  1. I stayed at the old Gouveneur many times and although it was a bit tired I always thought it was good value for reasonable rates. The new Hyatt looks gussied up and the rates reflect it. The problem is there is no fine dining within walking distance. The restaurants in the Village offer subpar food and atmosphere. The advantage is the proximity of the stripper bars but I'm not enticed to visiting them these days. Too many health concerns.
  2. This disease is a lot worse than monkeypox. Unless dealt with quickly once symptoms arise, it often is fatal. Many years ago a friend of mine got it and he luckily sought treatment right away. But he was deathly ill for two weeks in the hospital. He was gay and strong as an ox and about 35 at the time. He passed away from brain cancer about 8 years ago at the age of 60.
  3. Absolutely. But it didn't occur to me at the time. I met his gay uncle and we became penpals for over 5 years.
  4. Not Polaroid. It wasn't an expensive camera but it took decent color pictures. I met a young blond lad and we hung out for several days. Looking at his pics now he would be called a twink but he was a great top in bed. I was 32 and he was about 21. Great stamina at that age.
  5. Not so fast. The economy appears to be heading for the toilet.
  6. That claim came from our Dr. De minimus aka Dr. Denier.
  7. I don't think we need to know the excruciating details about a lost weekend that must have cost a pretty penny for " no deliverables". I would find that pretty frustrating. My own approach is to have a fairly lengthy exchange of messages before going through with a date like that with no prior history, which I have the odd time and things turned out fine. Communicate, communicate, communicate.
  8. I've played it both ways when escorts were coming from different countries to see me at a hotel. With one, we spent the two nights and three days together, one room, one bed. With the other he stayed in a separate room in the same hotel and we saw each other two evenings in a row for over 6 hours each time including dinner out at a nice restaurant. With the former I paid for the plane ticket. With the latter he was on a world tour and just stopped to see me. I guess each situation is unique. The one I paid the plane ticket for really wanted to see Montreal because after leaving me he went on to see friends that he stayed with in the city for the rest of the week.
  9. I don't know but I would think not. They are trying to break the chain of transmission and anyone involved in having sex with men who have multiple partners is potentially part of that chain. Also it was an international traveler into Montreal who brought the first case with him.
  10. I just checked the stats that the NYTimes has been reporting daily for two years and daily deaths in the US are over 320 and on an uptick again. Given that translates into around 6 per state, I would think the larger states would be in the double digits. Or are the cases now concentrated in states other than the four largest?
  11. It has been ages since I got private dances at Campus but at that time there was lots of skin on skin contact between the dancers and myself, including in the genital area. They would rub their naked butts on my groin with my pants pulled down, all in a darkened booth. Wouldn't do that these days.😒
  12. No reviews after 7 months. A cautionary flag.
  13. You can still get top notch guys for under $300 in certain markets like Montreal.
  14. That would throw a whole new light on it if the "kid" is 50. 😆
  15. The first time I visited SF it was a foggy night when I arrived in early August 1979. I was enchanted with the fog horns on the ships. Most of the ensuing week was sunny and cool. Really lovely. I still have pictures of that vacation.
  16. Two interesting things he said in the two videos. One, supplies of vaccine are limited. And he still didn't have his test results so he doesn't yet count as a confirmed case. He expects numbers to increase. I suspect the same thing is happening in Canada as I read that testing is somewhat delayed because of the way it is set up.
  17. Yes Lord Alfred Douglas was jailbait but has it been established how old the neighbour's kid is?
  18. I saw his private pics and two pics of a decent sized but not huge dick. Two other pics of his ass. He lists as vers-top.
  19. I know this is wildly well, Wilde, but my instincts would tell me to stay away from what might be "jailbait". It didn't turn out well for Oscar and could be a disaster for you too if you don't think with your big head.
  20. Well, here we are almost a month later and that proverbial knife is still falling. Some days it has fallen as fast as the worst days of 2008. And we know how that ended. The great recession. Today the S&P500 is down 23 percent. It is not inconceivable it could fall between 33 and 50 percent. It has in my lifetime a couple of times. At this point its hard to see what is going to change market sentiment since there are no silver bullets in prospect.
  21. A good reason just to have the price of a blowjob in your wallet and nothing else.
  22. The area just north of the park in Montana is Hemingway country. All those place names I've read about in his published letters. He's better known for his life in Key West and Cuba but he loved Montana so much he went there many years to hunt even when he was living in the former places.
  23. Bigger than Elvis.
  24. The WHO will be having an emergency meeting next week to discuss the spread of Monkeypox in dozens of countries. The CBC characterized Quebec as the epicentre of the disease, now registering more than 130 cases, most in Montreal and all amongst men who have sex with men. While the numbers may appear small, the growth in cases is alarming. While not a fatal disease in most cases, especially in the developed world, the symptoms are not something one would want to endure.
  25. When I looked for the scar on my left shoulder I found it after some searching, it had faded a lot. When I was a little kid it showed vividly, especially after the summer tan I got at the cottage. The shot I got at 18 was probably intramuscular as you suggested.
