I always feel a bit sad when houses are torn down to make way for something grander. Its only happened to me once when our family cottage was torn down a couple of years after we sold it in 2013. The people who bought it built a huge cedar house which I have to admit looks great on the lakeside location but it doesn't have the character our house had, a rambling 5 bedroom clapboard house built in the 1930's before there was electricity on .the lake.

Do you ever go back to see the places where you once lived? Like Breakfast at Tiffanys. I often do whenever I have the chance. A few months ago I stopped in front of the house which I owned for 20 years during my crazy 30s and 40s. A youngish woman came out and I hailed her from my car as she crossed the street in front of me. We chatted a bit and she told me her sister, who owned the house, had turned the family room addition I had put on the rear with skylights and a fireplace with cathedral ceiling was now her sister's office, which she loved during the pandemic. It made me feel good that it had been put to such use.

Smartphones really have changed the dynamic of bars and restaurants whether gay or straight. A real killer for social interaction between strangers. Glad they didnt exist when I was young and hustling for pickups in the bars. And I don't mean for cash transactions. I had to make it on my looks then. Lol.

We're basically talking about appliances in the home. Some have been around for up to over a century and are old technology-your phone, TV, stove, washer-drier, dishwasher, etc. Some are newer techology like home security, computer and cell phone internet service-modems, routers, smart appliances etc. The old stuff you tend to have to pay for after market service, once the warranty expires. For the technology driven stuff, you usually pay monthly charges and when things go wrong a phone call will usually set things straight. Ar least that is my experience. Two weeks ago my dryer went on the fritz. It was over 5 yesrs old and off the warranty. I paid a service fee of $127 for a man to come and show me how the fuse had blown and needed to be replaced with a $5 part. I was just happy I didn't need to replace the machine.

We're probably the same generation as I first visited New York in 1971 and then more frequently in the 80's and through the 90's and early 00's as an openly gay man. In that time I met men in the bars but also started hiring escorts. Then for well over a decade after 2003 I didn't visit. Went back just before the pandemic but didn't stop in any gay bars. Had escorts visit me in my hotel each night, including two overnights. Frankly, at my age I'm not interested in the bar scene at night seeking hookups. I much prefer the screening I can do through Rentment when I am cold sober and in possession of all my faculties.

Did you mean to write cockring?

While I have never had a bad experience such as those described here, I did hire a masseur which then transitioned into an escort session. His massages were only body rubs but he was a lot of fun when things got hotter. I saw him several times and he opened up a bit about his experiences with clients. One pulled a knife on him and he got slashed across the abdomen. He had a 9 inch scar to show for it. As a result he had very strict rules about outcalls, when this had happened. He wouldn't take first time clients except at his place.

I am obviously the odd man out but years ago when I visited Orlando at least once or twice during the winter over a 5 year period I enjoyed myself there. Now I was living during the winter season ( 5 months) in Miami, which I really liked. But Orlando, where I had friends from Montreal who were life-long Orlando people, I found had some charming spots not on the tourist trail. I only once spent a day at Universal Studios and passed on the rest of Disney World. The man made lakes really impart a charming aspect to the residential areas. WinterGarden was a nice old time winter resort dating to the turn of the 20th century when wealthy midwesterners would frequent the place. The Tiffany museum is a small gem featuring the original glass from the chapel on Louis C. Tiffany's Long Island estate. A friend of mine was a leading proponent of the "historic district" who worked to get it recognized decades before I met him in Montreal. I always stayed in one of his charming small hotels which overlooked a lake. Through him I got to go to museum events both in Orlando and St. Petersburg, which both have interesting small museums. My friends are long dead now so no reason to go back but I'll always treasure my memories of visiting there. And yes, I was a whore during nights at Parliament House.😉

Funny, I think of 6' as tall, but then I'm 5'11". I know younger people seem to be getting taller, as in all my nephews and nieces are taller than their parents, who weren't short either. I went with a 6'4" escort a month ago and he was tall, for me. Seeing him again this week as we hit it off despite our differences in height. 😊

One has to read these posts carefully because people use the term receiver in oral in one of two ways. Either to receive head or receive cum. The former is a top and the latter a bottom. But "receiver" can be either.

Or not, depending on one's tastes.

I am surprised that you find the texture of scallops offputting. I find that the texture of a fresh (not previously frozen) scallop, either poached or broiled, is simply scrumptious. But then I recognize, tastes vary.

That scenario worked for me fairly consistently 40 years ago. Not so much today. 😒

I won't be eligible for my second booster until the end of May. I'll see what the incidence rate of infection is in my area at that time. Right now it is high and climbing.

I work on several volunteer boards and there are those ( most) who just show up to see what's going on and those much fewer who actually show up to do something useful.

I love the idea. I've always been into museums since I was a kid. My parents enrolled me in the Montréal Museum.of Fine Arts when I was 7 in their Saturday childrens art classes. Spent 5 years there. Today I am helping set up a new small museum in my town. Lots of fun.

Attention! - 19th Annual Palm Springs Weekend, 2022

I'm in a simular age category of risk as Lucky and I still wear a mask in many indoor settings. As for outdoor venues such as around a swimming pool with a large crowd for an extended period, we haven't had that kind of weather yet but I would still feel more comfortable wearing one. On the other hand, I have been seeing escorts throughout the pandemic, although I try to limit the occasions to when case loads in my area are at a low. Consequently when the waves have hit I have gone several months of abstinence. It actually whets the appetite for when things look good. I don't even think about what others may think of me wearing a mask and so far no-one has made a comment in my presence. -
When I once read that the guy who authored the detective series Maigret, a Belgian I believe, had had sex with over a thousand women, I stopped counting my encounters. I was already over 1000 at that point.

This is a very perceptive comment. It's not just what turns on both partners but what specifically is a turn off. Since we are talking about strangers getting together for an intimate encounter, getting things out on the table about what the client does not want to happen is absolutely essential for a pleasurable date. I always give a new escort a short list of things that I don't like. Its pretty short, thank goodness. So easy to remember. 😜

I'm not responding to Mr Twisted Mind's various posts following my post saying you were totally right about the theatre company not being aware at the time of her last public appearance that this lady was going to choose medical assisting dying. We only became aware at her funeral. All we knew at the theatre performance is that she had only a matter of days or weeks to live as she was suffering from inoperable and terminal cancer. Despite my saying he was totally wrong in his assumptions and that you had it dead right, he has gone on repeatedly to vilify the theatre company, the audience, Canadian legislation surrounding MAID and physicians who support the law. While assisted dying providions in Canada have onlt been in effect a few years and have already been modified by the government to correct some flaws in the first bill as a result of court challenges, the evidence is that they are gaining increased acceptance over time and more people are resorting to them.

There's something weird about his stats and his pics. 5'10", athletic build and 250 lbs. The pics show someone well under 200lbs of that stature. I'm guessing the pics are dated at the least.

I agree about Kiddo although we have never met. I did arrange a 3some once with an escort who had done a 3some with Kiddo and a client in NYC. That escort had nothing but good things to say about Kiddo in a 3some scenario. I understand he is versatile which helped a lot since the escort I hired is a total top. And I think the client in NY was a bottom like me. Things work out well when you have a top, a versatile and a bottom in a 3some, in my experience. Everyone gets to shine.😛
