play sessions in the evening with nothing in the morning. Other times an evening session with a morning wake up call with the provider's head under the sheets. One item to discuss before hand is sleeping. Is sleepwear expected or nudity? Is body contact (such as spooning) during the night good or does either client or provider need to be untouched to get sleep? How many hours of actual sleeping is a minimum.
