  1. I was probably in my early 50's and still getting that warning from my mother, "For God's sake, don't ever set your drink down in a bar without keeping your eyes on it."
  2. 7 ?? recording everything?? OK, then I guess I should explain about me & your lawn gnome..... 😉

  5. I remember having a teenage crush on him when he starred in James at 15/James at 16. Also enjoyed him in Salem's Lot, but don't recall seeing him in anything else.

  7. I signed up for a zoom workout class that was too advanced so when the instructor said, "Do a plank and bring your knee to the opposite elbow," I did a modified version where I turned off my computer and made pancakes.
  8. I went last night (Thurs) and was surprised to see a full house downstairs in the main bar with a few more customers upstairs in the VIP bar. This was definitely the biggest Thursday crowd I've seen there. They advertise a weekly amateur contest every Thursday, but usually don't get enough contestants for the show to go on. The prize is supposed to be $200, but no one signed up 2 weeks ago so it went up to $400 last week, still no volunteers, so this week's prize was $600. There were 11 contestants, I think. Sadly, only maybe 2 of them should have been on that stage in their underwear; I was uncomfortable watching them "perform", however they all got tips from the audience so maybe it was a matter of personal preference. The winner was a guy I've seen advertising on Rent.men and he was by far the best of the bunch. As far as the regular dancers, there were about 17 last night. A variety of body types, a couple with muscles, quite a few twinks (one visiting from LeBoy), white, black, Latino, & Asian. The owner said they'll have 30 dancers Fri & Sat, and that his goal is to get that up to 40 on weekends. The lap dance area was almost constantly busy during the 3 hours I was there, so that was good for the dancers as well as the customers who participated. 😜 Finally, if anyone remembers a muscle guy named Travis who used to dance at Swinging Richards in Miami and in Atlanta, he's going to be at Johnsons Tampa sometime in Feb. This was advertised on their Facebook page.
  9. Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the favorite fast food thread. 😜
  10. He was shown in the last photo when I looked just now.

  12. Watched it on Peacock last night. Didn't laugh once, didn't see ANY chemistry between the lead characters, therefore I didn't really care if they got together at the end or not. I found Billy Eichner's character too serious & obnoxious, not sure why anyone would want a relationship with him. Ugh, now I'll have to find something else to watch to cleanse my palate. Maybe the next movie will get it righter. 🙂

  14. I mentioned in another thread a while back that I'm looking into a green burial in one of the nature preserves here in Florida. They give the option of body burial in some kind of cloth covering or burial of ashes after cremation. Just checked one of the sites I'd been looking at and it says: At Heartwood Preserve, the deceased is not embalmed; vaults are not used and the deceased is buried either in a biodegradable casket or wrapped in a shroud (a large cloth used to wrap the body for burial). Cremated remains are also buried in a biodegradable container. The burial is performed directly into the ground, with the remains covered and mounded over with the same soil that was removed. The site is then reseeded with the surrounding natural vegetation. The grave is marked simply with a small metal plaque and its location permanently recorded. Over time, the grave site becomes a part of the natural environment. Families may visit the site as frequently as they like, and may memorialize their loved one in a number of ecologically friendly ways.
  15. A lot of recipes I've been looking at lately list wine as an ingredient. I've heard several TV chefs recommend always using a wine you'd prefer to drink rather than a "cooking wine". The problem with that is, I don't drink wine. I just never acquired a taste for it. Some of the recipes suggest substituting broth if the cook doesn't have or want to use wine, but I'd like to try some of these recipes as written before I go making changes. I'm open to suggestions, so what types/brands do you use for cooking? Thanks!
  16. Funny thing, I was looking at the photos of Donovan and thought I recognized him. I even recalled him talking about getting started in porn, so I thought, "he must have danced in Tampa." Sure enough, some quick googling came up with this: “He used to work at the same bar as me,” wrote Morgan Le Shade. To which user 813 mento replied, “yes he did smh. he was a dancer.” Morgan Le Shade intimated that the Gulf Coast club in question was Liquid Tampa. Hunter Vance, whose Twitter bio lists him as a porn performer, then wrote, “Haha that’s Brandon I use to dance with him back when he lived in Tampa.” So LAMag got in touch with Vance.
