  1. I've heard that phrase for a good part of my life. In Spanish, the phrase says: "No te creas mucho", and I've also heard that many times before. As a child, I was

precocious. As a child I was sometime shamed, after hearing the phrase, as an adult, I'd throw a mean, side-eye. The one thing that I've always wondered is when I questioned the meaning of said statement, I was met with the vague statement, "I don't know?", often stated in a very defensive way. Other times, as an adult, my humility was questioned. I'd respond to that with a, "If you want humility, stand in front of the ocean, and see how miniscule we all are beside it". I will pose the question to this board, what does, "Don't think too highly of yourself" mean??

  2. Unfortunately it just doesn't feel like it used to and its not because of the pandemic. I lot of the bars and clubs have closed and now it just feels like any other neighborhood.

Thank you for responding. A friend originally from Bonsall, now living in Cathedral City, stated Hillcrest had changed a lot. Raised in Chula Vista, but frequented Hillcrest/NorthPark/Little Italy a lot from 1987-1995.

  3. Never thought I would agree with this statement about San Diego but I do now. When I used to live there years ago it was always easy to meet up with an escort. Now the whole city has dried up. Even Hillcrest doesn't have the same energy it used to.

Hillcrest was my first LGBT community, how has the city dried up??

  4. Changing topic to the old All Worlds Resort in Palm Springs About 5, maybe 10 years ago. They used to have nude go-go dancers on the weekends and wondering if anyone remembers some of the dancers? Specifically Matt and Chris? Wondering if they are still in the PS area (prior to Covid). Fun and sexy guys.

Damn! I missed that?? Sounds delicious. My first, and thus far, only trip to Palm Springs, was in November 2019.

  5. My first question would be, what’s your motivation behind your desire to learn how to drive?

Can the semi autonomous vehicles hep you?

Could Uber or Lyft combined with public transportation work for you?

Honestly if where I live had decent public transportation I would never drive.

My motivation is that I'd like to leave San Francisco, and move elsewhere. Realistically, I'd probably have to learn to drive if I moved elsewhere.
