I have never cone across watercress except in Victorian novels where watercress sandwiches were de riguer in the upper classes.

Where did that statistic come fron about detectable viral load? Does it include newly discovered infections prior to treatment? It seems very high and what one might expect in the third world.

I always consider the source before consuming anything. That applies to piss too. Oh, and I have been doing it for over 30 years and am 76 and healthy.

Just reading the Senate hearing transcripts into the Titanic disaster and throughout the hearings there were references to the "Italians" who were charging the lifeboats and had to be driven off. The Italian Ambassador to the United States lodged a complaint and the Senate Chairman of the committee issued a clarification and said it was men of the Latin race, not the Italians per se. In 1912 Italians in America were treated as second class citizens. Still haven't had an American Italian president or vice president and yet they form a huge segment of the population. I guess Nancy Pelosi has risen the highest amongst Americans of Italian extraction.

The one thing about age is that winter sports are more difficult for most of us. I used to do a lot of skiing and gradually gave it up, first alpine and then nordic. Just didn't want to have a bad fall and break my legs or worse. But then I've given up a lot of summer sports as well, like tennis, sailing and horse back riding. Still swim but indoors year round. So the seasons, of which we have four, are less varied for me now but then I've seen a lot of life. One thing that has been a blessing in my older age is my sex life. With this hobby we mostly share, it just keeps truckin along. 😛 Weather be damned.

This has been a very pleasant summer weatherwise in Eastern Canada , namely Ontario and Quebec, which account for over half of the Canadian population. Other than a couple of days when the smoke was bad from fires up in the remote parts of the two provinces, the temperatures have been mostly in the 70s and low 80sF. There have been isolated rain events and the odd tornado in some of the larger cities or nearby but no deaths or serious injuries. These extreme events are becoming more frequent in the last decade. British Columbia is the exception when it comes to wildfires, in the sense of more people being affected directly. I take it Vancouver and Victoria have had more smokey days and larger population centres in the interior are being burned out. Okanagan is BC's wine and fruit growing countryside and larger numbers of people live closer to nature. They are being displaced by the thousands. Reminds me of California except BC was never like that years ago except in the remote north. Unlike for Charlie, our electricity bills are higher in the winter. Also heating on top of that since most of us heat with gas. Except Quebec which uses electricity. But then their electricity is cheap with all the hydro they have. For seven months or more my utilities expenses are relatively low, including water and sewage.

The problem is hundreds usually die in a major airplane crash, which is not true of a car accident even in a major pileup on a freeway. When two planes are involved the fatalities exceed 500. All at once. It's a major traumatising event. Thankfully these types of disasters are rare today. For those of us old enough, they were quite commonplace in the 1960's and 70's, which is when I started flying, a lot. That was the era of the start of mass flying in jet airliners. A lot of new planes were introduced and a lot of bugs had to be worked out, at the expense of mass casualties. The headlines were daunting. Today's generation of flyers has no recollection of this time.

As I remember PS houses, they are pretty close to the ground with no basements. If the water is surrounding your house is there any danger of it entering. Or have you sandbagged your doors?

I've had an overnight experience where the escort was travelling to me ( about a two hour trip). First time with him and he arrived tired. I would not repeat that scenario. The sex was subpar and only occurred at 4 in the morning. After I insisted. He had arrived at 8. The morning wasn't much better.

Downtown, the song, will always remind me of the summer of 1967 when Expo67 came to downtown Montreal, where I was living. My family actually lived in downtown Montreal so I was in the thick of things. I also got a job at Expo. It was a great time.

What's 13 years. Oh wait, those were the best years of my life.

That sounds like it might be the same guy. 9X8 in his ad is what attracted me to that escort (at that time I was testing my linits). And the name might have been Jean-Claude. If you have anything else about him. I would welcome a DM. In the early 2000s I did visit NY occasionally and used Hooboy for finding escorts. Maybe other sources too, but I don't remember.

After 1994 I didn't visit Miami again until 1999 in January to stay the winter. His ad from Hotspots had disappeared. That was the gay mag that came out monthly with escort ads at the back. Way before Internet apps. I don't know what happened to him but I wish him well. I only have fond memories of him. Btw, he wasn't cheap. His fee of $150 was top tier in those days.

I'm really reaching back in time now but back in 1994 I was in Florida for a winter vacation and met up with an escort who lived in SouthBeach. His name was Claude and he was a Belgian. He had a true 9X8 which if anything was understated. I was so thrilled with the first session that I saw him again two more times in the 10 days I was there. After the third date we went for a walk on Lincoln Road which was in the process of being torn up and resurfaced. I recall him being tall and slim with dirty blond hair. He had a nice setup in his apartment with a large platform bed. After each session my ass would sing for a day or two.

I would make a posthumous nomination. The undeniable evidence is in his porn work which can be viewed on various sites. The name that he used was Jay Dymel and he was often a bottom for logistical reasons, that is most models could not take his dick, it was so thick. I met Jay once in 2019 several months before his untimely death. He was advertising on RM with his real life boyfriend Ryan Stone. They both topped me but Ryan said he would not bottom for Jay. Let's just say I would not repeat that sort of experience. I suppose the only bottoms who could are those accomplished in fisting as bottoms. There is one porn film I remember seeing with a British actor who bottomed for Jay. The name I remember is Awbry but not sure of his first name. He put on a very realistic portrayal of accomodating Jay's dick. I could empathize completely. 😆

That's a tragic story. Unfortunately not all that rare but fatalities resulting from elderly drivers mishaps behind the wheel are.

I stayed at the Kimpton in Toronto a few weeks ago and as I had not been there for ions when I was on business travel, I wondered how they would handle my nightly visits of escorts. These guys would meet me in the lobby and it would have been hard to pass them off as "nephews" or "grandsons" even since they were in their late 20's and Latinos with lots of muscles poured into tight summer clothes. My apprehensions were dispelled after the first evening when I found the atmosphere was very casual at the front desk and all the hotel guests were a very mixed cosmopolitan crowd. My guys fit in very well. And I was paying around $500 per night including valet parking and breakfast. I would stay there again.

Twenty years ago a friend of mine from Florida (since deceased) was getting Botox injections in his face to remove temporarily lines in his forehead. He got these at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital from a doctor who offered the service outside the provincial health care plan since cosmetic procedures weren't covered. I went with him once to drive him home. He did have a lot of lines in his face at the age of 70, having grown up and lived his entire life in Florida until he moved to Montreal at around 68. I had not heard of Botox until he acquainted me with it. It cost him quite a lot and frankly only lasted a few months until he needed it again. Maybe it's better now but it won't help him as he died at age 76, my age now. I've never needed it since I have lovely smooth skin on my face. My arms and legs are a different matter. 😆

Anyone who would deny that the denizens of Los Angeles are youth obsessed must be living in La La land.
-
I'm not surprised hearing this from someone living in youth obsessed LA.

Too much heat will do that to plastic. 😆

I saw your night lights and I have three in my garden so I just took a picture of this one. My last dog is buried under this little statue with the light that comes on every night. He died in that spot in 2021 so I made a little garden to commemorate him. He loved that yard and spent many seasons there.

If Ryan showed up near me, which is not likely, I would hire him in a nanosecond.

Did you mean to say "he's definitely hot"? "Not" doesn't make any sense.
