I’m an old gay man but nothing sad about me. I don’t have sunken eyes and I keep my figure trim by eating right and getting exercise into my weekly routine. I also have a life outside my gay world and am associated with several non gay causes that keep me busy contributing my talents and time. I keep in touch with my family members. I haven’t been in a gay bar in ages except for one visit to Campus in Montreal recently. I do go to restaurants which gays frequent but not exclusively. The world consists of all sorts of people and I try to expose myself to a wide variety to keep the proper perspective on what it means to be social.

I’ve never paid a provider by cheque (Canadian spelling) but keep my cheque book handy for large payments. I like to pay my income taxes with one, my municipal taxes and donations to charities when they are in the 4 figures. These latter get tax receipts in exchange. Years ago I used my cheques for many payments and every couple of years needed to get a new set of books. Now I expect my current cheques to last the rest of my life since so many payments are either automatically deducted from my bank account or I pay online.

There’re probably waiting for better weather as today was chilly and gray. On a different note, I shopped for some new lubricant at what used to be called Priape and is now called 77SINS. It looked the same inside and even had the same sales clerk downstairs in the lube and dildo department. I bought a bottle of SwissNavy Silicone lube, my favourite, and the price was about 25 percent less from the last bottle I purchased there. A great contribution to reducing inflation. Now if only the grocery stores followed suit.

I am amazed you could put back so much alcohol in one evening. I was floored after drinking 3 caipirinhas one afternoon at the Copa palace and never drank more than 2 after that in a single sitting.

I live in a small town where there aren’t that many “hot” young guys. I really notice them more in large cities like Toronto and Montreal. Even the obviously straight ones pushing baby strollers. So I was pleasantly surprised today to see a gorgeous hunk in my club’s swimming pool swimming with 5 young children all under 5 or 6 years of age. I think many just thought the epidemic went away and wasn’t something to be concerned about.

I confirm the rate each time whether they are regulars or not. Mainly because I often schedule more than just the standard hour. For a short session I really prefer one and a half hours so that entails a small negotiation anyway. And some I might see after a year or so has passed so it’s best to check if the rate is the same.
