Dancing at Johnsons in Tampa this weekend according to their Instagram page. johnsonstampa Meet Angelo, starting tonight! Also currently on Rent.Men in Tampa, but travel info shows 1/7-1/15 in Chicago.

I found this story saved from years ago. Seems like it could be a story from today. The Irate Customer An award should go to the United Airlines gate agent in Denver for being smart and funny, and making her point, when confronted with a passenger who probably deserved to fly as cargo. A crowded United flight was canceled. A single agent was rebooking a long line of inconvenienced travelers. Suddenly an angry passenger pushed his way to the desk. He slapped his ticket down on the counter and said, "I HAVE to be on this flight and it has to be FIRST CLASS." The agent replied, "I'm sorry sir. I'll be happy to try to help you, but I've got to help these folks first, and I'm sure we'll be able to work something out." The passenger was unimpressed. He asked loudly, so that the passengers behind him could hear, "Do you have any idea who I am?" Without hesitating, the gate agent smiled and grabbed her public address microphone. "May I have your attention please?" she began, her voice bellowing throughout the terminal. "We have a passenger here at the gate WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHO HE IS. If anyone can help him find his identity, please come to the gate." With the folks behind him in line laughing hysterically, the man glared at the United agent, gritted his teeth and swore, "F*** you!" Without flinching, she smiled and said, "I'm sorry sir, but you'll have to stand in line for that, too."

Yes, between 2:00 & 3:00 am the place really starts filling up. One night the doorman had to unlock the door to let me out (I think it was getting close to 4:00).

I totally agree with your take on Johnsons, however with the right guy you can have some real fun in the lap dance area (voice of experience here). Unfortunately, you might have to weather a few nonexciting lap dances until you find Mr. Right. Good luck wherever you end up, and do let us know about your experiences. 😜

Was at the Boardwalk a couple of times this month. Not much there in the way of muscle guys. Johnsons is the place to go to see/touch them.

Correct. One thing I've learned is to pay the dancer the $20 when before the lap dance starts & tell him something like, "Let me know when our song is over & maybe we'll do more." If his lap dance is too short or not so much fun, I end it after the song. If things are going well, I'll add more songs. Also, if it's a dancer I'm REALLY interested in, I'll start with $40 (OK, fine, even $60 a time or two...) and tell him, "Let's start with 2 songs (or 3 if I gave him $60). Almost every time, I've had a very good experience with this method. Of course, there will always be the "Oops, I shouldn't have started with that much" dances (thank you alcohol 😒), but most have been satisfying dances.

Nothing even close to what they have at the Ft. Lauderdale location. A few have visited from that club for a weekend appearance over the last few months, but they have to pay for their lodging, food, gas, etc. and since they work for tips, it's not really worth it for them. There are maybe a couple of local dancers who are muscular, but again no comparison to the south FL guys.

A follow up to the previous post about valet $ at Johnsons Tampa. I went Sat. night & it was $7 instead of the $5 previously listed (their facebook post has been amended). I think the valet co. wanted to charge $10, but Johnsons wanted to charge $5. Due to the monthly quota required, they compromised at $7.

Saw this on their facebook page: Johnsons Tampa 21h · Excited to announce, that this weekend we will start valet service in Tampa. We secured another lot that will hold 30 cars. So we’ll have free parking on the street and valet ($5) for both lots. We’ll have more presence in the lot so you can park further away on the street and still feel safe. I know it’s annoying to get to a club, drive around for 20 min looking for parking, give up and leave.

I've seen that too. Almost every time, when they've quoted anything from $350-600 for an hour I usually say something like, "Thanks for the quick response. That's not the price range I'm looking for right now though. Maybe some other time." and I get a message back along the lines of, "What's your price range? I'm flexible." Not always, but quite often.

Lauderdale was back & he, in my opinion, just oozes sexiness. There was a good crowd & the dollars were flying onto the stage (especially when Sawyer was performing). 3 guys on the main stage & 1 on the VIP stage upstairs throughout the night. There were a few dancers I didn't recognize, so that's a good sign that they are increasing their roster. The lineup still isn't like it is at the Ft. Lauderdale location, which has mostly muscle guys. In Tampa, though, it will probably always be different. I know the Ft. Lauderdale club gets quite a few dancers up from Miami, and the south FL population is different from the Tampa Bay area for sure. One thing I have to say about this club though. I've been going to the gay clubs in Tampa for over 20 years now (and most of those clubs are long gone). I also go to Ft. Lauderdale 3-4 times a year & hit all 3 clubs when I'm there. But Johnsons in Tampa has hands down the friendliest employees of any club I've been to. From the doorman, cashier, to every bartender, table server, DJ, and the dancers, everyone gives a smile & a greeting when I arrive, or "good to see you again" and then wishes me a good night when I'm leaving. I don't know why that is, but I always feel welcome there. I really hope the business continues to grow for them.
